(Redirected) Alienware Area 51 R2 - video card is dead - can I get a replacement?

Hello

Curious to know if I use here. Last weekend I woke to my PC beep to a black screen. 6 beeps in a row over the post, then nothing. Beep codes indicate a video failure. I remove the Nvidia GTX980 card and replaced by another, I had. PC boots fine and video work. I try reinstalling the Nvidia card in different locations, check the cables and the alignment, still 6 beeps and no video.

I bought the system in March 2015 and the warranty expired month last on 4/1. Of course :(

Am I out of luck? It is an expensive problem to have happen after only 1 year.

As you have no warranty, then you are "out of luck" greetings to Dell providing a free replacement graphics card.

  • (Redirected) Alienware Area 51 R2

I recently bought an Alienware Area 51 r2. Its been works like a charm, until recently. I have about 4 months and recently he shot himself. I push the power button to turn it off, and it turns on. Sometimes it's instantly, sometimes it's a few hours later. There is no model really. Is there a way to check it and see why it is light on its own?

  • ATI Radeon 9250 256 MB pci video card and I can't have my pc to recognize.

I have an ATI Radeon 9250 256 MB pci graphics card and I can't have my pc to recognize.  Does anyone know if it is compatiable with my motherboard Intel D865GLC AAC27501-403?

I looked in the bios to disable the existing onboard video but I can't seem to locate it.

I am running windows vista.  Is it not compatiable with Vista?

It seems that the latest drivers available for this card are for Windows XP. I suspect that it won't work in Vista as a standard VGA card.

  • (Redirected) Alienware x 51 not as good as it can be

I had this problem long enough (since December 24, 2015)

Started with the AC adapter dying on me while it was operating normally the day before. I went and bought a new one (same as the original) and finally managed to do start.

However, after this failure of AC adapter, I not was able to play games with high graphics. For example, CS: GO, Tera, GTA V...

The computer will automatically close down and I have to plug it into the AC adapter and turn on plug it back to the computer.

Sometimes when I'm watching videos or loading the images, the computer fan will speed up and be really noisy as well.

I suspect there is something wrong with the video card, but I want to make sure if there is anything else I can try or I need to know. I hope that I have the solution to what to do here as well.

    Thanks in advance

  • I need to update my video hardware (video card)? How can I do?

I need to update my hardware (video card?) video for a game that I want to play and I have no idea how to do that. I don't know where to look for what I have installed on my computer. Help please?

    [Moved from comments]

    Hello

When you ask questions here at least provide your computer model number and version of the operating system and the system requirements for the game in particular.

And a little tip for you: If you don't know what you're doing on your computer, you expose yourself to expensive damage to it by opening and remove the material and installation of new equipment.

I suggest you get out your computer a good computer repair shop, local as well as the requirements for the particular game and ask them to upgrade the hardware that run the game.

As well as installing a graphics card upgrade, you need memory RAM (memory) must be installed as well.

System requirements for the game will tell you that information.

    See you soon.

  • (Redirected) Alienware Area 51 locksup at startup

I bought an Area 51 in April and to in a month or two, he begins to block on the loading screen. When you press the power button, it goes screen Alienware and points to gel down and the computer wont do anything else. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. I have to hold the power button and wait until it turn off, and then try again. Tonight it's 5 times in a row so I came here. I paid for the premium support / Premium phone support and care full but for some wonderful reason when I click on technical support, it is said that she is not included and he gives me a number to call to pay the tech support by phone. Before I try this, I thought I'd come here and get answers as to why this is happening. Thank you

  • Suddenly all of saved passwords are gone on my pc. How can I get back them?

All saved passwords disappeared suddenly. It's there, but I restart my PC and open my Firefox and none of them are there.
    How should I restore them?

The extension 'Remember password' has been reported to cause problems with passwords disappears, so if you have this extension and then remove (uninstall) it.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You would need a copy of backup of the files logins.json and key3db (eencryption key) If passwords are really gone.
You can check the logins.json file to see if the file contains documents from password.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

  • 2 days of scanning photos are missing or on the scanner, how can I get them off the scanner?

HP Photosmart Premium e all in a single Seriers c310

Since it's Vista and you mentioned scanning using the solution Center, you won't find a copy of the analysis on the scanner.
If you are sure that you have selected the scanning to a USB key on the computer, but the disk have the images scanned, maybe try to look in your "My pictures" folder, for things like picture001, image002, or maybe scan001, etc. or subfolders with a name of "day of the month. If none is found, I'm afraid, you must re-run the scans and this time, select a folder/disk with enough free space.
