  Recovery discs often have problems reinstalling the operating system if the new HARD drive is lower than installed when they were initially created.

  Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the activation code on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

  I checked the specifications of the laptop and this laptop model was offered with Vista preinstalled and DVD recovery Windows XP Home edition. In General original recovery image can be installed with the recovery disk. You got laptop with Vista pre-installed (without the Vista recovery disk) allowing you to create the Vista recovery disk using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

My guy tech at work gave me a Vista disc to install and we went online and donwloaded the drivers for my computer. Vista will start to install, and then will ask for the drivers.   For me, it looks like a malfunction of the HARD drive and so the BIOS can not find a bootable device and goes to the last possible bootable option which is LAN.

  The exclamation mark in front of the HARD drive indicates that there is a problem with the HARD drive so I think you need to replace the HARD drive and you need to reinstall the system.

  If it s just a system problem, the installation of the new Windows operating system should help you to get it resolved.
