Reinstall Suite CS4 - licensing issue?

Just a quick question I just want to be sure.  Will be upgrading to Windows 7 XP user and they currently have the Adobe Suite to create 4 on XP.  I have to uninstall the suite and save the license before moving on to Windows 7?

Basically what it amounts to saying that can't do a direct upgrade from XP to 7 and will need to reinstall CS4 and reuse the license, this causes a problem or do I need to uninstall it from XP and recover the license?

Disable and uninstall, in that order
