• Is there a button auto double text line spacing?

  Hello!  I am writing a manuscript which is to be presented with text double-spaced.  While I have not physically go through all 40,000 words and insert another space is a button or function I can use to do this for me?

  Hi Tam,

  Writing a manuscript is identical to any work published, the extra space is required between the 'lines' no letters.

  You don't say which application processing, you use to type your manuscript in. If you use Microsoft Word then, Yes, there is a button that will double space your lines for you.

  If you use Word 2007 I suggest you open your manuscript, and then press CTRL + A (that is, hold CTRL on your keyboard down and press A. This will select 'all' your text. Then go to the Ribbon of the toolbar (make sure that the Home tab is selected) and click the button that has lines on it and one up and down (this is located next to the button text justification and the trainer of paint (paint can)). Click on it and select 2.0 your lines will be double spaced throughout your manuscript now.

  If you use Word 97 or 2003, then you will find the key to line spacing on the formatting toolbar (it is the one with the police, the font size, bold, italic, thereon). Once again, the button is right next to the Justification button. The procedure of double spacing is the same as Word 2007.

  You can try to shake the phone to cancel. In practice, I found it rarely works, however.

  Connect the external USB keyboard and test functionality. Check if the use of the external USB keyboard would repeated the same problems.
  In case the external USB keyboard would work correctly, the problem is related to the internal keyboard to be replaced.

  Warranty is still valid?
  If so, get in touch with service partners in your country. The keyboard should be replaced free of charge.

• Recovery/annotation of text on a graph of intensity

  I'm trying to overlay a text on a graph of intensity. It would be good if the text overlay behaved like an extra layer, like the IMAQ image to display indicators.
  I tried 2 methods.
  1. I'm creating a text overlay, and I am placing it on an image control. The image control is placed on the graph of the intensity with transparent borders (pretend that there is not).
  The problem with this method is the background of the text overlay is not see through. The other problem is I can not pan and zoom in/out with the tools of graphic intensity given that the image control is located at the top of the graph of the intensity.
  Later, I can see questions trying to pan as the overlay should follow the pan movement.
  2. I'm creating a text overlay by using the image control and its conversion into a graph of intensity (convert picture to pixmap etc...). This second intensity graph contains only the text overlay. Then I'm merging the two graphs of intensity by pulling on some 2d on a main intensity graph subsets to the place corresponding to the mouse pointer, replacing it with the second graph of the intensity (the one containing the text overlay) and put it back in its original spot in the 2d array.
  It's slow thing (700ms for a text overlay) and the question is now the overlay is merged with the graph of the intensity, it changes color when you play with the Z scale palette and grows with the zoom.

  Use the property of field intensity, draw images-> before.  It's actually a superposition of control photo directly on the chart (free).  I like the images in the field who have been snuck in the graphics, there are a few versions a feature very underused.  Now just use all the photo functions to create taxt or that you could want.

• recovery of deleted text documents?

  Hi, I accidentally deleted 2 text docs from the desktop and emptied the trash!
  Is there anyway that I can get back safely from these 2 documents without having to buy expensive software?
  I think what happened was I deleted the contents of the folder "recently changed" in the documents/computer and didn't know that he could have deleted the originals. Or maybe that it wasn't that at all but something else.
  I does not click on them and delete them, they just disappeared from my computer and I can't find them in computer research.

• Texts in doubles with my Motospeak

  Hello! I have a Motorola HX550 that I use with my Samsung to Skyrocket on AT & T. My problem is with the app Motospeak.

  I send double texts every time that I reboot the flare. There is no trace on my phone that I sent them, but one or more of my recent texts go out again as soon as I re - start. I found the culprit is the application of Motorola 'My Motospeak. Uninstall the application, the problem disappeared. Looks like it's the answer, but I REALLY like the application; It's a big part of why I got the HX550 and why I recommend Motorola headsets for friends and family.

  This problem did not exist on my HTC Inspire with the same application and headphones. The Android Version on this phone is 2.3.3

  No idea how to resolve this, or another application that works the same?

  I found the problem because the flare was requiring a reboot to get the receipt of data. There is a problem with both phones LTE on AT & T. I have a temporary solution in place, but every now and then I still need to restart the phone. In hindsight, I can't say if it inspires had the problem or not. It is so stable that I never restarted... I find the functionality of the application to be close to perfection, nothing else comes close. I use the old version of Motospeak, located on this site without any problems, but it doesn't have the functionality to text, just to listen and respond.

  A mod for versions that would be nice would be if the software delivered texts after a phone call. Right now, if you receive a text during a phone conversation, Motospeak just doesn't know. What would be better would be if after the end of your call, Motospeak are looking for new texts and ask if you want to listen to them.

  Recently my hardrive has failed on my computer hp laptop, I return it to the store still under warranty and they send to repair by how.

  I return the laptop yesterday and some paperwork saying the hardrive was replaced, the laptop already worked when it arrived and I had right to use it for about an hour before it crashed (windows screen 10 to meet a problem and the device need to reboot)

  When the unit restarted, he was blocked indefinitely on the hp loading screen (nothing other than the hp logo and the white rotating circle) and so I turned it off after a certain time, removed the battery and held the power button to drain everything left power and tried again.  This time, I got the hp logo and the text of 'attempt to auto repair' but after 10 seconds or so, it goes to a black screen and nothing happens.

  I decided to try to restore the factory settings, I turn on the unit then turn it back you press f11 to start Recovery Manager, the text appears in the lower left corner to say that the unit had registered that I was pressing the button but then the screen goes black and nothing happens again. I started then in the BIOS menu and reset all settings by default and tried once more, but nothing happened once more.

  IM really hoping there is a simple solution and that I don't need a new another hardrive or possibly a new laptop.

  I would take it back to the people who have tried to fix it. The error message means that you have a bad hard drive. I wonder if they actually replaced your old.

• Application AlienRespawn/DBR, IDS_ chips everywhere (fix locale)

  Last update 25/06/2013: Dell has released an official fix for this problem, it's the same fix, as described above, but its a blindfold on the executable. I would recommend that run you this patch, because it is a method more faster than manually replacing the DBR.xml

  I'm documenting it in a new post in the case where others have this problem and you want to know why. You may notice that your AlienRespawn application might look like this when you upgraded to Windows 8:

  

  I found this is the case for me. This also occurs on the generic version of Dell backup and recovery (DBR) as well. I contacted Dell and they also ignored such a problem with the application. I was told that my recovery partition is corrupted and that I should reinstall. I'm not going to do that, and thankfully I found the problem. This has nothing to do with my recovery partition, the question is really very simple and very probably an oversight.

  When you have downloaded AlienRespawn, you would have probably ended up going to this download link for English users Alienware among us:

  The first thing to note here is the en - us. It's what we call a language, it is a set of parameters that defines the different language based including information in the user interface of the software. What Dell backup and restore (Branded as AlienRespawn for Alienware machines) does not have application is working with the locale to en-GB for example English UK. The works of the fine Installer, it will install the application and configure the EP environment and if your recovery partition is good condition she will identify and link to it, what you will find is the application is full of IDS_ written everywhere from the opening, as seen above

  What is all the IDS_ text?

  Before ask you, no its not foreign language (appropriate for the sound running system!), they are actually placeholders for the text to be displayed to detect your language (or locale).   So in fact you can apply to display what you want, but it shows just how the locale to en-GB are missing. To fix the correctly, I made an updated the DBR.xml which corrects the labels of text for EACH part of the application.

  The good news is this fix also works for the generic version of backup Dell & Recovery, the text is the same. Minor changes are the name of the product and technical support information, as well as a few other items related to the brand. It is however mentioned in the DBR.xml through variables in another file, so you don't need to worry. Do not forget that they are both the same application outside of a slight tweak in appearance Visual and brand image. The real difficulty will come from Dell via a new version of the software for the applications, they will need to compile in support en-GB. Your Dell move!

  How can I apply the fix now?

  Last update 25/06/2013: Dell has released a fix for this problem. It fundamentally changes the DBR.xml without having to actually touch the file. The following alternative instructions are old and should not be used. They were left in case you want to review the changes manually.

  2. Extract the content
  3. Run the LocaleFix.exe
  4. Then it will write a log file (in the extract location as well as display a command line output, confirm file success.png this output matches)
  5. Reboot Dell Backup and Recovery or AlienRespawn and confirm that the IDS_ text is fixed.
  Alternative method (only use if you know what you are doing):
  1. Download the fixed DBR.xml file from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/loltjwtzucommul/DBR.xml. Save it anywhere on your machine
  2. You will need navigate to the following location, depending on your system:
     1. For AlienRespawn: C:\Program Files (x 86) \AlienRespawn\locale
     2. For Dell backup and restore: Recovery\locale and C:\Program Files (x 86) \Dell Backup
  3. In this folder, you will see a file named DBR.xml, make a copy of this file, rename it to something like DBR.xml.bak
  4. Copy the fixed DBR.xml, you just downloaded in the relative directory that is applicable to you, say yes to overwrite the file
  5. Restart AlienRespawn or Dell Backup and Recovery Center, the text should now be displayed correctly. No more stuff IDS_

  I hope that this clears up a mystery to people!

  Your welcome. I already reported it to Alienware technical support via phone, after I found the problem and provided the fix, I contacted the officer in charge of my case of support with a summary of the issue. If possible the software team behind DBR/AlienRespawn must be made aware of the local problem with en-GB, a new version must be compiled with the fix described. I imagine that most of the users with GB as their locale will experience this problem.

• Signatures - inconsistencies/conflicts

  After digging through the definitions of standard signature, I came across some inconsistencies and errors-possible.  Should I open a TAC case to eliminate them?  A few posts in this forum?  Or y at - it another way to have these questions?

  For example...

  - 0-3308/GIS is a component of the meta-signature 3338/1

  -GIS-3308/0 is made obsolete by GIS 5580/0

  - GIS-3308/0 is always enabled and not retired by default, even if it is obsolete

  -GIS-3338/1 references still 3308/0 as a component and does not reference GIS 5580/0 to all the

  This just isn't for me.  Shouldn't 3308/0 being disabled/retired by default?  Shouldn't 3338/1 being reference 5580/0 as a component upgrade?

  I am looking for a query display the name of the tag as the column name and the value in the tag as a row of data.

  I have to print the values within the tag to a file by choosing the value of the flags. the sequence of the tags will vary each time, as the tag name will change dynamically.
