Maybe you typed the wrong letters. Please take care for O and 0 (zero) or I and l (L big or small I).
In my opinion, you should try again and check these possibilities.

Wireless about 2) :
Well, it's not easy to say why it happens. You can try to update the intel driver wireless. Maybe this solves the strange speed change.

  • With Satellite U400 wireless issue

    Hello guys,.

my laptop is Satellite U400-10n. (Vista OS)
It was working perfectly. But now I can't connect to a wireless network. When I search a wireless network, sometimes nothing comes. I use cisco Network Magic program, but it did not help. I've tried everything. I turned off the Bluetooth device. I have disabled all devices (cell phones). I have a cordless phone; I turned it off as well.
I tried to update the wireless network device, but did not help either.

Please guys I need your help.

For the WLAN configuration you don't need to use additional applications and you can configure it with settings of Windows.
In any case, check all the WLAN settings. Make sure that the WLAN card and your router use the same WLAN, standard, try restarting your router.

Have you tried to connect your laptop to some other WLAN?
Your laptop can detect the other wireless networks?

  • WLAN and LAN on Satellite U500 connectivity issues

I have a Satellite U500 laptop, the problem is that I have never connected to the internet, even if the modem works well in other devices such as mobile.
I'm trying to connect to the internet automatically and manually. It s always saying limited connectivity or local only.
I ve checked the driver for my wireless and LAN cards and everything works correctly. Then I plugged as the hub of LAN or Ethernet cable, sound correctly connect the laptop to the modem, but I checked the free config or a physician any link is in x.

I followed the steps but it s not solved my problem.
I hope someone can give me an advice.

Somehow it seems to me that you have a problem with your router.
Restart your router, and then try again.
I can understand if there is a problem with the WIFI but LAN should work without any problem.

  • Satellite M70 Wireless problem persists

Now, I tested my wireless a few weeks with the latest drivers Intel and I also set on max PSP.
I still sometimes have waiting periods. Especially when there are a lot of load on network bandwidth.

How about other users? Especially users Laurent0001 and Ciyounck?

    Hi Laurent

The same situation on my M40. The WIFI network is OK, but sometimes connection goes down for a short period.

Interesting is that the connection works perfectly with friends Netgear router.
It's very strange, but I assume that the Intel WiFi card is very selective with routers.

  • With Satellite A50 wireless issues

    1. I have WIFI wireless internet, since a week I can net get on the internet, before everything was ok, the internet service provider said the connection with internet is ok,

2 - I try to write DVD (rw) and it doen not work - cd - rw is ok

    Hello

Grant you your post I assume you come in on the connection between the WLan router and the laptop. Am I wrong?
Why you n t reset the WLan router?
In my opinion, this should be a first step.

I recommend then disable WLan encryption and other security settings like filtering on the router WLan Mac address.
Try to establish the connection without this security option. If you're going to succeed then you can enable this step by step.

Are you sure that the drive is capable of burning DVD - RW media?

  • Satellite M70 with Vista - TCtrlIOHook.exe is blocked due to compatibility issues

    Hi guys,.

Hoping I can pick your brain. I have the Satellite M70 and have (I think) installed most of the new drivers for Vista... but when I boot up I get "this program is blocked to compatibility issues" blah blah blah..., then says that he has

    Toshiba utility programs
    Publisher Toshiba
    Location C:\windows\system32\TCtrlIOHook.exe

Can anyone of you tell me please
one) where I can get a driver to solve this,
    (b) stop this message that appears whenever I start

    Thank you

    Kian

    Hello

The TCtrlIOHook.exe belongs to the TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility control.
All this FN keys needs to control the software and TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility is necessary if you want to use the function of the FN keys.

    (A) If you didn t find these utility for Vista on the Toshiba page then it seems that Toshiba don't provide this software for Vista for the M70 laptops.

    (b) If you want to stop the message appearing at the beginning of the boot process, you must remove it from the OS or you will prevent loading software!
This can be done in the registry. You can remove entries from the RACE
    EntVersion entVersion\Run

Here in the forum, you can find 100 or discussions on the wireless LAN using.. Please search for it.

If you can find t the router, disconnect it from the AC/DC adapter for 5 minutes and then plug it in again.

  • Satellite M70: How o use Atheros Wireless Lan Driver?

    Hello
Since I bought my Satellite M70, I had the same problems described by many on the forum and to keep band from b instead of g and the ability of its 54 Mbit connection.

I updated the intel lan driver and I am now using intel Pro/set utility driver.
Last week, I got a message from toshiba for download the latest Atheros driver which is supposed to improve connectivity.

The problem is that to happen once I installed Atheros driver nothing: there is nothing that I can do with the atheros utility, and I can still only go from Intel or Windows to manage the wireless card.

Does anyone have a good idea on how to use the atheros driver?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi, Jean Paul

I never had any message of the Toshiba who advise me to update all drivers.
However, I don't know what your laptop is the WLan card but you can't use an Atheros driver on the Intel WLan card for example.
If the Intel WLan card has been installed on your laptop, you must use the Intel Wlan drivers.
Check in the Device Manager you what Wlan laptop using the card you.

  • Satellite M70 runs for several seconds and then hangs

    Hello

I have a Satellite M70. My problem started several weeks ago with the laptop freezing. Then it blue screened a couple of times. Now when I start it, it runs for a few seconds and then hangs.

I can't do anything because the screen is blank but the LED still show as if it was on. If I leave the phone for a day or two, and then I can start it again and the same thing happens, but if I try to start immeadiately, the screen remains blank.

Any help would be appreciated, I had company look and they said that the LCD screen was tired, but it is not if it lights.
Also, I tried to plug in an external monitor and it's the same thing. PLS help

    Hello

Here in the forum we can only speculate what may be the problem. I don't think anyone can say for sure why this happens. I got BSOD a few times but always after installing some shareware applications. In my case it was clearly software related issue.

It is not easy to say why this is happening to you. You can enter the BIOS settings? Try to start your computer laptop in safe mode, just to see if it works.

  • Installing Win7 on Satellite M70-173 - query of wireless internet

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite M70-173, which I think to be up-to-date with windows 7. However after you run the windows 7 Advisor, he told me to download the driver of the wireless device that is:

    Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection

I put t really know what it is? Is my wireless 'card '?
In any case, I check on the Intel site for the updated drivers for win7, and he says:

    "Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection does not support Microsoft Windows * 7.

Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection is no longer manufactured by Intel, nor Intel provide any future software updates to support new operating systems or improve compatibility with devices and third-party software products. "

Does this mean that I should not install Windows 7?

How can I work around this problem, do need me to upgrade and how much would this cost?
    Thank you

Satellite or Equium M70 is old model of laptop computer designed for Windows XP Home edition, so it is certainly not taken in charge for Win7. It is certainly possible to install Win7 on this laptop, but you will not be able to make it work with all the options that are specific to Toshiba.

Yes it's the wireless card if this card doesn t work for lack of best drivers and the best option for you is to buy the wireless USB dongle. Ask your dealer how local it costs. As far as I know that's not expensive.

  • Satellite Pro A200 wireless issue sometimes disconnects

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A200 with a wireless issue.
I use home wireless. Every now and then while surfing it won't find the page. I try to connect via my VPN connection I have for the office.
If you click Cancel, it will sometimes continue surfing very well but sometimes can not find the page.

I disabled the wireless and connection is used hard and no problem.
It would be desirable to re - install the drivers for the wireless?
I think I've removed the software toshiba Wireless thing (forget his name) when I got it.
    So maybe that's the issue.

    Any help would be apreciated.

    Thank you

Of course, it would be desirable to update the WLan driver in most cases it s WLan compatibility issue between card WiFi and router

I recommend updating the driver WLan and also you can update the BIOS if a new version has been available for your laptop model

    Best regards & good luck

  • Satellite M70 164 - screen freezes and goes black, overheating

    Hello world! :)

Recently my Satellite m70-164 started to freeze after only a few minutes of work. The picture on the screen freezes, and a few seconds later, it becomes completely black.
The computer doesn't even have time to warm up, and it's not stop... It's just the screen that freezes and becomes so black. I have to reset the computer by pressing the power button. (I write from another computer).

I noticed that working time reduced whenever I have reset the computer and after some time it freezes even though I am in the BIOS settings, so I don't think it's an OS problem.
Even if the computer does not have time to warm up, this suggests it might be a heat problem.
So I tried pointing a fan this is low (a big, like the ones we use in the summer), and it works without problem!

With the fan facing these, I reinstalled Windows - so no Virus.
Laptop fan * not * continue to operate as it is overheating.
The fan runs and it is not clogged as I've cleaned.

So if anyone has the same problem, or ideas, please respond!
    (And sorry for my English)
    Thanks in advance! : D

    Hey Buddy,

I agree with you. In this case, even in the BIOS, that it has nothing to do with Windows or a Virus. In this case, it seems to be a hardware malfunction

But before contacting an authorized service provider to diagnose what part is the cause, clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This should be done from time to time (every 4 months) and, therefore, it of not necessary to disassemble the laptop.
