Reduction of the print size HP Photosmart C4500 series page

I have a HP Photosmart C4500 series and it is not printing to fit the entire page. The page is reduced in size (from about a third of the page) and some words are cut off. This only happens when I print a Web page. The print preview shows she will be printed to fit the page, but it never does. I use a Macbook Pro and I print wireless. I don't have the CD to reinstall the printer with me. Help?

Thank you!

Hi @afc13,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Photosmart c4500 series prints a page of size reduced on your Mac, and I'm happy to help you!

I recommend the following:

  1. Reset the printing system. OS X Mavericks: reset the printing system.
  2. Verify and repair disk permissions. 12.x disk utility: repair disk permissions.

Let's start with these two steps, and then we'll go from there!

How to resize the print size of an item within my PDF to multiple pages? For example a receipt or another image that can scan in bigger or smaller than my 8.5 x 11 Bill?

    Hello

In the print dialog box, you would get options to resize your document.

Try them and see if that helps.

Once you choose the print option, it would give options to change the size of the page you need.

Please check and see if it suits you or not.

  • You can open a document in Photoshop cs6 and auto open in the print size

I work at 500 photos per day and the print size helps out me. is it possible to open the document in print format to save me a step?

It is possible. That would be called a script of the event and it would be placed where predefined Scripts under Scripts folder in the settings folder.

Then open Photoshop and go to file > Scripts > Scripts event Manager to have this script that is executed whenever you open a file.

The problem is to find a script that is already doing, or ask someone to write it for you.

  • Photosmart 5524 eprint from an iPad - how to manage the print size & culture

Hi, very new to this malarkey eprint, you set printer in place and it is printing fine, but how the final print size is not managed and harvest? I lost a lot of paper and ink trying lots of different things... There must be an easier way?

I have some photos of squares I tried printing... The printer fills them on page a4 but chops the sides off... I recreated the image with white extra borders and it is now very small printing! Arrrrrrrgh!

    Any help would be appreciated!

Hi there, you are using the print application mobile ePrint or solution AirPrint to print from the iPad? If you want to have the ability to customize print settings I advise to use the print application mobile ePrint. Here is the link to the app in iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hp-eprint-home-biz/id299531647?mt=8

Once installed on your device you just open the application, select the photo to print and press the settings icon in the top right which will allow that you select paper sizer and orientation, among other things.

    Best.

  • When printing from the print size internet is too small - HP Photosmart C5280

    I have a HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one printer-scanner-copier.

My pc runs Windows7 Home Premium 6.1

I've been printing pages of the internet ok so far.   I looked at 'Properties', but cannot see where it is a mistake.

I'm not aware that I made no changes to my system.

It prints my documents well, just Web pages or emails are so small that they are hard to read.

    Advice please?

I have it discussed with my colleagues and they noted a framework in the layout of the browsers themselves.

    In IE9:

    1. Click on the Tools icon (it looks like a gear and is under the red x).
    2. Printing of highlight and a submenu will appear.
    3. Select layout on the submenu.
    4. The page Setup window will open.
    5. Make sure the shrink-to-Fit "Enable" is not checked.

    In Firefox:

    1. If the menu bar does not appear, right click on the top of the browser and select "Menu Bar".
    2. Click on file.
    3. Select page layout.
    4. Make sure you adjust Page Width is not checked.

Who should get things to normal.  Let me know what happens.

  • Only on Facebook and Firefox, the left/right margin are defined in 6 inches, is not the print size that is correct, I want to know how to extend this back full page?

This only happens on Facebook while I'm in Firefox, think of a word document where I put the margin by about six inches on each side. The print shows only on about half the page Central. It has nothing to do with the size of the text, it will appear as usual, just more lines to say the same thing. If that sounds confusing, it's OK, because it's confusing to me, questions let me know.
