  What you are trying to download is an update to El Capitan, which requires that El Capitan already installed.

  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba laptop. The last time I tried to stop it, it froze (got as far as the last screen showing 'close', then didn't). While I can access internet Explorer, I can't click on the links that would open a new page (gel once more). Finally I can't yet do a reboot or a full stop. If it's a virus, how can I solve the problem when no anti-virus software is running?
