Reduced quality of .vob and avi files

Hi guys

I need help please.

I'm working on a version of adobe elements 10 on a new macbook pro lion trail.

No problem application installation.

When I import video in vob to dvd or avi format, the quality of the video is extremely reduced, there is no line black white, no breaks, just low quality.

On the low right side, the application tells me it's what we call consistent.

When I play the same video in vlc on a mac or on my pc, the video works fine without any problems and the picture is clear.

I tried the things suggested to support:

1 rendering

2. check the fps are the same, the original video is 25 frames per second

3 tried to use application to convert vob to mp4 at all different levels of quality by using the external program (wondershare converter ultimate for mac video)

Elements looks like an excellent program, closest to the magix I used to run on my pc, but the problem at the moment, it is that the quality is reduced.

Is there a codec problem?

Avi and vob files are not recognized by quicktime.

Please let me know as soon as possible

Thank you

Simon

The preview window is not intended to be used as a judge of the quality of the image. The resolution is normally reduced somewhat because the computer is much more than a simple display when you preview an effect.

There is a life high of qiality for preview or normal (I think that right clciking on the photo or one of the parameters) try the superior quality

Faster computer, video card, and more memory, the better will be the preview even if not rendered.

Also try full-screen preview.

The important thing is the quality of the final product. Is that what this poor too in your case?

  • codecs and .avi files

Hi, I posted a question yesterday on .avi and there was some useful answers. I installed GSpot and it tells me that the video file CODEC is MJPG/Motion JPEG, a digital camera Olympus Pen EPL1, and there is no required CODEC on the audio file. He said then the MJPG CODEC is installed on my computer, then why when I import the file into the first Elements 9, it renders very bad quality?

    Concerning

For the predefined project, you can go to the toolbar at the top of the main editing screen and look at Edit > properties for the project, at least that which was moved in PrE 9.

When CODECS are installed properly in the system, and they are those who pre can use, the program will use with the highest priority for the import. It is usually the last installed. Export/share (MJPEG is rarely used here), we got a drop-down list, which will be available in Advanced and compressor or similar syntax, but the exact location may vary by format, and also all the CODECS aren't available, there still according to the chosen format.

MJPEG, to not more than one of these two. If one has a MJPEG CODEC, installed from utility disk from the camera (could be separate install, with the driver or included it editing software), they should not need to install others, such as the camera mfgr. has optimized the contained, usually with the CODEC used by the control.

As you have the MJPEG CODEC installed, I would look first in the match between the screening of the project and source files. If there is still a gap, then hit Enter to restore the timeline or parts of it, should get a good smooth reading - Redline turns green.

Check for a first report, offset, and then we can move a few steps.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - I'm a big fan of the ONLY installation that the exact CODEC when required and NOT only install CODECS, that can be found. Keep his computer as clean, is it possible, is paramount.

Post edited by: Bill Hunt - added "Edit" in the project properties.

  • DirectShow filters are missing and AVI file will not play on Windows Media Player

AVI file will not play on any player, including Windows Media Player.  Message says that the Directshow filters are missing.  How to install these?

How can I play an AVI on Mac OS 10.9.5 when VLC does not work?

You probably can't. AVI is a container, not a format; Some reviews require a codec that is not available for Mac OS X.

  • The challenge to reduce the size of the PDF file export

Hi, I recently spent from Quark to InDesign and can't find out how to reduce the size of a PDF file export.

The file has about 200 pages with about 300 files EPS, which are about 30-40K each. The file uses less than 10 fonts, all from two families of fonts (Bembo Std and Std universe). When I created a similar to Quark file, the exported PDF file is ~ 5MG. However, when I export the file in InDesign, I created, the PDF file is 10xs more large (~ 50MG). I tried to export using the parameters of quality of printing and smaller file size, but the result was the same. (I think it's because there is no images to be compressed JPG, just files that are already tiny vector).

If you have any suggestions for other settings check, I would be grateful for the help. Overall, other than this issue, I was very happy with InDesign.

    I'm using CS5, v 7.0.4 on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard 10.6.8)

    Thank you

    SH

Oh yeh I thought I covered that - oops left a little.

    http://InDesignSecrets.com/Creating-smaller-PDFs-from-a-vector-dense-book.php

It has a pretty cool thing here by using the flattener to convert vector to raster graphics.

If you need help then just ask.

If it's just for people online, then the vector graphics could be better as raster for online application.

  • Quality H.264, and transcoding problems after update 7.1

From the 11/1, my CC Manager was telling me about updates for After Effects, first and Flash, but every time I tried to update, the update failed. (In the error message it seemed to make a corrupt download. He said to try to download it again, but there is no option to do so.)  I found that the main for all 3 Media Encoder update, so today I downloaded and installed the update of Media Encoder 7.1 of the Adobe Web site, and then CC has been able to complete the update of the applications.  Now, when I use me to render a project from creation to the H.264 format, in general, the quality is terrible, and all files mp4 in the project get returned under a white green.

Is there a way I can uninstill and reinstall just Media Encoder without uninstalling all CC?  I built a large number of predefined values of rendering and stuff in first and AE and I just do not want to have to go through the records of the app and find all this garbage to save.  I'm on Windows 7 Enterprise x 64 with a Quadro 4000.  I tried the only rendering software and it's the same thing.  Export directly from first instead of worked me like a charm.

I solved the problem by downloading and installing the Premiere Pro and After Effects patches from the same place as the Media Encoder update.

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/new.jsp

It seems to work fine now.

  • How to export my animation as a .avi file while keeping a video and audio quality?

Good so I just got this program and I did a small 7 second animation. I want to export to see how it will look, but I don't know what is happening. I currently have Windows 10 and that you want to export to a .avi file so I can import it into a video editing software to use as an intro to my YouTube videos. How can I get it in a single .avi file and make it accessible through the media player from Windows?

I think that export AVI disappeared earlier. You can export a perfect quality QuickTime, but on Windows, which means you need to install QuickTime. You must do this, then you can download MOV file, you get directly on YouTube.

  • the .vob and Movie Maker files

I have the video on a Sony DVD camcorder that I am trying to edit and publish in the form of a DVD. I am running Vista Home Business SP1 but I tried to do this work with XP and Mac too.  The only system that reads the disk, other than the camcorder itself was Mac. My husband he created a disk of files for me to use my HP IX506 with Vista. I used Movie Maker successfully before with the video on my Canon Powershot Digital Elph, but get the files from the DVD to the Sony is reallly flummoxing me.

I see that Media Player can handle a .vob file, but is unable to Movie Maker. Media Player displays all the clips as "chapters" but Movie Maker recognizes only the first clip - even if it's very strange - if I drag toward the back of the timer (for lack of a better name), I can see that the other elements are there.

So where I'm going wrong? Is creating a Mac, a .vob file? How can I get video off the camcorder mini DV Sony (DCR-DVD305)? My IX506 all-in-one with Vista can't handle a mini DVD in the DVD drive. My XP, it's empty.  I connected the camera via USB at the same time, and they think that the drive is empty.  Only the Mac could import the files from the camera.

    ===============================
First... just try to rename one of the. VOB files to
. MPG and see if it will matter in Movie Maker.
If import works... drag the file to the timeline and
Economy/publication it to .wmv or .avi format. Then...
Re - import new video film for editing purposes.

If this does not work... rename the file back to VOB and try
convert the .wmv or .avi file using the following

System restore point before installing new software)

After installing the program GREAT... open...
you will see two small circles at the top left
corner of the screen... check the UPPER circle.

Now... Drag/Drop your. VOB files in the current field.

    Output container... Choose wmv...

Video scale size / no change

    Left, click the Encode button.

Choice: A Simple Profile / OK...

    Wait...

(FWIW... I have better luck with video if I'm not
try to multi-task while a file is being converted)

When the file is converted, you should find it in...
Program Files / eRightSoft / Super / exit.

Or... you can type... CTRL + T.. o open the Save

  • . AVI files play in Windows Media Player, and then begin to stutter.

    Original title:

This only happens when I actually want to sit and watch something. I find mpg and wmv General files stutter in Windows Media Player. But most other files do, especially avi compressed. I use VLC Player and then he given high priority by the Task Manager to at least reduce stuttering. I also play the mpegs via media player as they stutter loads in VLC. But it is the codec relate, this general stuttering is not codec related... read on. It is not the performance. I killed all the processes under the Sun without result. Any ideas? Win 7 32-bit 4 GB ram Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz SP Secutiry Essentials (killed it too much to try to resolve) the video but its almost as if Windows is something in the background, but does not know what that. Same problem on my dekstop operating under Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB of ram and a dual core processor. This machine has a Nvidia 9500GT for video acceleration hardware. However, it does not help for all types of files. I was watching a movie the other day and it was fine for the first hour or two. Then the hard drive on my desk light started going mental, video started stutering bad. I raised the priority of the process media player but it only limited effect. I could see no process or high CPU usage or anything to indicate what the bloody thing. So, what the * is Windows do during these periods? How I can sit there and locked up for an hour or two, so I can watch my bloody video? If it was a dog I would enter the * on it until he learned to sit there and not * do anything while I watched my video.

    Hello

    1. is the specific issue in an .avi file?

2 have you made any changes to the computer, before the show?

To resolve this problem, use the following methods. After completing the steps in each method, check to see if the issue is resolved before you go to the next method. If the problem is resolved by any method, you do not have to use other methods.

    Method 1:

Perform a clean boot and check.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: Once you are done with the boot, follow step 7 of article to reset your computer to normal startup.

    Method 2:

Check the hard disk for errors.

    Check a drive for errors

Important: While performing the check disk on the hard disk, bad sectors are found and if he's trying to repair this area, all available data on the risk of being lost.

    Method 3:

Run a virus scan and make sure.

  • How can I get the best video quality on a DVD from .avi files?

This first effort with elements first 13, I had a company to convert my movies to 50 (8mm) in digital files (.avi).  But the company cannot know how their sequence so I will try to make the DVD 'movies '.  I want to make for parents to use (so they work in most consumer DVD players).

I tried to make Blu - ray movies, but (using M-record) they wouldn't even play in my Blu - ray player.  Then I tried to make AVCHD movies, but 31% of the process, I get a "transcription error."  So I made DVDs with the program, but the quality is (I think) even worse 8mm films they came.  They appear more grainy for me until I discovered the files on the computer.

Question 1: Can I do better?

1a: If that AVCHD would be better, is my problem only to use the right type of disc?

Question 2: Each film PREL only 30 minutes and uses less than 2 GB to the drive.  Assuming that better quality images would use even less than 4.7 GB, is there an easy way to combine two movies PREL?  Making each .avi files has been a challenge...

    -First elements 13

    -DVD - R verbatim discs

    -HP laptop burner

Very well! This is a video of good quality, editable file. However, this is a standard definition video file and it will not produce a good high-def or BluRay video.

That said, when you add the video to your timeline first 13 elements, the program should implement your project according to the specifications of your video. And, When you do, you should be able to easily output a very nice DVD to research.

  • AVI files created from the same quality as the DVD engraved project?

If I have a project and go to 'Share', I can create an AVI file specified as (use for editing in Adobe Premiere Elements).  Is the quality of this the same file that the quality of a DVD created through 'Share' - disc - burn DVDs?  Or another way to put it--if I created an AVI file and then later burned to disk would it be quality that burn the original project to a disc?

    johnf

Thanks for the additional information on your situation.

Although there may be differences in quality, I doubt that you will see quality differences between the content of your timeline from the timeline compared to the burning of a collection of DV AVI to DVD-VIDEO format to DVD disc.

In fact, the case of the intermediary to DV AVI, is the classic way of working with a large project into smaller segments. But I am the mini series before the final project to confirm that this is the case of tests. From what you wrote, you have been there and done that. What is the quality of the videos that you have prepared in this way? If good, you are on the right track.

If you want a better resolution product, such as AVCHD to DVD disc or Blu - ray disc on Blu - ray disc format, you could burn at or considers that the intermediate file a file like AVCHD.mp4 (1920 x 1080 at 30 progressive frames per second). If you've traveled the way DVD AVCHD, you can produce with a regular DVD burner, but he needs a reader Blu - ray which takes supported AVCHD DVD or one of these media players that support the AVCHD DVD. The Blu - ray disc format on Blu - ray disc requires a drive and a Blu - ray burner.

According to the players and its specifications, some create the HD file and put it on a card memory or USB for use in other than the DVD player players.

Major projects that will be appreciated by all.

    Best wishes

  • 660Mo AVI file: how to reduce?

I converted just a 3 min prel file into an AVI file. but it's huge.

Is it possible to reduce it to a usable size?

DV - AVI is a publishing format, Mike. If you want to share the video with your friends, you want to convert into a delivery format.

And which, fortunately, is what Premiere Elements for.

In Premiere Elements, use Get Media / PC and file records to add the file to your project.

Drag your video from the multimedia project to your timeline panel. Do all editing or effects desired. Go to the sharing tab, and then select personal computer.

You will find at least five options for the output of your video. I would recommend either MOV, using the modem cable or WMV preset.

This will produce small files that you can upload to YouTube or post to a web site and share them with your friends.

  • How to combine video and audio in avi file

I acquire my 1394 camera video image and acquire sound of my computer microphone, which is good and done separately.

But I need to combine these two files (audio-> wav, video-> avi) in a single avi file in the run-time, which I play the avi file with the sound with other players, like: windows media player.

Could someone give me some hint please? I asked the support of NEITHER, but they cannot give me a good solution.

I found some companies sold the plugin, but I think that this is not my option.

Try this place.  Download (direct link) was working when I checked.
