• CD/DVD drive is not detected.

  For some reason my CD/DVD drive is more functional.  I can't even eject the disc that is in it and it does not recognize.  I have searched for corrections and so far all I've done was to remove the filter lower and upper filters in the registry.  I'll try to uninstall and reinstall this drive, but I can't even find on device manager

  Refresh the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry.

  Warning: The registry contains information on the system that are critical to your computer and applications. Before editing the registry, be sure to make a backup of it. Adobe does not provide support for problems that result from incorrectly modifying the registry. Adobe strongly recommends that you have experience editing system files before you modify the registry. For more information on the Windows Registry Editor, see the Windows documentation or contact Microsoft Technical Support.

  To refresh the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry:

  Important: After you refresh the list of drivers in the Windows registry, you may need to reinstall any other CD or DVD on your computer to write applications. If you restart Windows after this procedure and other burning CD or DVD applications do not recognize the CD or DVD drive, and then reinstall those applications.

  1. Uninstall your Adobe application.
  2. Open the Registry Editor:
     • On Windows 2000 and XP: click Start > run. Type regedit in the box text open, and then click OK.
     • On Windows Vista: Click Start. Type regedit in the search text box, and then press ENTER.
  3. In the left pane of the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class and select the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} key, which appears as a folder.
  4. Select file > export (Windows XP and Vista) or registry > export a file from the registry (Windows 2000).
  5. In the export registry file dialog box, select the branch selected under export range, name the file (for example, CDDVDkey.reg) and click Save to save the file to the desktop.
  6. In the Panel to the right of the registry editor, select the LowerFilters line, and then choose the editing command > delete. Click Yes in the dialog box confirm deleting key.
  7. Select the UpperFilters line, and then choose the editing command > delete. Click Yes in the dialog box confirm deleting key.
  8. Close the registry editor.
  9. Open the Device Manager:
     • On Windows 2000 and XP: click Start > Control Panel. Double-click the system icon, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
     • On Windows Vista: Click Start > Control Panel, double-click System, and then click Device Manager in the task pane.
  10. Click on the symbol more then to CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives.
  11. For each listed DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive, select the icon then choose Action > uninstall.
  12. Restart Windows.
  13. Windows will automatically detect and reinstall your CD-ROM or DVD - ROM drives. You can check that the drives are installed in the device (see step 9) Manager. If the drives are not present, open Device Manager and choose Actions > Scan for hardware changes.
  14. Reinstall your Adobe application.
  15. Restart Windows.

  Important: If this solution doesn't solve the problem with the application you reinstalled, then you must restore the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry.

  To restore the exported CD and DVD drivers list:

  1. Double-click the registry key that you exported.
  2. Close the registry editor.

  3. Restart Windows.

  1. have you installed the latest drivers for the hard disk, mentioned in the previous post?

  I suggest that you connect the hard drive to another computer to check if it is broken.

  Also check in Device Manager for the status of the hard drive.

  Resolved to myself...

  After reading the regedit, remove the upper and lower of information filter file (which, if you have this problem you've read 1000 times now), nothing worked!  I was about to break!

  Then I tripped apone certain information that has saved my DVD player.

  It seems that sometimes deleting upper and lower filter file is not enough.  I read that uninstall all applications 3rd party such as Nero, Roxie, itunes, etc. must be completed so that it works.  I had all three of the above programs.  After you have uninstalled them, deleting files from upper and lower filters in regedit and restart my system as my DVD player has been detected and returned to its place legitimate in Device Manager.  All is now good, burning a movie that I'm writing this...

  Hope this helps someone with this problem.  Believe me I feel your pain.  Two days in a bad mood and talking to myself ha ha.  Good luck to all...

  Hover your mouse over the lower left corner of the office. Click right when the start appears, and then select command prompt (Admin)

  Copy and paste this... to avoid typos... and press ENTER.

  Reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" / f/v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

  Close the command prompt and reboot.

  This may or may not solve your problem... There are several causes that push lately... but it's a good starting point.

  Does anyone know if there is a guide of SCCM 2012 deployment for Adobe CC products?

  I checked this CC guide help | Package from Adobe with SCCM deployment , but it is the old method of package, prefer the SCCM 2012 applications.

  If no guide for SCCM 2012, is it perhaps a list of methods of detection for each adobe application.  (I tried the method of detection of MSI, but it seems that adobe are those wrappers, so do not work.  The only way that I've found so far is to install the application, and search for the appropriate reg key HKLM... Uninstall and use it.  It's a little hassle to go through and install each of them just to get the key "reg" well.  I'll have to do this for all new deployments (cloud creative), I'll be able to use the current system for Creative Suite, so they are not so bad.

  For anyone referring to it later, I get a message "does not meet the minimum requirements" if I use the msi as a method of detection.

  I tested with Photoshop (by installing and accessing the "reg" key) and it solves the problem of "minimum requirements".

  An example of the key "reg" is this for Adobe Web and Design Premium CS6

• MBP: monitor detected but no image except by VGA

  I have a MBP of Mid 2012 running latest El Capitan.

  When I connect to an external monitor, it is detected correctly in views (exact name, resolution, etc.), but the monitor doesn't detect any image from the portable computer. I tried the DVI - D and DisplayPort with various cables and monitors with the same result, but a picture appears if I connect to VGA. It started in the past week.

  The built-in display does not work normally.

  Looks like a hardware failure in the computer DisplayPort connector laptop, as the pins are worn or something?

  When I run the application Time Machine, Time Capsule is not detected. I tried the two WiFi and with cables connected Ethernet (not tried USB yet) and my Time Capsule doesn't have a lightning bolt or firewire ports.

  Open Airport utility & see the airport time capsule. I can see all connected devices, including the MAC, but no prompt activation Time Machine on the Time Capsule.

  I recently used TM on this iMac with a G-Technology drive. It auto detects the time machine and executes a back up. But airport Time Capsule will not.

  Any suggestions?

  Sierra has been problematic with the TC.

  1. make sure you don't have any charge virus protection software. In fact, I would say that disable all software 3rd part at the moment.

  2. make sure that you can actually write to disk of TC.

  Attach the TC disc in the finder and copy a file on disk, you can delete it later... It's just to ensure that you have full write permission. If it does not for the most part, you won't be able to use Time Machine... If you can then try TM immediately...

  Just to be clear, the TC is a network device. You have tested with ethernet and wireless... Ok.. They are only suitable methods. You cannot use USB. And clearly, TC has never had nor will never be ports Firewire or lightning.

  3. no chance that a reset complete TC. This will not delete the files on the hard drive, but you must make sure that the device is configured on the current computer.

  4. There are many positions in these days... read through them and do some research. Sierra is a bleeding edge new... So wait you to spend a lot of the precious liquid if you choose to be an early adopt.

  We understand your current configuration of the network with the Time Capsule (TC). Is the TC the only router on your network? What is the brand and model of the modem Internet you have directly linked it by Ethernet?

  Normally you use a wired connection or wireless between the iMac and the TC? This always was a problem or just started to happen? If she just started, have you changed any software/firmware on the iMac or TC?

• Thunderbolt display is no longer detected

  If I understand correctly, the external display Thunderbolt is not recognized by MacBook Pro.  Looks like you already have a troubleshooting. I recommend you to read this article, it may be able to help solve the problem.
  
  

  Check the connections on your Mac and external screens:

  • If you use an Apple laptop computer, try to connect the AC adapter.
  • Make sure that the power cable from the external display is connected correctly and that your display is enabled.
  • If you are using a Mac Pro (end of 2013), make sure that your screens are plugged into the right ports.
  • If you use a hub of display, Cabinet or "KVM", try to connect the video cable from your screen directly to your Mac instead.
  • Unplug the video cable where it plugs into your Mac, then reconnect to reinsert the connection.
  • If you are using a video card, unplug the video adapter on your Mac, then reconnect to reinsert the connection.
  • If you use multiple video cards to connect your screen (the cards are "chained"), testing connection of the screen by using a single adapter if possible. Some video cards may not be linked together. For example, a mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter may not be connected to an adapter DVI to HDMI.
  • If your screen has more than one video connection, see if you are using another connection on the display works. If possible, check if you use a different view or a different adapter works.
