Reduced HP product warranty?

Hello and thanks in advance.

Probably I'm missing what is obvious, but I really have doubts about the following:

I bought the product mentioned above in a store known worldwide [also present online] exactly on the 02.03.2015 a few days ago.

While I was logged in line below HP message about my warranty has appeared on my screen.

The store where I bought the product indicates that the warranty is for a period of 24 months.

Why I get the message below [see picture] HP saying that my warranty runs out in August 2015? It's not even 6 months. Are not guaranteed normally 24 months or less than twelve months?

Thank you and great product to HP. completely satisfied.

Hello

First normally guarantee is 12 months, some machines have 24 months and some machines have 3 years but less than 12 months. Please contact HP in your country, and they will set for you:

  • Toshiba UK - trouble with European warranty

    Hi all

"I have a new Toshiba laptop with a valid European warranty, laptop broke down with a HW error on graphic card / display, so I contacted Toshiba UK request to fill the European warranty, the Envoy me ' some self called expert PC" which is the local expert refused to service my laptop and fulfill its contract with toshiba , but after that I refused to accept his totally ridiculous and likely completely illegal terms where there were literally pushing me to relinquish my rights guaranteed by law!

Above all what probably makes it on a large scale, is the worst that anyone should be well aware, is that they ask the complete product, i.e. including * hard drive with all your data and in the service contract you sign who can erase your data and that you agree on that *.

Transfer of real meaning when you buy toshiba products and it brokes down, you can either get free warranty service and possibly lose all your data or you will have to pay for the service by you own on product warranty... nice cheat!

So now... here's someone from toshiba, which will explain this or you simply delete this thread?

    > So now... here's someone from toshiba, which will explain this or you simply delete this thread?
Hi buddy, for me, it looks like you aren't aware that it is a community of users.
I put t know why you think that the admin would remove this thread, but of course the post has not been deleted

In any case, its a shame that you were not satisfied with the service.
Generally if your warranty is valid, (Toshiba laptops, PC all-in-One, netbooks and tablets are covered at least 1 year standard warranty, valid from the date of purchase)
all hardware issues must be fixed in terms of warranty and of course free.

Details on the warranty is available here:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/services/standard-warranty/ tab ' FAQ for Laptops»
I recommend that you check the points:
-What is covered by the Standard warranty?
-What is _not_ covered by the Standard warranty?
What should I back up my data?

On this page you will find the database with all the access points that are available worldwide
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

    > Above all which is probably actually there on a large scale, is the worst that anyone should be well aware, is that they ask the full product, including hard drive with all your data and in the service contract you sign who can erase your data and that you agree on that.

To be honest, it is nothing unusual, and sounds like a common procedure.
The point is that the technician must recover the laptop using Toshiba Image factory (recovery disk) in order to set the camera back to the factory settings.
During the process of recover the drive HARD will be formatted and deleted data.

So very important to backup the data before this procedure!

I think that this information and the details on the recovery media as well as the recovery process are in the user manual. So if you created the recovery disc in the past, you must back up the data before using the recovery disk.

  • Question about product ID records and the screen

Hi, I play a lot of yahoo pool and we must use the record screen programs to ensure that we do not cheat in most leagues here. One proposed condition is that we show our information in our records system. I ask here to learn more about the potential dangers. I noticed that in one sample screenshot, the ID of the product shows. That's my biggest concern. Can you confirm/deny it would be dangerous to put out this info to anyone?

    Hi SeaDogsFan,

Never share your number to identify product with a person who is not a legitimate representative of Microsoft.

Software piracy comes in different forms, some more known than others. Each type of piracy is unique and often requires unique protection methods.

Counterfeiting is a common form of piracy. Others include loading hard drive, Internet piracy and casual copying or softlifting. Casual copying is the sharing of software between people in a way that infringes on the Software EULA. An example of casual copying is if someone were to get a copy of Microsoft Office XP and load it on his PC, share it with another person who took on his PC, then share it with a third person who charged on his PC and so on. This form of piracy is widespread and represents a large part of the economic losses due to piracy. It is this form of piracy, casual copying, that Microsoft is mainly intended to reduce with Product Activation.

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • I bought a real Apple Watch off ebay

is it still covered by the standard 1 year warranty and if so how can I sign up for this? Thank you

    Hello

It is not necessary to save the limited one year warranty, which runs for one year from the date when the watch was initially sold (that is to say to its first owner). The watch will always be covered for any remaining portion of this warranty period.

  • L50-b-24 x satellite overheating (Linux Mint)

    Hello
my new laptop (where I removed Windows and installed Linux Mint) has a big problem of overheating.
The temperature suddenly reached peaks of 70-80 c, even when the pc is idle. Then only I can hear fan spinning.
I tried to change the configuration of grub as well, as suggested:

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = "quiet splash acpi_osi ="Linux"" "

This seems to bring a small improvement: there are less frequent peaks, but they are always there...
    Any suggestion?

    Hello

This device is an i7 with external graphic.
The two components will generate heat when used.

You can check if there is a single process that pic when your temp goes up.
You may disable any background service... ?

As for AMD, you use the source driver full or closed?
In any case, it may be useful test the other (change what you use to another).
Maybe that can reduce the production of heat?

Ultimately, check the version of the kernel.
Kernel is currently at 4.3. Some interesting changes AMD has been implemented since 4.2.
Don't think they are related cooling, but maybe it's worth a try.

  • Toshiba Satellite C55-C1968 isn't anywhere

    Hi all
If this laptop was purchased January 2, 2016 to Dubai to Sharaf DG.

    Here are the specs:
    Intel Core i5-6200U 2.3 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.8 GHz processor (6th generation) / 4 GB RAM / 1 TB HDD / DVD RW / 15.6 "LED / Intel HD Graphics / Windows 10 (x 64).

Now, when I went to register this laptop on the toshibamea.com Web site, or even the global site for Toshiba, I couldn't find this particular model of Satellite C55 - C anywhere.
Its only when I checked the serial number at the back of the laptop that I discovered that somehow Toshiva gave its own number of 'model' and it is PSKWWV-00V00KAR.

The only place on the whole of the internet where this model is is here:

Why is this? It wasn't the only laptop computer purchased, what other customers? When they try to make a record of the product, what are supposed to choose?
And updates of drivers, sound only after see this model naming that toshiba gave internally, I managed to find the updated audio driver.
Why can't toshiba updated this model to include in their series of satellites?

Also, I recorded my laptop using the serial number on the toshibamea.com site, and yet he does not appear in the records of the Toshiba customer service.
I would like my registration to update as soon as possible in your systems.

If anyone has any other questions please post here, so I can provide more information if necessary.
I am downloading from the screenshot I took before recording "confirmed successfully.

  • HP ENVY 15 x 360 PC: lost CarePack

I apologize in advance for not posting in the right advice, I don't know where to go for this.

Thus on 24 August this year, I bought a product Care Pack (HP 1 year PW Pickup back want NB SVC, H370765164order number) on the HP site, but I still receive it by post. I checked with the Office of my apartment to make sure he has not mixed with the other mail, but they could not find. I received a confirmation e-mail and a product record e-mail afterwards, so I know that my payment has gone through and he was apparently shipped. I can provide the emails if required as proof of purchase or something like that.

I guess my question is, is there a way to return my carepack information or maybe a way of searching CarePack serial number so that I can save it to my laptop? Otherwise, if I can't, does mean that my PC is unprotected and I fell $135?

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • HP 355 G2: Camera and Microphone not recognized on laptop HP 355 G2 (JOY62EA #ABU)

I bought this laptop on 13 August 2015, but I managed to fix my Samsung laptop & kept the HP in its unused box as a spare.

I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 before July 29 but before I did I checked the laptop to make sure that everything worked and now I find that the webcam internal or the internal microphone works.

In Device Manager it is not an audio inputs and outputs, nor is there an entry for Imaging devices & YouCam5 says also that there is no webcam connected.

Video controllers & audio game it shows

    AMD High definition Audio Device

    CyberLink WebCam driver virtual

    Realteck Audio Definition High

All three are displayed as smoothly and drivers are shown as being up-to-date.

After trying many fixes, I came to the conclusion that it is a hardware failure, unless anyone knows differently.

If I upgraded to Windows 10 & then send it to repair will be HP accept for repair because I can't turn round before July 29.

P.S. The laptop is in his out-of-the-box factory status not being hit & no added software.

Any suggestion will be welcome, thank you for reading my post.

    @Caravanj

Create your recovery for existing installation media.

If you can get the system to migrate to Windows 10, the "digital license" for Windows 10 will be registered for you by Microsoft.

You can, if you wish, to migrate to Windows 10 and then use the "Back" feature to "undo" migration.  Your digital license is still in 'security' when you are migrating (yet) at a later date.  If you "turn" the computer will return to its original Operating Sytem - no worries for repair.

You can install Windows 10 later with the following caveats:

If the motherboard is replaced, it is likely to be a problem with activation - motherboard is part of Microsoft digital key management.  This does not mean that you can never go back to Windows 10; This means that you need to maybe talk to Microsoft and explain your situation.  At the very least, you may have to go through the "phone activation" - not painful, just painful and a lot of typing.

If you are migrating, and then the 'return' feature hesitate (fail), use your recovery media (as you did) to retrieve the original installation.

    All,

Sony is aware of changing all the file that was made by some owners of F5 to enable saving XAVC 4 K in the camera head. As a matter of policy, Sony may not approve any changes that are not part of an official firmware version. All Sony firmware updates come with quality guarantees that ensure high quality performance. In addition, unauthorized modifications of the product are not covered by and can cancel, Sony product warranty.

I read that to mean that the next version of firmware will block the hack. Personally, I'm fine with that. The F5 already surpasses Sony original specifications for it and if I need 4 internal K, that I would have bought a F55.

  • Photosmart C6380: Blue do not work on on my C6380 photopapers after Win10

Prints OK on plain paper, but on blue photo paper does not work well.  UNO

    Hi @unoe,

This looks like a confusion. I'm trying to help you determine if there is a hardware problem or software.

The paper color or black ink not print recommends replacement of low or empty ink cartridges. Photo black ink must have enough ink to print photos.  The main black cartridge (right) is not used when printing the photos. If the photo black is low, please replace it.

In addition, it is difficult for me to say if printing on plain paper printed correctly, because I do not see the original photo. I see that the photo printed on photo paper is washed out and cannot print in black. The photo printed on ordinary paper looks like print well. Is this correct?

Compare the example of a report for printing quality of step 5: clean the printhead with your printed copy.

    What were the results?

If printing has no default and is printing the photo black cartridge, continue with the steps that I have provided to fix the printer driver on the computer.

If this printing of the defects, the cartridge is empty, defective or the print head is clogged. Clean the printhead manually, as called for in the document

If you have a faulty cartridge or print head, it might be under warranty. To check the warranty on your ink supplies, go to hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies, select your country/region, and then check the information of limited warranty for your supplies.

Printhead replacement games are available from HP customer or authorized service providers assistance.
ATTENTION: Wait until you have a new available print head Assembly before you remove the ink cartridges. Do not leave the ink cartridges out of the printer longer than 30 minutes. Can result in damage to the printer and ink cartridges.
