(Redirected) Vostro 3360 hardware problem

I have a Vostro 3360 I'm trying to fix up.  It seems that when I turn it on, it immediately acts as if the 'g' key is held down.  In the bios, in the name of windows on the screen.  I can nothing that can stop him.  I can't type on it either.  I even took the keyboard out of the machine and it still occurs.  I plugged an external keyboard and still get this problem.  It seems to be a problem with the motherboard I think?

Its a laptop nice and I wouldn't mind replace the motherboard if this would really solve the problem.  But I would hesitate to buy a new motherboard $ 300 and have the same problem because I forgot.

Any help is appreciated.

    > Diagnostic memory tool detected hardware problems in my laptop. Now I don't know what part of the hardware's fault.

I would assume memory one or two failures of modules.
I recommend you to check them both.

Remove a module and try to use the laptop with a connected module.
Then another module test. Make it as different memory locations.

If two modules are corrupt, then you will need to replace both.

Yesterday, I was chatting with HP support.

It was the most frustrating conversation of my life. I told them exactly what I had done, the syptoms, everything and then the guy goes, we go just to install drivers. Even if I told them, it's a hardware problem, the orange light, the device, the update of the firmware Manager. All this fell on deaf years. It seemed that the guy knew nothing of the software support and read just via a script. arrrrggghhhhhhh! IT IS THE LAST TIME THAT I WILL EVEN INVEST IN A CV!

so I just buy an adapter wifi for 30 dollars and call it a day!

  • MBPr 2013 - is this visual glitch a hardware problem?

Is attached a screenshot of my App Store as it is currently. This kind of effect 'glitch' also sometimes appears on my desktop. Add to that, twice in the last two days, my computer crashed randomly when using Chrome.

The only known issue with my laptop is currently a low capacity battery - nothing serious, but it is less than 80% of the capacity of origin so OS X recommends a maintenance.

Could this glitching and crashing (crashing has only just begun) be an indication of a more serious hardware problem?

    Thank you.

You need a new battery in... work for the Genius Bar in the units of the retina.  Since the display problem can be demonstrated, they can look there as well.

  • Analog multichannel peculiar read problem with PCI-6014 - hardware problem

    Hi all

I see some very special behaviors with a 6014 when I do a multi-channel analog playback.  I am revamping of existing code to a customer, which implies the passing of the traditional DAQ in the DAQmx.  Traditional DAQ does not use a system based on the tasks, my client was in the process of reading clocked by the software for only one channel at a time, depending on what signal was of interest to both.  (application is a series of tests on a control PCB who will interface with some hardware, checking the answers and tensions and others)

When I rewrote the application using DAQmx, I created a single task that contains all of the analog inputs of the map (AI0:15).  When I am interested in a particular signal, I indexed the channel since the reading chart data.  The strings that contain the actual data are 0, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14 and 15.  All channels are NRSE.

One of the signals of interest lights AI7.

When I connect the AI7 signal with an oscilloscope, I read 2.5V - which is exactly what I expect to see.

    When I read AI7 using MAX, I read 2.5V.

    When I read AI7 by itself using a single channel DAQmx reading (i.e. 1 Samp 1Chan or 1Chan N Samp), I read 2.5V.

When I read AI7 simultaneously with all the channels that have a greater number of channel (i.e. AI8-15), I read 2.5V.

When I read AI7 simultaneously with any channel that carries a lower channel number (i.e. AI0-6), I read 2.34V.

    ?????

    For example, if I read AI0:15, I read 2.34V on AI7.  If I read AI0:7, I read 2.34V.  If I read AI7:15, I read 2.5V.  If I read AI7:10, I read 2.5V.  If I read AI6:7, I read 2.34V.  And so on.  Any combination of playback channel which includes results AI0 AI1, AI2, AI3, AI4, AI5 or AI6 during a misreading on AI7.

All channels read because they are supposed to, no matter what channel is included in the job.  AI7 is the only one that illustrates this behavior.

I wrote code for the acquisition of data for 10 years now and I have never seen anything like this before. The behavior is consistent.  I am sure that it is a hardware problem with the Special Commission that I use.  That's the advice of my customer, I don't know when they bought it, but I think they have had for years.  I doubt that ever, it has been calibrated.

I guess it's more I'm curious than anything else - what on earth would cause this behavior?

I'll tell my client to replace the card, if really I just asked my own knowledge.

  • Hardware problem potential keyboard T410

    Hi all

Since yesterday I was faced with a problem with my T410, which is potentially due to

a problem of material with the keyboard.

A few specific keys don't work anymore. These seem to be the key to turning the power on, the Fn key.

the Alt Gr key and the ThinkVantage button.

I guess it's a hardware keyboard problem, since I can't use the Power On button for

start the laptop. Fortunately, it is possible using the marketing of the fingerprint reader.

When the laptop is running (using Windows 7) everything works fine, except the cited

buttons. I can't access any functions of the keys (e.g., the reading light) Fn or Alt-Gr symbols (eg.

the symbol that is on my keyboard press 2 @) or power down with the power button.

    I tried various easy fixes:

    * By ensuring all drivers are up-to-date

    * Remove and replace the keyboard

    * Static discharge procedure (unplug all power, 10 presses and holding of 30 sec of power button / stop)

    Check the Bios settings

    * Replace the battery

    * ...

Unfortunately, it has not changed the situation.

I wonder if the simultaneous malfunction of these specific buttons pointing to a certain

hardware problem. I hope a replacement of the keyboard can solve this problem, but it could be a

    problem with the motherboard.

    Advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

    HD

It's hard to say, it could be the motherboard (more unlikely). But more likely it is the keyboard that plays up. The keyboard is least expensive to test for specific problems that you mentioned in the T410, so it's the most cost-effective test for fault case.

  • ProBook 450 - second series of recovery media, blue screens windows 7 (win 8 okay, not the hardware problem)

    I had a new HP probook 450 G1.

Immediately, I swapped the 750 GB for one SSD drive and tried to install Windows 7 from the recovery media. The operation has failed. Contact HP support, they sent new media.

I used new media. Windows 7 operating system installed. As soon as I install the drivers, the PC goes in a loop of the blue screen.

I can install the chipset drivers and wifi. Don't know what the other driver is causing the blue screen. I can also install from the windows media 8, so this isn't a hardware problem - wife hates just windows 8.

Basically, please either give me a few troubleshooting steps or I'll go back to the PC. I'm NOT insterested in a manual process long to determine which driver is the problem and the recovery download media manually the drivers one... should work.

After you have reinstalled the original 750 GB hard drive with the replacement media, I managed to an attempt to "recover". So, I decided to sit and try, by the process of elimination, all drivers.

It turns out that the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver was causing the problem. When I installed everything BUT that, the laptop works very well. Notice that I use a fairly new SSD Crucial of M500. It is quite possible there are other people out there see it. You really need to install the driver of rapid storage technology, it is fast enough - not not even 100% sure what good to give the driver.

So I gave myself wrong guidance by the initial recovery of defective media. The second group of work recovery media, but the version of the driver intel 12.7.3.1001 does NOT work with the Crucial M500. I checked the Intel site for driver downloads, and it was not clear that they have a newer driver appropriate right now. Maybe someone else can tell?

  • W700 touchscreen works do not (hardware problem)

My Tablet seems fine, but I can't use the touch screen. The first time it happened it was December 18, and has happened for windows session. It seemed to be a stroke of luck.  Then I thought it was drivers or something.  I actually did a "System Restore" to 15.  When he returned to the top it worked.  But then it happened again... after waking up the next day.  Nothing to do with updates.  Now it doesn't work at all.

Then it dawned on me to check my Android build on the same computer.  I also have an Android-AI as well as Windows boot - 8.1.  Of course Android also does not recognize the touchscreen.  In point 8.1 of Windows, in Control Panel configuration-system it says "no net or enter key is available for this view.  So this prompted me to stop fiddling with the drivers and updates since the site of Acer, Microsoft or Intel.  It must be a hardware problem.

    I am not under warranty:

So I jumped the open machine.  I disconnected the battery for the whole night.  In order to get that I need to unplug the screen.  I fiddled with other things in there.  I was hoping that my violin would be reset some static or something that could be causing the problem.

In any case... I need to replace? Or what could be the cause of the problem... Or I'm just watered... Doom just buy another device?  Just use it with bluetooth or wired usb things stuff?

Normally, if there is a problem with the hardware with the touch screen it is the cable between the scanner and the motherboard. They come sometimes loose, causing the digitizer to no longer be recognized. If you have verified that carefully, and that the cable is not cracks or breaks, so it's going to be a draw upward, or the digitizer or the motherboard. Probably it would be cheaper to replace the digitizer to test, but you take the risk that it is the motherboard instead...

  • Aspire 7750 G internal mouse has stopped working! Hardware problem or software?

Quite simply the query. The mousepad on my old Aspire 7750 G does not, and all the settings suggest that it works correctly. My external mouse (via USB port) works very well; It's only a problem with the pad on the computer itself. Could this be a hardware problem? The computer has 4 years, so no guarantee, unfortunately.

If it is not material, can someone help me with advice on how to fix?

Sorry the question stupid, but... have you tried pressing Fn + F7?

If you already done and are still dead, have you checked the Device Manager if it appears?

    Hello

If it's a hardware problem, then it can be fixed on the Internet forums.

Try another store that could be more sensitive to decent work.

If not, maybe this can help.

I'm doing tech support for the family and I'm stumped. They had a Dell 530 with an Intel 82562V-2 and is no longer connected to the internet.

    ipconfig/all statements

    (2) check that your Internet Protocol connections are Correct

I installed the latest Intel drivers and TCP IP settings are checked for V4 and V6. I even went as far to install a new Dynex Ethernet card that gets the same mistakes.

I even tried the netsh reset ip and netsh winsock reset command. I have no idea what to do next. I searched glasses and found similar problems with the same model of Dell and card, but they have been fixed by rebooting.

    Hi MButIer,

-How long have you had this problem?
-Was any change in software because the computer before the show?

    Follow the steps mentioned below:

    Step 1:

Temporarily disable the antivirus software (and any other security software) and the firewall on the computer as a test. Once disabled check if you can connect to the internet without any error.

If disabling the antivirus software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the antivirus as a result program. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall programs.

    Warning

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

Perform a System Restore to a point before the show and check if this solves the problem.
