Recover an unsaved photo

I accidentally deleted a photo not saved being viewed on my pc.  The source was a SanDisk memory card for my cell phone camera.  The photo is no longer on the memory card and it is not in the Recycle Bin of the pc.  The temporary file would still exist?  If so, how do I access the temp file?

I don't think that there is no temp file to find. However, you can recover the photo directly from the memory card with the below linked file recovery program. I've never had to do, but having seen this recommended program several times in these responses and others forums and discussion groups.

  • Recover backup library/Photos?

I have re-installed Win7 last week, after a backup completes on an external drive.

I have re-installed LR5 and now I want to recover the libraries/photos in this backup.  After a few attempts, it is clear, I have no idea what to do.

Here is what I have (copied to a folder on my desk):

    Back-up

    1 Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 4

    2 Lightroom 4 catalog Previews.lrdata

    3 Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 5

    4 Previews.lrdata catalog Lightroom 5

Note: I've added a few photos for the current catalog of the LR5

    Any suggestions for this task?

    Thank you!

    Mark

Move the photos to the same exact location that they were before your re-installed Win7

Move the .lrcat files two to HDD internal (assuming that is where you want your catalogs to be) and then double-click on your computer on them.

  • How to recover a specific photo in photo with Time Machine library

    Hello

I've always been very careful with my backups and I use Time Machine since I work on a Mac.

I was wondering how I can retrieve a specific photo I would have deleted it by mistake a few months ago?

    I use Mac Photo enforcement.

It seems that the only way to recover the entire library, but if I use this file recovered, I wouldn't have the new photo imported after that the backup was performed.

How to pick up only the photo that I need?

    Thank you

    Roland

You can not.  Restore the library on the desktop, open it with Photos, locate the pictures you need to restore, export to desktop, open your library of work, import photos and, finally, to remove the library restored to office.

Tell Apple what missing features you want restored or new features added in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.

  • How to recover permanently deleted photos iOS?

Recently, I accidentally deleted photos of my camera and later permanently erased from the recently deleted folder and forget they were there. I only have backups iCloud. I don't have any iTunes ones. I tried the deletion and restoration of two backups. A for a few days and the other nearly two weeks ago. Two of them restore all photos of how they were after the pictures have been permanently despite them being backups before the deletion took place. These photos are gone for good? It seems to me that they are. I thought for sure the backups restore them, but they did not. Any help would be appreciated. There are additional methods, I can try that I have not already? Thank you.

If you have been synchronized with iCloud, using a computer, go to iCloud.com/Photos to see if they are there, but I doubt they will. Looks like they are gone for good.

  • After recovering to the photo library, it downloads all the images once more

    Hello

I had a problem with my external hard drive and to wipe and transfer all the data from my backup drive. I also store my library of photos on my external hard drive. After having successfully copied library hard disk, now (at the opening of the photos) tries to download all the photos again to the cloud. Now, he began to create duplicates in my library as well as in the cloud. It's super annoying. Apple really has no idea how to deal with their cloud services.

Is there a way to say the photos that all pictures are already online, as well as locally? I mean, no not all images have a unique identifier?

    Thanks for any help guys!

    Marco

It should not create duplicates - where you see there duplicates?

Whenever you change the libraries of Photos, move a library or rebuild a library to download again to verify that the synchronization is correct

Not sure where you got the option "change of name".

To rename a picture in Microsoft Office Picture Manager
you just click with the right button on the thumbnail and choose Rename
in the menu. Rename the pane opens on the right
of the screen and enter your new name / OK.

The Remove option is just above to rename... Is it possible

  • I have just upgraded to Windows 7. We had all our photos in Windows Photo Gallery. Where are they? can we recover the Windows Photo Gallery?

I just installed Windows 7 and I can't find the pictures I had in Windows Photo Gallery.  Where are they?  Is there a way I can still use the Windows Photo Gallery?

Thanks for answer and sorry for not noticing that you have had so far.  Actually, I solved my problem by editing the registry and by associating file types .jpg and .jpeg image.  I think that the Viewer Windows Live Photo or other software that I installed messed up file associations and caused Media Center does not recognize files .jpg and .jpeg as an addition to the type library.

I changed the settings in the registry as follows:

    1. under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, navigate to the key named .jpeg
2 change the (default) string value so that the data field is "jpegfile" (without the "")
    3. Add a new string value named: 'Content Type' and together the data field "image/JPEG" (once again without the "")
    4. Add a new string value named: "Type perceived" and together the data in the field in 'image '.

Do the same steps above for the key under HHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT .jpg

I don't remember if I needed to restart the computer or not for the changes to take effect.  I solved this by trial and error because I remembered having to add the same entry in the Media Center in Vista type to get files .mp4 playing in the video library.
