Reinstall Win 7 pro 64

Current installation has problems. You want to use the upgrade to the same version to replace the damaged files. Need to maintain the files and programs. Have recorded an image on an external drive and created an ERD. How should I proceed? Can't find the original installation file I bought or documentation of the purchase. Upgraded to Win 7 Home Win 7 Pro 64 and SP1 using Express upgrade. Thank you

Thank you, Andre. I'm ready to buy the retail version of Windows 7 pro 64 update, choose upgrade non-personalized. This facility will repair and my programs and files will be spared?

Yes, if you use the upgraded version of Windows 7 Professional with SP1 64-bit, it will work for the upgrade of the repair.

Just checking. You gave me a lot of things to consider. :-) P.S. I can't use the saved image because it contains the damaged operating system.

Please note that Windows 7 Release Candidate is a preliminary version of Windows and should not have has been used as a release candidate.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

    Hello

    I think only 2 possibilities:
    1. the USB driver is missing on the download page. Then, you should contact Toshiba service.
    2. I found a Quick Fix Engineering Q822603 for USB drivers. Maybe by installing this will help.

    I'm sorry that I don't have a better idea.

    Hello

Sounds like a problem of screen resolution. If you use an LCD...

    • Click with the right button on a part empty your desktop, and then click Properties
    • Click on the settings tab
    • Move the resolution slider all the way to the right
    • It should choose the resolution of your monitor (if you have installed all the drivers)
    • Click OK

If you are using an old style CRT monitor, try resolution 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024.

  • I have a dell latitude 610 laptop that I had to wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows xp pro and it does not have all the internet apps

When I reinstalled win xp pro it didn't install any help net drivers that I can't get on internet

If you cannot access to the use of the internet, another computer and save the driver on a CD/DVD/card reader.

    Download network drivers for Internet

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model if they have drivers for your version of Windows. Download the driver and then follow the instructions to install.

    Hello:

You will need to dial the phone number of Professional PC HP support and ordering a set of W7 recovery disks.

I got the number for the USA/Canada... 1-800-334-5144

Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer service rep.

Here is a directory of old 6 year by country business PC phone support if you don't live in the USA/Canada.

    http://h50146.www5.HP.com/lib/doc/manual/desktop/business_desktops/6005us_332630_007.PDF

Maybe some of the numbers are still valid.

Error message @ boot Win 7 Pro "there was a problem starting C:\programdata\ofpviaowu.dat - the specified module could not be found."

This error message appears whenever I have start my computer and windows starts (Firefox doesn't start up). 15.01 Firefox work properly otherwise.

This started after I installed the 15.0.1 patch.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but the problem remains. Search Google for "ofpviaowu.dat" came with "2012-08-29 Firefox version 15 startup Crash Report" as the only listing.

    Is this a Firefox problem?

My system has this file: C:\ProgramData\Mozilla\logs\. I don't think that Firefox or update service should write directly to the root of C:\ProgramData\. It could be a configuration error, or it could be completely different.

You may be able to remove your boot sequence problem .dat file using Microsoft Autoruns utility: Autoruns for Windows. If you find an entry, can describe you it?

  • error 0xc004e003 during activation of Win 7 Pro on Portege R930 - 17 L

    Toshiba Portege R930 - 17L
    S/N: 5D016093H
(If I search on Toshiba after SN I only find in Toshiba - Ukraine)

Bought at the shop online "Sigmanet" in Romania.

It has a sticker on the back w / Windows 8 Pro (small sticker without product key).
He arrived with the installation of Windows 8 CD.
Now, it has been pre-installed Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP1 (this laptop has the right of use of Windows 8 and Windows 7)
Of course, the preinstalled operating system has been slow and gave errors (pre-installed McAfee antivirus, a bunch of small apps, a.s.o.)

    I reinstalled Windows 7 Pro SP1 x 64 (original CD) on a clean partition.
I can't activate it with the following text:
    Product key: XXXXX-YYYYY-ZZZZZ-XXXXX-YYYYY
    Product ID: xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx
    Error code: 0xc004e003

Now, I spoke with the Microsoft Romania, they tried to help me, but they failed.
They told me that the license seems stuck at Toshiba, so they suggested to speak to them (Toshiba) to unlock the license or provide a new product key.

So, I contacted the seller. They passed me at the service of Toshiba authorized in Romania which avoids to help me.

Now I'm stuck. What to do or who to contact. Everything is so blurry...

I appreciate any response you can give me. Thank you!

    > It has a sticker on the back w / Windows 8 Pro (small sticker without product key).
    > Happened with Windows 8 installation CD.
    > Now it was preinstalled Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP1 (this laptop has the right of use of Windows 8 and Windows 7)

Laptop Toshiba computers are preinstalled with Windows systems that are already activated.
The stickers that you will find at the bottom of the units are the serial OEM key and these keys don't work in relation to other different systems. The OEM key belongs to the preinstalled image.

So in case you would use the Toshiba Recovery disk and install Windows system using this disk, the serial key is not necessary.

According to the technical specifications of Toshiba:
http://www.Toshiba.co.il/en/laptops/Portege/r930/Portege-r930-17L/ the laptop has been pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

This means that Win 7 Recovery DVD was not part of the package. Why?
because the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator software has been pre-installed on this laptop. The software allows you to create the recovery DVDs containing Pro Win 7 64-bit system and the image that is activated.

HP Z800 refreshed win 7 pro 64... do not finish the windows updates...

Newly installed OS - everything seems to work fine, except for the shot without end to WIndows update... Verification of updates. Apparently, this affects the update of Windows 10 as well. Someone at - it ideas? I tried all the options via the site help MS. Merci.

    Greetings,

    Please read this.

You can wait patiently (updates will appear later) or there is a problem in the article.

You need to reinstall Windows for the fix. Your PC must be isolated from the network when reinstalling windows. You need to download both updates and install before connecting your PC to the network.

I used the fix of Ed Bott and it works. But I reinstalled Win 7 again. I wasn't going to wait for hours and hours to get the security updates.

You can try to install these updates on the problematic installation of Win 7:

    1. apply the Microsoft patch found here. Disconnect from the network.

    2. install the two updates in offline mode and cross your fingers.

    3. repeat on Windows Update.

    See you soon!
