(Redirected) To return to Windows 8!

Hello world... I apologize in advance if this question was asked. I tried to find him before I posted.  I have improved my alienware for windows 10. I thought that I would fall in love... not the case. I went my 30 days to restore windows 8.

Is it possible to actually return?  Where can I buy Windows 8 software and install it myself?

Thank you very much!

Kim

    How to reinstall Vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

  • RETURN TO WINDOWS 7

What do you do when you don't have the windows.old file and you try to uninstall windows 10 to return to Windows 7 while do I do

    Hello

If you don't like Windows 10, there is provision integrated into Windows 10 for you to restore to the previous operating system, within 30 days.

"You have a month to upgrade to 8.1 Windows or 7, depending on what you upgraded, so Windows 10 isn't good for you"

    http://www.TechRadar.com/au/news/software/operating-systems/you-have-a-month-to-downgrade-to-Windows-8-1-if-Windows-10-isn-t-right-for-you-1299430

If you are unable to see if in the first 30 days of upgrade option will be removed and, you will have either to reinstall the original operating system from the media original or an Image of the system as you did the original operating system before you perform the upgrade to Windows 10.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Or you may need to follow these methods to reinstall Windows 7.

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

If you have a preinstalled OEM license (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, IF they still have them available.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

The COA sticker with the product key is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

    See you soon.

  • Return to Windows 10 for Windows 7

    Separated from this thread.

I upgraded my PC to window 10 and didn't have any other problems with it. I lost the documents and valuable images and must get back them. I bought a recovery program and it didn't work at all. I am on a limited budget and can't afford to spend my money on something that isn't a job. I'm hoping to return to window 7 I'll be able to recover these items, as well as some programs such as Word Processor window. I worked and worked on this PC for days trying to recover not only the lost files, but to restore Windows 7 without any result. Please help me as soon as possible. My lost items are very valuable, and I found that 7 window to be more user friendly.

Sandy Alberts * address email is removed from the privacy * the sooner you can help me, will be greatly appreciated.

See Gerry Cornell answer and note that you can do this only if you did an upgrade, not a new install of Windows 10, and if this was done in the last 30 days.

If you have lost your photos and documents, it seems that you did a clean install, not an upgrade, and you're out of luck.

Another point: it looks like you do not backup media outside regular photos and documents. If this is the case, you've played with fire. You should definitely make a backup before taking a big step to a Windows Update, but do it regularly even if you do not have. "As it has often been said, it isn't a question of * if * you will lose all your data, but * when".

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

By the description, you like to deactivate windows optimize desktop.

As the question arose after return to windows 7 there is a possibility that the display driver may got corrupted. You have already made linear troubleshooting to solve the problem. I suggest to update the graphics card and check.

Make sure that your display driver is up-to-date. Then follow the steps below.

    1. press on the Windows key + R to open Run
2 type devmgmt.msc in run and press on Enter.

  • Windows 10 suddenly returned to Windows 7, then could not start

    Hello

I ask this question on behalf of the client that I am helping with his computer.

I have yet to his computer to check his story, which is very undetailed and wave, but I was hoping there is some information out there to specify what can be the cause and the solution.

I installed Windows 10 (with a few problems because of an incompatible program) successfully somewhere in December.

More than two weeks later, the customer reports that his computer has been restored to Windows 7, without his intervention.

A few days later, the customer reports the computer now refusing to start at all, apparently stuck in a sort of "System Restore" (indicating errors to cause of which he cannot start) and which shows no signs of progress, even after loading of so-called whole day.

Of course, the event beforehand is quite strange. Since when the operating system downgrade itself automatically?

This has occurred within the period of 30 days in which Windows can indeed be restored to Windows 7, but I don't think that in the choice of the user in the settings.

    • Y at - it no information as to how this could happen and remedy?
    • Is the previous installation of Windows 10 possible cause to this problem?

I support the latter is highly unlikely, because it is unlikely that the activities I did on his computer of lead a problem more than two weeks later the success of use, and that a cause can be determined from just this event.

My client submits it must be, because it uses the computer for everyday tasks.

Thanks in advance for any information provided,

    Isaiah van Hunen

    Hi Isaiah,

Thanks for posting in the community.

We understand your concerns and we will help you solve the problem.

According to the information that you provide, it is unlikely that the operating system has returned to Windows 7 on its own, there are a few changes that took place leading up to the OS to roll back.

If the installation of Windows 10 has failed, it would have restored to the previous operating system installation and not after two weeks.

To narrow down the cause of the problem, I would like you to provide the information below:

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

2 did you receive error messages when the computer restored to the previous operating system?

As you have said that the system restored to the previous operating system, and is in a State that won't start plu. I suggest that you try to restore the system from the Restore page of the system the system is currently blocked in. If you are unable to solve the problem, I suggest that you insert a previous operating system bootable DVD and try to retrieve the comp uter.

    Hope this information helps.

Can I return to windows 8 given that I don't like windows 10

NOTE: When you migrate to Windows 10, previous Windows files and folders are automatically stored in the folder C:\Windows.old . This record must be kept by Windows only for a month. After a month 10 Windows automatically deletes the folder. Yes, you can restore the previous version of Windows in a month after upgrading Windows 10. Also, if you run Disk Cleanup in Windows 10, be sure to uncheck the option "Previous Windows installations". If you clear the checkbox, Windows will delete all of the files and folders in the folder C:\Windows.old and you will be unable to return to an earlier version of Windows.

    1. the app to display the parameters of the Start Menu and click the Update & security.

3 click the option and it will ask you for the reason for restore the previous Windows version such as the previous version of Windows was easier to use, was faster, etc. Simply select a given option you want and click the next button.

4 it will ask a few more things and you just need to click on the next button.

That's all. Your computer will reboot and appears "torestore your previous version of Windows...". After a few minutes, your previous version of Windows is restored successfully.

NOTE: If you are unable to access Windows Desktop 10, you can use the alternative method:

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

Sorry for the inconvenience that you aren't able to recover Windows 8.1 during the updating of the computer.
