Regular expression to remove space after the tag < a... >?

Hello

I'm relatively new to using regular Expressions, but am in need who will help me find all the tags < a... > with space immediately after this tag and replace it with the exact same tag, but not space after the tag < a... >.

Thus, for example, a regular expression that there is:

< a href = "somelink.html" > Somelink < /a >

as well as:

"< a href =" # "MM_swapImgRestore" onmouseover = "MM_swapImage (' sub-nav_button_professional_portal',", ' images/sub-nav_button_ professional_portal_f2.png', 1 ') "> Somelink < /a >

And just remove the space in the hyperlink.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Find-

\ (.*)\

Replace-

$2

  • Regular expression to remove the space in the HTML tag

    Hi all

    My HTML string is as below.

    I want to remove these spaces of the tag value box with only spaces otherwise leave it as what. Please help to implement the same using regular expressions.

    Hello

    We don't know what you want.  This site seems to be formatting your message in a weird way.

    As the statement

    SELECT «...» "THE DOUBLE;

    without formatting, to show your entry and after the exact output desired friom as, with as little in shape as possible.  It might be useful if you use some character like ~ instead of spaces (just for viewing; we will find a solution that works for spaces).

    To remove the text which consists of spaces and nothing else between the tags, you can say

    REGEXP_REPLACE (str

    , '> +<>

    , '><>

    )

    How is this string generated?  Maybe there is an easier and more effective way to keep the bad wrtings sub off the chain in the first place.

    I tried and I tried but I couldn't crack with a regular expression, so I took the easy way.  The first match found pattern the comma and the other removes the zeros to the right of the rest.  It is not discriminate between numbers and all the rest, though.

  • Regular expression to remove a single carriage return character

    Hi all

    What is the regular expression to remove only one character to return to a text string. I have something like this:

    1

    (two returns)

    2

    and I want to delete only one of the characters turn it over so I'll go

    1
    2 (one after the other

    I know / r but ot deletes all of the text string.

    Thanks a lot for any help

    Try something like:
    (in my message window):
    s = "a" & RETURN & RETURN & "two".
    placed s
    l = [s]
    put re_replace (l, "(?)")<=\r)\r", "g",="">
    Place the [1]
    (exit):
    -"a".

    two ".
    -1
    -"a".
    two ".

    I don't know how effective the situation described above could be for research, but
    You can also try:
    put re_replace (l, "\r\r", "g", RETURN)
    or:
    put re_replace (l, "\r{2"}, "g", RETURN)
    However, these last 2 only work in the situation where there
    exactly 2 returns you want to replace with a single DECLARATION - the first
    replaces any number of multiple returns with one RETURN

    It is possibly more effective than the first - it will replace again
    all multiple with a single; but it will unnecessarily replace one
    RETURN character with one character in RETURN - but I'm not a regular expression
    Expert:
    put re_replace (l, "\r+", "g", RETURN)

  • Why Fm deletes space after the xref in xml files?

    One solution is to put in a non-breaking space, but which could affect a way unwanted line breaks.

    This discussion should be moved to the structured FrameMaker forum.

    According to me, that there is a bug in the management of the RemoveExtraWhiteSpacesOnXMLImport implementation in maker.ini. This setting is designed to condense the sequences of spaces used in documents automatically printed XML to a single space. It seems to remove space after a reference as well. If you have control over the XML you read and that you can avoid these white space (or other situations in which the entry can have additional spaces), the best solution is to set this flag OFF.

    What FM version do you use? I don't remember if this bug has been fixed in FM 2015.

  • Extra white space after the process page

    I'm trying to remove white space after the page is processed.
    Usually it doesn't bother me, but it doesn't bother with javascript.

    Explanation:
    1. I send an xmlhttp request to coldfusion to process.
    2 Coldfusion executes a stored procedure on an oracle database that returns results as XML.
    3 Coldfusion returns XML to the client: < cfoutput > #XmlParse (ajaxXML) # < / cfoutput >.
    4. the client (Javascript) runs the function that manage the data and returns an error because: " xml not at the beginning of the external entity declaration".

    I tried to use with the attribute cfsetting: enablecfoutputonly = "yes", but still the result is the same.

    Any idea or lead in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    If it's really the content of ajaxXML, then the above code and cfcontent should solve the problem.

    As follows:

    #Trim (ajaxXML) #.

  • Can I do regular expressions or Boolean logic in the search?

    Can I do regular expressions or Boolean logic in the search? (Windows + F) Suppose I want to search pdf files or text files. I can go * .txt | * .pdf?

    I searched for about an hour for a simple answer to this and this is the closest, I came, but it still not answering the question.

    Can I use expressions simple boolian in instant search and if yes what are.

    I think that AND and WOULDN'T cover 90% of what I want.

    I want to search for emails for things such as [Minutes AND project x]

    Currently, this property returns all the messeges with minutes and all messages with project x.
    Since I have minutes of many projects, and many emails with project x not the minutes that returns are many.   I would use a simple AND to get the intersection.

    If and expression exist, I have found no reference to it.

    According to me, the back had these expressions in the search function.

  • RoboHelp 7 - lack intermittently space after the bolded text in

    We have converted to a project of 800 + topics RoboHelp 7 and our software updated with the latest new patch 7.01.001. Funky character issues have disappeared, but now, we noticed that we are intermittently missing space after the words in bold. I check the HTML code and this is the encoding is the same for all the words in bold type in a subject, but one word is going to run out of space and all the other words in bold No.

    This applies to topics that have been created in RH7 before the patch as well the subjects that have been converted from RH5 RH6 then RH7. Also, applies to the subjects that were imported initially in RH5 or RH6 of the word.
    The formatting looks like this: "it's < span style =" make-weight: bold; "" > </span > post PARA or DBS.

    Sometimes, I see the end is code </span > < span > < / span > - or - </span > < space >
    I also saw Word < b > < /b >

    Problem is that it is inconsistent and we have more than 800 subjects within our project. To check each heading in the generated version, and then return to Edit will be forever.

    Thank you. I'll try that. In addition, there are a few versions of dll in the last a few bug fixes for RH7 which seemed to have solved the problem.

  • Import XML removes a space after the xref element

    Hello

    FM10 is not patched, WinXP SP3

    I stumbled on a very serious problem that I am unable to replicate, but not solve. When I import XML (custom), no spaces < xref > following is deleted. I don't know if it's exclusive to elements of reference or any element without content... but for sure, it happens with xrefs.

    Here's a zip with the example files with which I am able to reproduce this. The XML file has two < xref > s, separated by 'and '. When you import the XML (using the DTD, the rules and template provided), the space before the "and" is deleted.

    http://www.weststreetconsulting.com/downloads/test.zip

    I disabled all my personal plugins and all DITA plugins I could find, same thing.

    I don't know if anyone has the time to watch it, but I would be very grateful if someone could confirm the problem. This caused a real mess in my source files I can't correct using nonbreaking spaces, but it's really a pain and very suboptimal.

    Thank you

    Russ

    Hi Russ...

    This is a known issue for the DITA files and can also be the cause of the problem that you see. This has been fixed in the latest patch, as long as you use a client of import and export which was rebuilt with latest libraries FDK. (No doubt if you use the client by default, it should "work" once you install the update.) I posted this to the framemaker-dita some time ago Yahoo Group...

    ----------------------

    If you use a FM10 DITA (with DITA-FMx or not), you may have noticed that after conrefs inline spaces are missing. Apparently the FM10 introduced certain areas of standardization, which was a little too aggressive.

    This can be corrected in a future update, but until you can fix it by doing the following change to the maker.ini file. In the Preferences section, you can change that...

    RemoveExtraWhiteSpacesOnXMLImport = we

    for this...

    RemoveExtraWhiteSpacesOnXMLImport = Off

    And all is right with the world once more.

    ---------------------

    I hope this will fix your problems... but I would install the update anyway, since it solves a number of other bugs.

    See you soon,.

    I need do the following:

    "" Search for all URLS that contain" http://www.mycompany.com/dept/catalogs/ ' and remove whatever happened... / catalogs / '.

    Basically I have 3000 + links that start with " http://www.mycompany.com/dept/catalogs/" and I need to strip it of everything what they have after the part of the URL .../catalogs/.

    Anyone know of an automatic way to achieve this?

    Thanks in advance!

    In what programming environment you doing this?

    In find/replace DW?

    If so, then try this carefully on a test page, because I have not tested:

    To find:

    http:///\/www\.mycompany\.com\/dept\/catalogs\/[^\"]*\".

    Replace with:

    http://www.mycompany.com/Dept/catalogs/ ".

    If you need it in another environment, let us know.

  • Outlook express missing current emails after the compression

    After checking my emails this morning, Outlook express asked me to compress the files. I did it and now I can't see all my Inbox emails that have come since March 23 to today (May 26).  all my messages are there, and all my emails before March 23 are there... but nothing of all the most recent. How can I restore these?

    Just to add to the comments of Bruce.  The first thing to do is to check the Recycle Bin for the bak files are backups of dbx files you want to restore, as appropriate.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 don't restore the file with the same name, but give it a different name, so it does not replace what is already existing.

    If there is no file bak or bak files do not contain messages, so your only chance of recovery is my DBXpress program (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/).  While it will pull messages from dbx files, its likely that your Inbox contains more messages which have been lost (the space they were in fills with zeros very often), so you should probably run the extraction of the disk set.  This will bypass the file system and to analyze all the clusters on the drive, and if the messages still exist on the disk, it will recover them.  Its the only program which has this ability and at this stage, its likely, the only thing that will retrieve messages.

    In the future, make sure that you back up your messages frequently, as happens all the time.

  • How to remove only after the passage of the Tween is finished

    I want last removeChild (dropBall1); statement, in this script to be executed only after the move from Tween is completed. How do I do that? right now it is, it is removed immediately.

    function onClick10f1 (e: MouseEvent) {}

    addChild (dropBall1)

    removeChild (bigBall1)

    dropBall1.x = 356.10.

    dropBall1.y = 28;

    var bigBDrop1: Tween = new Tween (dropBall1, "y", Regular.easeIn, 28, 156, 1, true);

    removeChild (dropBall1);

    do not take local interpolation function.  they are likely to be gc had completion and import the tweenevent:

    var bigBDrop1: Tween

    function onClick10f1 (e: MouseEvent) {}

    addChild (dropBall1)

    removeChild (bigBall1)

    dropBall1.x = 356.10.

    dropBall1.y = 28;

    bigBDrop1 = new Tween (dropBall1, "y", Regular.easeIn, 28, 156, 1, true);

    bigBDrop1.addEventListener ( fl.transitions.TweenEvent.MOTION_FINISH , tweenFinishF);

    }

    function tweenFinishF(e:TweenEvent):void {}

    removeChild (dropBall1);

  • some omitted spaces after the conversion of x 5

    I recently converted my 5 x aid project to version 7. After the conversion, some, not all, display of words merged compiled help, but does appear like that in Design view or when previewing in the topic. Normally, it happens after a word that is bold, or a hyperlink. When I look at the html code, it seems to be formatted correctly, in the following example, only the words Option display in bold management:

    Design/Preview menu screen - management Option
    HTML - < span style = "' make-weight: bold;" > </span > management option menu "
    Compiled help - Option Managementmenu

    The only way to add space is to insert a space before the/span tag. Of course, in the case of hyperlinks, it extends the hyperlink in space. It occurs sporadically throughout the project, and it will take me forever to try to capture all these occurrences. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? It also seems to be the case sometimes when I copy and paste from Word.

    Thank you very much for your help - Janet

    Yes, I always had the same results after you apply two patches. However, I installed version 8, and who took care of the problem. Thanks for the idea!
