Reinstall Windows XP Professional & Remove Windows 7

Own, I installed a Windows 7 Professional official. I don't like Windows 7 at all and very unhappy that I never installed or have purchased this product.   I want to take Windows 7 on my computer completely, format and then put my Windows XP Professional as a clean install.

I thought I could do it by inserting my Windows XP Professional CD and it would bring me to the point where I can erase and format the system drive...  But for some reason, the Windows XP Pro CD gives me a screen telling me that I can't install it because of a new version of Windows is already on the computer.  How do I just format my system drive and then reinstall my official copy of Windows XP Professional?

What I need is a format system software to format my HD return empty... any ideas what I can do?  I need to get out this Windows 7! NOW!

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
Click Install now
Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)
Click on drive Options
Select the drive

Click on the button Delete.

Once the disc has been removed, close the window, turn off your computer. Boot from the Windows XP disk again and see it works. If this does not work, try the following:

1. Insert the DVD of Windows 7
2. restart your computer
3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD player, do it.
4. Select your language, click Next.
5. click on "repair your computer".
6. Select the operating system you want to repair.

7. click on the command line

8. at the command prompt, type: FORMAT C: /.

Press enter on your keyboard

Type y for Yes

Press enter

Please wait while the drive is formatted.

Type exit to close the command prompt, and then click farm to shut down the computer.

Try to install XP again.

If the problem persists, you will need to do is pull the HDD, connect it to another computer running XP and format the XP disc, reinstall it and try to boot from the Windows XP CD then.

  • HP 15-AB521TX: reinstalling Windows recovery media will remove the created partitions?

I have a HP 15-AB521TX and as usual with all laptops, it comes with C: drive.

I used a third party partition manager to create more than 3 partitions by deleting the space on the C drive, so now I have C, D (recovery), E, F and G,

But somehow now I want to reinstall windows (using the recovery backup media (flash drive)) and I wanted to know if it will remove all the extra partition I created and delivered to a single drive C? Since I have data on other players, I don't want to do.

    Thank you very much.

    bsguru

Unfortunately, the answer is YES - as the first action of the recovery feature is to reformat the entire disk to match the partition arrangement which was put there at the factory.

So, BEFORE you do this, you must migrate off the partitions and the data you want to keep or restore.

    Good luck

  • How to manually remove windows xp and reinstall windows xp

How can I manually remove my hard drive? I have the reinstallation cd to reinstall windows xp.

Make sure that your computer is completely turned off.

Turn on your computer and quickly put it in your drive before the Windows XP logo appears.

It may take a few seconds for the disc starts to spin, then it should display the following in the screen test:

"Press any key to boot from the CD-ROM...".

Follow the instructions on the screen, let it load all windows file, once it's done it should display an option:

"Press ENTER to set up Windows XP"

After this press F8 to accept the terms, then you must find where you want to install windows, and then it will be

Ask yourself if you want to format the drive. Formatting the drive erases all data on the hard drive, then it will install a new copy of Windows XP

  • Reinstall windows 7 Home premium 64 more Professional 32-bit I

I'm in trouble. Recently, I paid a techie local to reinstall Windows.  I had W7 Home Premium 64-bit installed but it installed W7 32-bit professional.  I am trying to reinstall Home Premium 64bits but the installation process will not work

I get a message saying that the version on the disc is not compatible. He said that I should reboot with the installation disc, but it doesn't work either. The installation process does not start.  Research on the net, it seems perhaps not possible to move from a 32-bit to a 64-bit if it is a different level of Windows. Is there a way to turn it?  If this is not the case, can I initialize the C drive and reinstall W7 Home Premium 64-bit from the installation disc?  Finally Microsoft support say Icould upgrade to W8.1 64-bit. Would this work?

We are sorry for your inconvenience. Earlier you didn't provide us with the error code exact that you met. In any case, the thread of the help you have linked, shows us other methods to create a bootable media. The most useful solution of this thread provides information about manually creating installation media. Have you tried?

Alternatively, you can find some useful resources here to create a bootable USB device. Give it a shot and let us know. Hope this helps,

    1. click on Start, type Disk Cleanup in the box start the search . In the results, click on disk cleanup right-click and select run as administrator option.

  • Remove all and reinstall Windows

    Hello

I've updated my PC Windows 7 to Windows 8 a few months ago and a few minor but annoying problems (in particular, any program sometimes hangs when you open a file selection window, such as open file or save under).

Since I have no problem with my laptop which came with Windows 8 OEM (rather than be updated), I thought I could get all those resolved by using the function "all delete and reinstall Windows.

Could you is it someone please let me know if this is going to do a clean install, as if I had installed Windows on a formatted disk, or if she just wants to reset all the same condition as after the initial upgrade, less user profiles and data?

If I go down this path, by using the migration wizard to save all data on an external drive and it recover after reinstallation there would be a recommended way to go?

    Thank you!

I understand it will remove all the data, but I wonder if Windows is reinstalled as on a formatted hard disk clean, or just reset be based on the existing installation (which can not solve my problems).

It will reinstall Windows 8, but all your personal files and applications, and the settings will be deleted.

It will more than likely solve any problem you may encounter.

  • How can I reinstall Windows Media Center in Windows 8 again after its removal via Add/remove features?

System - Windows 8 with Windows Media center feature added.
NB - no usable restore points are available.
The link which initially allowed me to install WMC in Windows 8 is no longer available for use.

Due to a corruption of the hard drive software, Windows Media Center became unusable with my tv card. It resulted in my duty uninstall by using the Add or remove features in Control Panel. Don't try to reinstall Windows Media Center in the same way by reselection it even once, had no success.

Any suggestions on how to remove WMC and rerun without a clean install of Windows would be greatly appreciated.

I am selling my old laptop HP 6820 s to put the money to another and the main problem is that the original hard disk having bad sectors that prevent me from reinstalling Windows Vista Professional using the recovery disk. I was wondering if I bought a new hard drive of the same size and type, I was able to reinstall Windows Vista Business on it, especially since I still have the original key on the laptop itself.

If the hd meets the specification, you should be able to install using the recovery discs.
