recovery partition has been deleted!

I have a pavilion dv6090 notebook and I noticed that his recovery partion has been removed.i do not know how it hapend but I have not removed myself.so what do I do now? How can I solve this problem?

Hello

All you have to do to start the process is the first recovery disc in the DVD drive and reboot the laptop - this should then boot from the disk and allow you to start the recovery process...

If the above fails to boot from the disk and load just in Windows, restart the new laptop and typing away at the esc key as soon as the laptop starts to appear the Start Menu.  Use the arrow keys to select the DVD drive and press ENTER.  As I mentioned before, be sure to back up all your personal files before performing this procedure.

Kind regards

  • 2000-2d27cl HP: recovery file exist but the recovery partition has been changed

recovery partition has been extended and after several months I had some problems, so I decided to reset my laptop to factory settings but Recovery Manager computer cannot recognize the recovery partition. Recovery partition has been extended and I use this partition as a backup partition for my photos, programs and music. The reason why I want to reset to factory settings is because my laptop in early labour right and after ten minutes start to work very slowly, I can't do anything!

    Help, please!

Thank you for your answer, but I was already able to reset my laptop to factory settings. My recovery partition has been extended, but the drive letter is different. When I realized this error, I change the drive letter. Recovery Manager started smoothly with F11 taster during startup. So, I think that everyone can do the same thing, you can change the size of your recovery partition and you can use it as backup partition, but do not try to move or copy your restore file to any location.

    Thank you

I don't know why your PC is saying your partition disappeared - you're right, it seems to be missing. I know that if you use the wizard to help to make your recovery disks backup copies and then ask him to remove the recovery partition to give you more space on the hard drive, it will remove the factory image HP of Windows 8 for the recovery partition and let the normal Windows repair tools.

There are tools, but which allow you to create your own recovery partition full with these tools of Windows repair and a new image of your instalation so that you can restore from that. You can use this tool: Windows 7/8 - creator of Partition Recovery OEM available here: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/21978-Windows-7-8-OEM-Recovery-Partition-Creator but it's a lot of work and it would be faster and more easy just for your data backup and restoration of your HP recovery disks made you from the support Assistant. If you did not the disks, HP can opt to send you a copy... they do not normally this but I read that some people have luck to get a free copy of HP media... otherwise, they want you to buy recovery disks ($40.00). I guess it depends on the exact terms of your situation.

An alternative is to use Macrium Reflect Free Edition to ghost or clone your system. You can then restore your entire system even with your custom programs installed, to the exact state it was when you made the backup image. (this may take several dvd) I suggest that you go down that road because your system with Macrium Reflect restore is much faster than restoring from the HP recovery discs. Even if you do not get another copy recovery disks, you must use this tool to make another backup that you can customize to your liking. Your re - installs will be faster, they will already have your chosen installed software, and you will save wear on your HP recovery disks.  You can then delete the recovery partition to regain this space on your hard drive (since you cannot access in all cases, you will not need this space being taken up).  BUT... you cannot restore Mode UEFI which is what HP comes with. You have to go into your Bios settings and switch in the Legacy Bios mode (which disables the secure boot) FIRST or else the Macruim recovery boot disk will not load to install the recovery image. After the system re - installs you can go back into the bios settings and disable bios Legacy and reactivate if secure boot you want. (Windows 8 charge mode UEFI bios active secure boot or Legacy mode... it's your choice.) UEFI mode will load faster, but it will cause problems if you want double boot the system with another OS) hope this helps.

  • How findout if all the partitions have been deleted and now a laptop that has Windows 8 operating system using Windows Vista with a shell IE 9?

I bought a laptop broken at a friend's House. It is not used for the operating system windows 8 and wanted to use the Windows Vista operating system. Son of friends put in place this laptop for it, which was new when she bought in a retail store. Is there a way I can find out whether all the partitions have been deleted during the installation of Vista? I still see window 8 logo that I sign as an administrator user on this laptop.

When I log on this computer, the previous owner of the screen name is the only one that appears. I go in Control Panel, click Add another account, then I see the screen name I posted. I could use the WiFi from my PC at home that Win 7 OS.

When I started working with the laptop, I was able to bring control of the camera. Now I thought that the version that I use does not allow this operation. Be happy with any Positive help with my problems.

    Hello

    Start > type CMD

Right click on CMD and select run as administrator

    Type diskmgmt.msc

    Press enter

This opens where you can view the partitions on the disk management system

Who has installed Windows Vista, your son or friend?  Fact that they create a dual boot environment or reformat?

    http://www.technorms.com/8438/Windows-8-create-hard-drive-partition

Multibooting requires separate partitions on the hard drive of your computer for each operating system.  To create and format a partition, see create and format a hard disk partition.

To check if a dual boot system in place, start > Type msconfig

    Click on the Startup tab

You see two operating systems listed?  Windows 8, Windows Vista

    http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/how-to-change-default-OS-for-dual-boot-system/

I think that Windows 8 has the following partitions

400 MB Partition Recovery (contains recovery information dated from before my upgrade)

    • 300 MB EFI System Partition
    • 350 MB Partition Recovery (contains information for recovery of my upgrade)
    • 17 GB Partition Recovery
    • 220 GB of Partition primary

Windows Vista has drive C and drive D

Done reformatting refers to a hard disk or partition that already has been formatted or that contains data on it. Reformatting a disk deletes all the data on the disk.

How exactly do you run restore?

If you have used a disk recovery or a recovery Partition...
to reinstall your system as it was when you first
bought it... your personal files may be missing
unless you do backups on an external support.

There are programs of software designed to recover the
deleted files. The following freeware is an example...
a Google search will find more.

If there is no file on your hard drive with
not been crushed... There is a little chance that
You may be able to recover some of them.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)

    Hello

No, your brand auto recovery pricing won't recreate the recovery partition. If you want to re-create the recovery partition, you need a set of HP to perform the factory restore.

Self made pricing factory restore will only effect C: partition

  • air mail iPad watch 1 but e-mail icon has been deleted

    Air iPad

the mail icon shows 1 unread, but all mail has been deleted.   I found an old post with the same problem since 2008

but I do not see 'preferences' in lists so I can't follow their suggestions.  Also, they say something about a "repair".

in general mail box and I don't see a repair or the other option.

I think that the discussion who speak was on Apple Mail on a Mac computer, so that has no relevance on an iOS device.

Try the basic troubleshooting steps. Close and restart your device.

Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Drag to the left to find the application you want to close. Swipe up on the preview of the application to close. Then restart your device.

If this does not work, delete the email account and add it back again.
