Recovery for Equium M70 necessary disk

I tried to retrieve my Satellite M70-337 using the product recovery cd that came with him, but he is corrupt and I now have a white laptop.
Where can I get a new recovery disk from? The laptop is too old for me to be able to order one from Toshiba.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This model of phone is too old and you probably can not drive recovery of the new order.
What you can try is to contact the nearest service Toshiba and ask them if they have one that you can borrow for testing purposes.

Alternatively, you can use the install of WXP Microsoft for installing the OS disc. Download page for all the necessary drivers, you can find on Toshiba you don't need recovery disk.

If you need help on this topic let me know.

I want to format my PC, but I'm with some (stupid) questions...

The CD that came with the laptop (speaking of labels, Toshiba and Microsoft) has in the main cover, something like this: "recovery disc".

But there is no reference to Microsoft Windows (like the ones you buy for desktop computers)...

Easy: it's the CD that I can format my PC? Windows XP is included in it?

Thanks for your valuable help! :-)

    Hello Daniel

There are no stupid questions but sometimes stupid answers (maybe mine too). ;)

I hope that this one will be good and useful for you. Each new laptop comes with the pre-installed operating system. When you pay the notebook also purchased operating system. A single copy and license belongs to you. Toshiba create a disc of recovery for clients, and this recovery disk contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, Toshiba designed tools and utilities and also some applications like WinDVD or Norton antivir software. All this software allows you full use on the first day.

Facilities process is quite complicated, especially for people without much experience. Because of this, Toshiba usual to make the OS simply possible facilities. In just 20 minutes (after the recovery procedure) OS and all hardware components will be configured correctly.

Be careful with the recovery media delivered. Protect it from damage and treasure. Who knows how many times you must use it in the future.

If you have any other questions about the recovery procedure, please write again. Here you will find useful tips how to use and optimize HARD disk space at the same time.

  • How to create recovery for Satellite M70 CD

    Hello

I recently got the Satellite M70 on of my friends.

But he lost his recovery cd and I would like to start with a fresh install...

How can I create a CD of recovery for this laptop?

    Thanks in advance

    Well, you have tow options.
First of all, you can order the CD from recovery Toshiba as suggested by the above user.
As far as I know it s not expensive.

Second possibility might be to create your own recovery CD using a 3rd party such as Norton Ghost for example application.
Creating own recovery CD would be possible since all Toshiba drivers and tools are published on the European driver Toshiba page.

So it s your choice now ;)

    Hi Michael,

You're talking about recovery disk from the manufacturer created from the computer recovery partitiion or are you talking about a generic recovery for repairs disk (making it impossible to reinstall the operating system)?

If the recovery disk from the manufacturer, please contact technical support from the manufacturer for assistance that the process of creating a disk of the partition recovery is their process and not Microsoft and varies by manufacturer and sometimes even my computer within this manufacturer model.  We do not know how to deal with each type or how to handle a problem such as you experience with this process - even if we knew that the manufacturer make and model specific to computer which you did not (but with which we might be able to provide specific links to the manufacturer).

If you mean a recovery for the repair disk, then try using the following to do an and see if it works any better than any method that you use: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/141820-create-recovery-disc.html.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Need for a disk recovery for Equium A110-252 (model PSAB2E)

Or if someone has such a drive. I appreciate a loan - or - buy from them! Thank you

This satellite is the old model of laptop and I believe that you can not order a copy on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
But you can try to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized provider and ask if they can help.

Otherwise, you can install OS using Microsoft facilities drive. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba supports the page.

  • Need for a disk recovery for Equium A100-549

    Hello

Recently, I tried to restore my laptop to its factory settings. However, the recovery cd stopped working after it has begun to wipe my hard drive and does not complete the task. I don't think that the cd will work more. My computer now with no operating system and is stuck in limbo, the only way it will work is if the recovery is completed all the way, but I need a new CD.
I tried to find the recovery here disc: https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/serial.aspx, but it seems that my laptop is too old and that they do not stock the cd more.

Is there anywhere else I can find the cd?
And, is it possible to find anywhere in the Canada?

    Thank you very much
    Z10

    Hello

If you have the European model for laptop, you will not be able to get the restore disc in the Canada.
In my opinion the easiest solution for you is to get Microsoft WXP installation disc and install the operating system on your own. Windows XP Home edition is more so expensive.

Buy Windows XP edition family (SP2) installation disk, install it and then download and install all the necessary drivers and all the other stuff of Toshiba. Everything you need you can find on the download page of Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  • Where can I get a DVD of recovery for Satellite M70?

    Hello

My friend has a M70 396 and has no recovery disk and can't seem to windows or recovery console.

I tried to him order the CD from the link of media recovery on this site but it is said that they do not have the disks for 2007 models or earlier.

I have a DVD of my own M50, which is a bit older, but has the o/s-I guess that it wouldn't work?

If not, where can I get one from? He got one in the box or he lost so I don't know what to do except buy a Windows CD and do it from scratch but prefer to perform the Toshiba recovery if possible.

    Any help much appreciated!

I can imagine authorized in your country service provider has one in archive and can give you for the installation of the OS. If this isn't the case, it is not the end of the world.
For the installation of the OS you can use the Microsoft WXP installation disc. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

    Good luck.

  • Where is the recovery for Equium A100 disc?

My laptop has completely screwed up and I was going to do a full reinstall by using the restore disk provided when I bought my laptop. However, I can't find anywhere and I was wondering if there is anyway that I can get a replacement?

I have an Equium A100 running on Windows XP. I bought it in November 2006 PC world.

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You can order the necessary recovery discs with the service provider authorized in your country.

On the page of European support of Toshiba, you link to the global database of ASP where you could choose the nearest ASP.

  • Need to drive recovery for Equium A200-15i

I'm a noobie and posted this query in the box Equium, so apologies for swap. I bought an Equium A200-15i computer about a month ago. There was _no_ recover CDs in the box just the Windows Anytime upgrade disc. I contacted the store where I bought the computer to be told to put in the computer and they would take the details of it in order to create or order the CD. I did this and then said that they would have to wait until 'a guy' is established at the end of week, who knew how to create these discs and back again once then.

Because of the great distance involved in travel, I was reluctant to make a second trip to the store and suggested that if they take all the details of the computer now, they should be able to create this disc and then after it me. I still have not received this drive at all. Now at the same time, the guys at 'tech' in the shop said they believed that I wouldn't need a CD master. In addition, they imply that it should be possible to create this disk myself at the first start-up or windows environment itself. I do not remember this option of provision for me at this time and I can't find anything on the computer that would allow me to accomplish such a task.

Here, I'm confused. I know not enough about computers to realize that you need a Master CD to recover a system failure major hard drive or simply to clean and re-all over again!

What are your thoughts on this situation? Should this model really a MAster CD. How do you create one. What should I do next? Thanks for your time and your patience with me on this

    Hello

I wonder why you did not receive the Toshiba Recovery CD with your laptop.
I'm 100% sure that the CD or the DVD should be bundled with the laptop Toshiba together
I put t know if the package was already opened or not, but the DVD must be available!

SO either you go ask your original dealer of laptop to a Toshiba Recovery CD or simply contact you the Toshiba ASP and will be stopped a new!

  • Help needed recovery for Equium A300D - 13 X

    Hi all

Having experienced too many problems for the list with my satellite a 300 d 13 X, hardware and software, I decided to go ahead with a restore to the factory settings.

My first step was to create 2 discs recovery DVDs, using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
As far as I know, two recovery disks were created with success, insofar as the recovery disc creator has stated as such.

Not knowing what step to take next, I started the laptop with the fist of the disc in the disc drive, two thinking recovery that it would reset the laptop to its factory settings, but it does not.

    Now, when I start the laptop, I get the following message;

    BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart

who restarts the laptop showing the above message again.

By pressing F8 at start up does nothing.

    By pressing F12, multi boot selection, reveals a start with 3 options Menu;
    HDD1: TOSHIBA MK2046GSX-(S1)
    CD/DVD: MAST * ADVD-RAM UJ - 850 S-(PM)
    LAN: Marvell Yukon 88E8040T

    If I select the CD/DVD option, a black screen with the text;

    Windows is loading files

is shown. I am guessing it is the correct path to recovery.
However, after the screens following recovery about the language selection utility etc., a text filled with the dialog box

    X:\windows\systems32\cmd.exe

Cross, but eventually reached a static state line:

    Copy of F:\06948XSP.swm to V:\HDDRecovery\SWImg 1/6

without to successfully complete the recovery process.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards
    KeV.

    > My first step was to create 2 discs recovery DVDs, using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
    > As as far as I know, the two recovery disks have been successfully created, insofar as the recovery disc creator has stated as such.

What to tell buddy you've done everything right.
The recovery disk was created successfully (you saw a message saying this?).
Boot from recovery disk should start the collection procedure and you must follow the installation on the screen.
    Usually, this should work.

The error; BOOTMGR is missing says that boot manager on the HARD disk has been removed and it of not possible to boot from the HARD drive.
You must boot from the CD you have done; by pressing F12 choose CD/DVD drive

Try to format the HARD drive using another CD of Windows.
In this case, you need to set SATA compatibility mode in the BIOS, then you could boot from the WinXP CD.

After that try the recovery disk again
