out of memory?  a lot of memory!

Go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  Then when it works very well, use a file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.  This gives a basis for new and incompetent messages and should fix things.

Outlook Express does not open because "He has encountered a problem and needs to close" error report sent many times without success. Any ideas? Thanks, Keith J B.

    original title: Outlook express

If Bruce's response does not help, then move all the dbx files in the message a directory of storage for OE will create a new message store.  Then see if that solves the problem.  If this is the case you can use the file | Import | Messages to get from the directory to which you move them.

  • My outlook express does not work. Whenever I try to send an e-mail, it gives me this answer: "windows" host could not be found.

    Outlook Express problems

My outlook express does not work.  Whenever I try to send an e-mail, it gives me this reply:

The "windows" host is not found. Please check that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'windows', server: 'windows', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 11001, error number: 0x800CCC0D.

I don't know what that means or how to change it.  If anyone knows how to explain how to solve this problem, I would be very happy comments. Thank you!

    Hello

    1. which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

    2. have you upgraded from Windows XP to Windows Vista?

Outlook Express comes with the Windows XP operating system. It's an e-mail with Windows XP client.

With Windows Vista email client is Windows Mail.

The ccsvchsy.exe list file you most often is a process associated with Norton 360. However, malware is sometimes assumed the names of the legitimate files in order to deceive the end user.

I suggest you make a system full scan just to be sure.

Here is a link that will give you information on how to perform a full scan of the system:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

, Note 1: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note 2: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • My outlook express does not open.

I get errors the application could not open the Outlook Express message store. Your computer may be interrupted ot memorey or your disk is full. For more assistance, contact Microsoft support. (0x800C013B) then when I click OK it says Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE. DLL could not be initialized. Outlook Express is not installed properly. It was working fine and I have no memory problems. I have Windows XP.

    Help, please.

I can't restore to a day of classes, and I can't find the base of messages because OE does not open.

I tried to do it on my own from your site, but cannot go further.

    Thank you

See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#7 , you probably need to remove folders.dbx and OE should start.  After making a backup of your messages and if there is corruption still it would be advisable to go to the file. Identities and together a new identity and then when that works very well, go to file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

  • E-mail-Outlook Express does not open.

Don't know if I'm in the right place to ask this question. When I try to open my Outlook Express I get a box that reads, "Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE." DLL could not be initialized. "Outlook Express from my is not installed correctly.    He told me to contact Microsoft support. It worked fine yesterday until I clicked on a box to leave my files be compacted. Since then, I have not been able to open Outlook. I tried to restore my computer to 4 different dates, but he tells me that it is not able to restore to previous dates. I'm not a computer genius, so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Which is good news for beginners.

Normally, restore bak files are a little easier, but since you had to create a new identity, you must import them manually.

Open the trash and all the bak files, you must drag the desktop.  Do not use the option restore.

    Follow the instructions here.

How to restore individual dbx files
    http://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1

You will need to rename them, and create the corresponding files in OE to their housing. It is not difficult, but read carefully and just do one at a time.

If you do not understand the instructions, post back before trying. You can drag an additional bak file on the desktop that you need not just to a series of tests.

  • Outlook express does not, error code: 0x800c012e, 23

    Outlook Express will not start.

    (0x800c012e, 23)

Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE. DLL could not be initialized.  OUtlook Express is not installed properly.

Occurred after the cleaning disc and defraging.  Couldn't do the system restore.

    XP with SP3.

Thank you for the help, Steve.  The problem wasn't the folders.dbx, but with one of my folders of identities.  I have several email addresses that I use with Outlook Express.  The Identities folder has been damaged and I couldn't read.  I've reassigned the name of the folder and Outlook Express has begun.  Thank you once again.

  • Messages to Outlook express does not print

Suddenly I'm unable to print my e-mail messages in Outlook Express. Only the title is printed. I use Windows XP that is perfectly up to date. I have some Norton software and do not use any other antivirus software.

  • Outlook express does not allow me delete some of my e-mail messages? Why?

    Outlook Express

I right click and select delete and nothing happens.

I also click on delete in the toolbar and nothing happens.  Some messages will be usual, but another deleteas lately never remove.

    No error message.

You have corruption of dbx files.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    Folders.dbx is probably damaged.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    Note these possible side effects:

When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. Please understand that you will lose the mail directory structure, and message rules will probably have to be edited.

  • Outlook Express does not accept attachments or links in e-mail messages sent from Outlook!

I am trying to solve this problem for my mom, that's NOT it at all, and she lives in another State!

I use Outlook (had Office 2007 on XP but now set to level to 2010 on Win7).  My mother uses Outlook Express with Vista.

Whenever I have send his spare part, she can't open them.  They are all photos.  She said: "there is no where to click."  When I've been there and have been able to test this, she's right: there is not a paper clip (i.e., no attachment).  She also told me that he "didn't there no place to click" on the links that I send, also.  Oddly, this happens with another person that I send to, which (by chance) Outlook Express also used.  I never hear of someone else.  I think there are some setting on their ends, but I was not able to understand.  There is nothing click on slot the Internet Option settings to allow attachments (he said something about it in the option, but it is not a clickable area next).

Anyone know what could be the problem?  Thank you very much for your help.

You must attach the images to an e-mail message in plain textformat. Outlook Express and quite a few other email clients, do not include Outlook to RTF (Rich Text Format) and will never see the attachment. Bruce Hagen

  • How to stop outlook express does not send emails more because of an email earlier had a wrong address

Sorry if this is an old topic but I can't find any info about it:

Sending 6 or 7 emails via outlook express, if you have a bad email address none of the sent emails after will go that they all sit in the Outbox queue behind the bad email. is there any how to make outlook express send other emails and just let the bad email? It is very annoying because I don't get to see the real prospects and know its happened when people say that they did not receive the email

Is the message with the wrong address still in the Outbox?

It is a question that is more how your ISP handles these messages. Some will accept the message and send you a Mailer Daemon note that the message has been delivered. In this case, it left your Outbox.

Other service providers Internet will not accept the message to all who let her in your Outbox and blocks all future messages. There is no setting in OE to get around the policy from your ISP.

    Does that help?

  • Outlook express does not open links on web pages e-mail

Is no longer, I can click on a link of e-mail on any web page and that my outlook express open (6) upwards to compose new e-mail messages. Does not open upward.  Copy and paste is a poor solution band-aid if e-mail link name is different e-mail real address (often).
I think that an update of firefox (firefox8) may have disabled this... only guess. Hyperlinks to other web page still work. Just impossible to open link in email that opens my outlook express 6 to create new message and puts in e-mail address in the 'To' line up.

These also work: www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx and www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx and www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx
