(Redirected) 32-bit to 64-bit problem!

Hi all

I have a Dell D630 and recently installed Windows 7 64 bit on it.

He had Windows 7 32 bit installed before and the laptop is 64-bit compatible I thought that an upgrade would be much better, but since I have updated it seems slower and much less sensitive to open programs, web pages etc. all round.

The laptop has 4 GB of RAM & Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50 GHz

Currently, it has no other programs installed on the laptop, as it's just been improved then had no only a virus protection and google chrome installed.

Did anyone know why I have this problem and why it looks like a big mistake because the 32-bit version was much faster, more responsive and felt better.

Thank you.

As you have a laptop, better make this laptop in the computer Forum post here:

  • T500 initialize the W10 64-bit problem

I have a rather strange problem. Basically if I fresh start my T500, aka show etc. of a complete power off, the splash screen, but the display never passes the actual Windows OS 10. I can say the system is running and if I manually set the system sleep with FN + F4 and then put it out of the screen will be responsible for sleep. Not a terrible problem, but a slightly annoying extra step I have to do at each boot up.

I haven't used this laptop for quite awhile and had done a completely fresh from the W10 - 64 bit installation when I decided that I needed as a notebook of basic work.

Any ideas that might help with this would be greatly appreciated

If you have switchable graphics, enter the BIOS setup and choose display. Set it ti discrete and disable switchable any graphics OS detection. Then let it win 10 install the video driver. This can take a few hours to win 10 to realize you've changed video card.

  • Windows 7 media center languages entered into version 64 bit problem

    Hello

I use windows 7 64-bit edition as my desktop of the OS. Until a few months ago, I used the 32-bit version of the system. I use English laguages (United States) and in Hebrew.

I'm a media center (my office is connected to a HD TV and I have 2 Extenders in other parts of the House). When you use the windows Vista and Windows 7 32 bit media center Media Center, I was able to use English and Hebrew on the application media center for nothing - music/video and research names in both languages. When I migrated a couple of months in the 64 bit version of windows 7 (clean install, no upgrade) I had again running and Windows media center to the top. English and Hebrew are used for display (video/music names), but I can find only in English. The option on the keyboard to change the language disappeared. This can be corrected?

If you can help, please do, as I couldn't find any information relating to this problem.

    Thank you

    Yaron

    Well, figured out.

I had to modify the new user setting language support. When you set the keyboard and language support, there is an advance tab which will allow you to copy your profile of language support for new user accounts. I did and then disconnected the server extender, erased any user account (MCX? ones) and then reconnected the Extender. a new user has been created, and now it works well.

Thank you all for the evidence you provided.

  • Driver with ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP under Windows 7 Pro 32 bit problems

Windows 7 Pro 32 bit reports after installation of the driver that no driver is present. There was patch drivers provided by ATI to solve these problems, but these drivers did not resolve the problems. Has anyone had success with this installation, and if so, would you please provide me with how you did this? Thank you. BTW, I did the ususal uninstall and then install, reinstalled the operating system via a facility clean and then installed the drivers, etc, etc. So far, nothing has worked. After Googling this issue I found that many others have had similar experiences with these driver problems. Now I have XP Pro and Win 7 Pro installed via dual boot and XP Pro is running pilots ok with no problems. Thank you!

I came across the work of question three years ago on one of my machines.

It is a problem of compatibility between the nForce 3 and AGP.  I don't remember the exact details, but with a nForce 3 and similar day SIS chipsets and a few others when they had a dual-core CPU in them, they would change the AGP port to use a PCI driver or something of this nature to enable the multi-core support (such as it's been hacked on toward the end of their development).  On Windows Vista and upward, such a workaround solution does not work.  SiS and some other published updates driver for the motherboard chipsets which he sorted, nVidia did not worth it, despite nForce 3 sold as Vista compatible.  nVidia pulled this stunt with a lot of things at the time, including their GeForce 5 cards, saying they supported Vista, same with the beta drivers and then they just canned originally.  They took both.

It is a solution that will be the kind of work, but as you may have guessed, you will need to disable one of the cores of your CPU.

You can do this by going to msconfig, click on the Startup tab, click Advanced... and changing the number of processors at 1.

Reboot and your graphics drivers will spring magically to life.

Last night I updated to windows 8.1 8 and have had problems since. I have a 64 bit HP ENVY #C2L94UA # ABL m6 after update, I tried to play Devil may Cry game that worked perfectly under 8.0 and then he comes to start charging the computer turned off. I did research online and exhaustion possibilities why including the abolition of the xbox drivers and reinstall the game but nothing doesn't always turns off the computer. I then opened AMD vision, to try to adjust the settings, I noticed I was now just as 3 options of things to settle. I could just adjust power consumption on the processor dependimng on if the computer was plugged in or not. Went a whole optiuon to adjust graphix and all the things to do it graphically disappeared. Then I redownloaded the catalyst drivers and tried to reinstal. Once the computer off again. Every time I have try and update the graphics it stops. Site Web HP says that all my drivers are up to date. Then, I rebooted the computer by pressing ESC and tried to do a system refresh. He failed. All the options of wiping my computer clean and refreshing failed. I said that it lacked a partion for one of them. Even system restore will not work. It shows my Ati video card in device manager. Please help me ty

OK I solved my problems that I did start the computer in safe mode and then I uninstalled my cards video from Device Manager. I then restarted the computer and installed the version of catalyst that was said to work with 8.1 and switchable graphics cards. I have restsrted and have more no video issues at all.

  • Boot Vista 32 bit problems

MacAfee bypassed downloaded Trojan horse on my laptop a few months ago.  I bought Malwarebytes pro who has found, quarantined, and even removed. Since that time? While it fires without problem, my laptop does not always load windows correctly and must be repeated started or have removed and reinstalled battery to start windows.   Eventually windows will open and operate normally. It doesn't have the standby mode only after being completely closed. I just got a clean stall re done by the shop where I bought it cost £80 and the problem persists.  Get the sympathy bit or not at the dealership.  I managed to find how to use the HARD drive recovery disc I made myself and picked up the phone to the factory settings.  As I handed out programs, startup problems are still there?  Diagnostic test indicates no problem, have also run chk disk that does not solve this problem

    Hello Anthony662,

Sorry, you experience this problem.  Reading your posts, I show, you have a recovery disk, but you have an installation for Windows Vista disk?  If you do or are able to get one, I suggest to perform a repair of the start-up of an installation disc.

Do you have confirmed that your laptop is updated with all the drivers, BIOS and FW?  I suggest you look at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any new updates.

  • Computer does not work - task scheduler, free 32 bit problems Analyzer engine

    Hi guys,.

I've seen this problem in several forums, but I think that my problem is slightly different. I turn on my computer, after which I get loads of different signs in this order:

Task Scheduler engine has stopped working

debugger analysis free 32 bit has stopped working

Control Center Catalyst host has stopped working

AND then a list of messages saying all my programs are shut down. I can't use any program and my computer then hangs.

There was no harm to my computer until today. (I entered another of course), and it is only a year old, so I don't understand what goes wrong.

I initially buy this Vista computer with a CD to upgrade to windows 7 and therefore no cd of windows vista. I tried the upgrade to windows 7 by doing a clean to get rid of this, install but it says that I don't have enough memory to do this (although the RAM in my computer is not overloaded and that my hard drive is empty)

I'm a computer user quite amateur, so everything that concerns me - please could someone help me by giving me some simple instructions please?

Turn off the DEP is not set in stone and can be reversed, you could try and see if it solves the problem, if he succeeds then at least you'll have a workaround solution to fall back on in case of emergency.

As with any new installation of Windows 7, if drivers are available, you should be able to locate at HP by following the links on this page at HP driver.

A pilot and a CD Application cannot start, but may be called for (time) if any other provided or created Recovery CD is bootable and used first?  In other words, the first two-CD box set CD is bootable, and the second of such a set is not.

If it was my decision I dump Vista and install Windows 7.  First of all, I would like to do as there are Windows 7 drivers available on the HP site.  Other equipment manufacturers that you attach also require Windows 7 drivers, for example, you could connect a printer of Canon or Epsom etc.

I bought my PC 4 months and I had one thing after another.

It is still off after 2 minutes and you will have to re-enter, enter the password to the start screen.  The tiles on the start screen often do not respond and I am often without e-mail, this time it is said on the parameters are not AVAILABLE.  My emails come back to drafts or returned to people I did not in the send to box when he's working.

  • Activation product key for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit problems

I've had this computer for a while. Several years ago, a friend of mine asked me if I would like to install windows 7 Professional at half price because he pre-ordered 2 copies at half price. I was running Vista and bought from him. I have never had any problems with the product code, through 3 motherboards, (HP hurts many mothers), and have a computer repair store to install a new hard drive by using the same product activation code. I reinstalled Windows 7 pro 64 bits once before experiencing a lot of problems and so about 10 days ago. I have not had any problems until yesterday when I had a messaqge saying that my product key has not been accepted. I have no time to this address until today and I keep re - enter the product key and get the error Code 0xC004C008 message that says that my product key is not valid. Until that time, Windows update has installed more than 100 updates without problem. What can I do? I bought this in good faith and the product key worked before, whenever it was necessary.

    Try the phone activation:

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
    (2) press the ENTER"" key.
    (3) to select your "country" you are in the drop-down list.
    (4) choose the option "activate phone".
    (5) stay on the phone * do not select/press any option * and wait for a person to help you.
    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
    (7) the person must give you a confirmation ID, copy it down on paper,
    (8) check that the ID is correct in reading the support person.
    (9) to enter the ID number, then click 'Next' to complete the activation process.
