Recovery does not have documents in format Word on Mac

I have several old documents from MS Word on my new Macbook Pro. These documents date back in the early 1990s and were originally written on a Mac LC2, then transferred to a model of Power Computing, on which several docs were written, then transferred to a Powerbook, which many were written, and, now, everything on the MacBook Pro. Most of these documents simply appear as icons on my screen faded, and they cannot be open or double click at all. Others gave me an error message, but I don't have that now. Others open with just a set of small boxes, no text.

Can someone help me get these? Thank you.

Called iText Express which is available for free text editor could open your old documents.

  • HP 15 laptop: by default windows recovery does not work after windows formatting

I had windows installed 8.1 in my computer. It has updated to windows 10 and I started facing problems with the drivers and software.

I formatted the windows partition and installed the trial version of windows 7 64-bit. Now I want to restore to windows 8.1, but the option does not come when I press f11 and go to the Recovery Manager in the start menu. "Restore to factory settings" option has disappeared and I can't select it more.

I have not formatted the recovery and reserve system partitions and only formatted the partition where previous windows has been installed (C.) When I run the Disk Manager, it shows that the system and recovery reserve partitions, although I can not open any of them.

  • Photosmart HP 6520 does not recognize the envelopes in Word for Mac

I've been printing envelopes #10 my Mac from word on my old HP 309n-c with no problems.  I now have the HP 6520 and it does not recognize the envelope size.  I was in and made sure the print properties were positioned and I still get the error message that I have not match the paper size.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Choose file > Page Setup. Choose Page attributes from the settings menu, and then choose any printer from the Format pop-up menu for. Choose any printer ensures that your document can print on any printer that supports the paper size that select you.

      • If the Page Setup is not available, choose file > print. If the print dialog contains only two pop-up menus and some buttons on the bottom, click the triangle beside the printer pop-up menu.

    1. Choose Manage sizes custom from the paper size pop-up menu.

    2. Click the Add (+) button.

    3. Double-click the name of the paper size, and then type a new name.

    4. Enter values in the fields the paper size and margins of the printer and then click OK.

Note: Make sure that the envelope is placed in the center of the printer with the flap upward

  • Satellite L670 - the system HARD drive recovery does not start

Now I want to restore the original Windows Home Premium. On the laptop is a second partition with a folder named "disk HARD recovery.

Can you help fix the problem.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Dinder

    Hello

This does not work because you have installed Win 7 64 bit as you said here:
    > I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, that the laptop came with Win7 Home Premium 32 bit.
But have you tried also pressing F8-> fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery?
    Try this

Otherwise, drive HARD recovery does not work because the boot manager has been changed or damaged as a result of the new install of Win 7 and this is why you cannot load HARD drive recovery.
That is why it s always recommended to create a recovery disc before changing anything on the HARD drive.

What to tell buddy you need recovery disks. I guess that you have a European model for laptop

You can order the recovery discs here:

When I press F12 at startup is also the recovery does'nt start.

    What I am doing wrong?

How can I get my laptop back?
    Any ideas?

    Hello

You must boot from the disc.
This means that you will need to insert the disc, have to turn on the device, choose ODD as boot device and this will start the recovery process.

    Try this!

  • BIOS update failed: the process does not have this system. The process of the utility is not complete.

I have a Thinkpad T450s and I'm trying to update the BIOS version 1.19 to 1.20. I've created a live usb with the 'el tortio' - image extracted using linux "dd". Once I boot on the USB under Legacy-BIOS and select upgrade, it proceeds witht the error message "the process does not have this system. The process has been cancelled. "I have disabled the protection against theft, AMT (I think this is the option) and I'm sure that I use the correct .iso file from the downloads section. I don't have a Windows operating system installed, but I'm able to start in various linux distributions using Legacy and UEFI methods.

    Here is my BIOS information.

    BIOS boot specification is supported
    Targeted content distribution is supported

What could you suggest to get the update disc to recognize my system?

I think I've fixed the problem, I formatted FAT16 USB drive and not in FAT32 and also when you use the geteltorito command, it is preferable to use the-o option rather than a redirection ">"syntax. " An article said that it is best to drop in a DOS command line using the USB boot, then run dosflash.exe from there, however, I could not edit the .bat file, but it is an option however.

I hope this helps someone stuck in a similar situation.

  • Why apple does not have a Dual SIM iphone?

Why apple does not have a Dual SIM iphone?

I have 2 numbers and one of the members of my family has 4 digits. We both prefer to have an iphone with a Dual-SIM and member of my family would rather have 2 iphones with dual sim each, rather than an iphone and 3 different phones.

In other words, it would be easier and much better than holding an iphone and another phone for several numbers.

Is it possible that Apple plans to make iphones Dual SIM?
