  I understand that you have a 8600 Pro Officejet which puts a black vertical line in the center of your copies/scans. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem.

  I recommend the rest of this document of vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans as it should be in a position to help to cross that line.   I bought a new HP8740 about three weeks ago and everything worked well until today.

  Now I have black vertical lines down the scan or photocopy.

  First of all, I turned off the printer for 30 seconds and put the plug directly into the wall.  It did not work.

  I turned off - unplugged for 5 minutes - but still has the black lines.

  The only difference between the analysis of the dumpster and using the ADF is where scanning occurs. Uses of the ADF Strip glass (1 "wide) toward the left side of the pane of glass for analysis. Cleaning if ideally white scanner ADF lid and glass ADF scanner should have solved the problem.

  I suggest you to do a blank copy on ADF, keep the page in front of you and carefully clean the place, you get the line in the band scanner & the white plastic strip.

  If the issue is always I suggest you to clean the ADF mechanism itself. You can watch a video of HP http://hp.care/2bYt7Qu that will help you to do this. The video is made using the Officejet 8600 printer, but it's the same for your printer as well.

  I understand that you are facing problems while scanning / copying using the ADF. Please, try the following steps to resolve this problem.

  1. Make a blank copy using the ADF. Ideally, you should get a blank document with the two vertical lines.
  2. Keep the page out on your dish / the main scanner bed facing you.
  3. Follow the line or streak on the paper to the box on the ADF glass is the origin of the problem. Carefully clean the thin "strip of lid of scanner ADF white' and 'the band glass ADF Scanner' with a damp lint cloth.
  4. See the figure below. 3 is the glass Strip ADF & 2 is the white cover ADF scanner.

  

  These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results.

  My new printer prints very well.  But when I try to scan or copy, the pagae is filled with white and the vertical lines of color.  Any thoughts?

  Just talked to HP.  Clean the scanner bed with bottles of water and a lint cloth.  Do you have a hard reset by unplugging the power cord, wait 15 seconds and in him reconnecting again.  Now, scanning and copying work very well.  Go figure.

  This could be a hardware problem and maybe also a problem of glass dirty scan.

  * First of all, I would like to try to reset the printer:

  (1) unplug the unit while it is turned

  (2) unplug the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly

  (3) separate the power cord from the power brick in the middle of the string

  (4) wait a minute

  (5) unit rear cap for a direct decision-making power, not a surge protector.

  If the lines continue, then try the steps in the document for lines/stripes in scans/copy/Fax.  Click here and select the blank copy for troubleshooting option, in this case.  Let me know how it goes.

• Satellite 5105-s701: one or two red vertical lines on LCD

  My 5105-s701 suddenly started showing a line or two red vertically (top to bottom) of the screen. They appear as I change the angle of the screen and sometimes stay after the removal of the display. I can get rid of them by moving the screen several times. It seems to be to any angle and they appear at random - but very often, every time second I move the lcd screen or so. When I touch the screen lightly one of them always appears.

  I think that the two lines are always the same coloums of pixels, and color seems constant as well. The lines run on top of window what ever is open, is like most on dark colors and we see only barely on top of white color.

  Would it be a contact/brazing loosens or what happens?

  Please test with external monitor. It's the best way to see it is because of the faulty graphics card or the LCD screen.

  We have a Dell 2335dn Printer Laser multifunction, under intensive use for about 2.5 years out of warranty. From today, digitization has roses vertical lines, using the glass plate or ADF, scan to PDF format or image regardless.

  Any thoughts on what we can do to remove the lines? Printing is fine.

  The printer/scanner was overheating. We turned off for 20 minutes to cool and scan resumed normally. We ordered the users to use a different printer for secondary purposes in order to avoid the excessive use of the machine.
