  Just updated my 7840 lollipop.  Update went smooth (apart from the encryption thing that took forever).  First thing I tried to do is to move an app to sd card, and it fails every time.  The specific message I get is, «could not move not app»  It happens every time.  I have disassembled and reassembled my sd card.  It reformatted.  No luck.  Someone else?

  In addition, a notification keep telling me that an application requires an update to Google Services play, yet when I click on the notification it takes me to the game store and told me there is no update for the Google Services play!

  Ok.  I solved the problem of Google Services to play, but to do this, I had to go into settings-apps and uninstall updates of google services play.  Then I went back in the game store and set to date.

  Download MX Player from the game store.  Then try to play a video again.  This time, only a menu should appear and ask which player you want to use.  MX player or video player.  The options are 'once' (it will give you a choice once again). Or "always."  If you choose 'always' the player you have chosen will run automatically whenever you play a video. Choose mx player (still) to set it as a default.  He may ask you to install a codec from the game store.  Go ahead and do it.  See if it works.

  My cousin recently gave me her 11 place tablet that I need a device to use to type just coursework at the College, as my 17 "MacBook Pro would be too heavy and fragile to carry in the London underground, five times a week. So I reinstalled windows 8 on the Tablet and when it started, the touch screen wouldn't work at all. I can not even find the Synaptics driver for touchscreen Windows and drivers listed on the Dell Web site do not yet work. I have reinstalled Windows many times that I know that Windows 8 contains a form any screen touch generic driver himself.  The screen works when in UEFI configuration of the Tablet, but when Windows starts, it is not. Device Manager does not even recognize the screen as a touch compatible HID and the system menu in the Control Panel indicates no touch input available. Does anyone have an idea where are the drivers for the screen?

  You must load the chipset and/or video drivers to resolve this issue.   Go to support.dell.com and load the page drivers for the product that you have (5130, 7130 and 7140).   Pull down those and install and it should solve the problem.

  I'm done with the same problem after having accidentally reset the Bios of my meeting place 8 Pro 3845 it is "optimized" parameters by default and after a bunch of hours of frustration, I tried a mixture of solutions different people had posted. Because I wanted a clean install anyway, I didn't have the data on the disk.

  Long story short, the venue Pro 3845 8 will not start via microSD, insert the microSD card into a card reader USB and that attaching an OTG cable has worked to get the boot made in this sense. I have used Rufus to create this bootable microSD/USB key, based on a Windows 10 iso home x 86 which I had downloaded through Microsofts MediaCreationTool. The next challenge was the support of the mouse/touchscreen missing when installing Windows. I'm managed by addition of AutoUnattended.xml, the first round with some standard settings disc missed a great time (i.e. Setup was not able to copy the files because he had problems to access the internal disk (MEM).

  I just got a call from a man of Middle Eastern sounding who claimed to be Service of Dell's Support and said that they send me a refund for the services I paid for for over a year!  I said, well, since you are with Dell just send it to my address.  He wanted me to go on my computer to give him the information.  NOPE > NO CIGAR!  I know that this is how it starts.  I said try nice and hung up.  Looked on my phone... was not a complete phone #... just 537.  Anyone else get this call?

• Dell 11 5130 Pro place wake from sleep.

  Tried to solve this problem for weeks looking at various forums. No luck. I had to do a complete Windows from scratch reinstall because Windows refuses to load one day and my effort of recovery Dell USB disk do not have and I couldn't fix it otherwise the operating system. Before that, I don't have the problem of sleep.   Obtained by.  I needed some additional stuff, but here's what I did: (1) using another computer Win 8.1, created a Windows 8.1 USB bootable. (2) plugged a USB keyboard and a USB hub on USB single and then plugged my USB port in the hub (with Tablet detached from its regular keyboard)... (4) restart and press the F12 key start USB (6) go to settings, select keyboard (5) and apply to an update of the plant (the "soft type where he keeps my data).  Then it restarts fine.

  Theoretically I should have been able to hit F12 to the regular keyboard, but it is configured so that it does F12 also hitting the Fn key and for a reason that has never worked.

  Once, I just follwed advice here (en.community.dell.com/.../19534289) and removed the Service Packs, KB2883200 and KB2887595.

  As you initially had the S110 and it only supports the background configuration of the 4 HARD drive backplane I'll assume that it is the bottom of basket you have. If this is the case then the part number for the cable you need is:

  first of all, I bought this tablet January in 2015.

  I found this unit turns off by itself at 22% battery while it helps (about a month) and now it shuts down to 37% and more.

  in order to turn on, I need to plug.  If not, there is no way to run.

  I plugged an external drive with USB OTG cable, the Tablet detects it but says it is empty or use the unknown file system.

  Is it possible to access the data on the formatted exFAT storage?

  Looks like that it is an unknown issue to the guys at Dell. And what's worse, there is no explicit statement of Dell so 7840 supports exFAT or does not work.

  In anyway, if someone else in need. The problem could be solved to some extent by using StickyMount app, but it requires root and fuse-exfat.

  I own a DELL Pro 8 meeting place. After updating drivers, the tablet will not sleep and pressing the power button is no longer in the Tablet 'SLEEP' mode.  SLEEP option is completely missing the Tablet remains on constantly even when not used.

  I've found a workaround.

  I found that disable driver Wirless 5570 Mobile broadband device Windows re-activates the SLEEP feature Manager.  This would indicate that the problem is with the driver 5570 Wireless.  I tried to downgrade to a previous version of this driver, but Mobile broadband will completely stop working.

  I suppose that others have the same problem, if you have not applied the latest updates and a meeting place for Dell Pro 8 with a card 3G it would be a good idea to not update drivers at this time.

  In the end, I updated the Windows operating system files and installed A03.  Could not get A04 or A05 works not at all.

  It is clear that these updates have not been tested on the site of Dell Pro 8.  I highly recommend to avoid updating the driver for the card 3G until an adjustment for the driver of the object is released.

  The reality is that Dell has released a product with a digital pen that does not work properly and use a 3G card that does not work properly.  In general I would avoid Dell Windows tablets in the future, if you do not have to use Windows 8.1 I would recommend that you buy an Apple iPad.
