Reinstallation of Windows XP Home Edition (new hard drive) does not start properly, please help
I have a HP Pavilion zd7000 that bad on the hard drive. I bought another and used the reinstallation disc to reinstall Windows Home Edition. Everything seemed to go well, but it starts now to a HP Invent logo black screen that says press F10 to go together to the top and F12 at startup of Lan. Then, a second black screen appears that says press F1 to resume or F10 Setup. I press F1 and Windows loads very well. What can I do to have Windows load immediately without going through this? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you much in advance!
EverWin... IT WORKED! I can't THANK YOU enough! I've been to every site I could find... begging someone to help me. Audit throughout the day (for a week) to see if someone had answered... tried everything! I'm so happy (and tired) I could just cry. I can't believe that you took the time to help me... I appreciate it very much!
God bless you!

I have a T61 with XP on it. The factory hard drive was beginning to show its age, so I got a 500GB WD Black drive for her. I used Acronis True Image to clone the old hard drive to the new. I used my counter top to do the cloning. When I plug the new disk in, the cursor just blinks and it will not start.
I thought that maybe the clone was bad, so I put the new drive hard back at the top of my desk and is able to boot all the way to the windows start screen. If I plug the old drive in the laptop, it starts very well, simply refuses to boot from the new drive.
Guessed it.
Put the new hard drive into the computer, put the old hard drive in a USB enclosure and done a CD boot Acronis, and made the clone of the laptop. Runs like a champ and now flies.

After the new HARD drive does not start installation Qosmio G15
I just got this G15 last week and one of the hard drives was bad. Put it in a new Bay 2 and it does not start. I took it back and it starts fine. I even changed the main hard drive Bay 2 HD and it starts up fine with a hard drive. It's something to do with the scores, I think. Any help appreciated.
Hello
I think that the boot order has been the bad HARD drive in the BIOS.
At the new disk you do not installed any OS, and in my opinion, this is a reason for starting problems.
Simply access the BIOS and change the boot order -
G62: New hard drive does not start after recovery.
I installed a new hard drive after my old a bi dust.
I ran the recovery from the discs of HP.
After formatting the disk and copy files, it won't boot from the disk.
I changed the boot order and tested the drive in the BIOS.
What Miss me?
The new hard drive sometimes requires to prepare first with utility cd from Cyberlink. Download and save the file. Once the download is complete, place a blank cd in your drive and click on the file to create a boot cd. Start with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicates the hard disk is ready. Remove the cd, insert the first disc of recovery and restart the laptop.

It is a unofficial "official licensed copy of Windows 8 OEM." Download this file (you may have to try several times or several times successfully download this file) and burn the ISO image to a DVD. Set the BIOS to use UEFI, enable 'Secure Boot' and disable 'Legacy Support... If these options are present. Boot from that disk and install Windows 8. How do I download Windows xp home edition I hit, but I lost the cd please help me
I have the original key from Windows xp home edition, but I lost the cd how do I download full window xp home edition please help me
If your computer was shipped with pre-installed XP it's called OEM. If you want to re - install in this case you would need a copy of XP OEM. A detail would not work with your OEM key.
You have Googled XP Download House? I found, 5 places immediately the bat.

Satellite M30x - new HARD drive does not work
Hello.
I am installing a new ATA 2.5 "internal hard drive for my Toshiba M30X-166. The drive is a Seagate Momentus 5400.3 120 GB model. The laptop does not recognize the disc and no related error message appears, and in the BIOS, it shows as "HD not available."
I put this drive in an external USB - IDE enclosure and was detected by my desktop PC, and I was able to partition and format the Momentus, so I know the drive is indeed work, but my M30X still does not detect the drive.
What can I do to make the laptop recognize this unit? The BIOS M30X is: Phoenix EAL20 version 1.90.
Thanks for your help.
Hello!
Have you tried another HARD drive? The new HARD drive is may not compatible with the laptop or does work does not correctly.
Normally, a 120 GB HARD drive should work because the laptop has a limitation of LBA 28 bits and so you can only use hard drives 120 GB.
In the worst cases, the HARD disk on the motherboard controller is defective :(Good bye

New hard drive does not appear in the disk utility
I am installing a new hard drive in my late 2011 13 "MacBook Pro. I started using apple's online retrieval system and went to disk utility. I tried to format the drive, but he is stuck saying "remove disc" for about a half hour, and then I had a rotation beach ball and could not move the cursor. I restarted the computer and now the drive does not appear in the disk utility. Any help is appreciated as I have no idea where to go from here.
Thank you.
You will may be turned off and check that your hard drive is correctly positioned with all the screws tight.

Toshiba Q300 480 GB HARD drive does not start after migration
Hello
I bought a disc of Q300 489 GB to replace a small 840EVO of Samsung. I used the toshiba tool to clone the smallest to the largest player. However when the clone is finished and the reboot of the machine the machine hangs just at the start of the process (before starting windows 10). If I go back to my little samsung it starts without a problem.
I tried to treat twice with NTIEcho and also tried with Partition AOMEI tool, all attempts have failed to start on the Q300 drive.
I am just tempted to refer the reader to Ebuyer, getting another Samsung. Maybe Toshiba can tell me how to get the drive working properly?
Regards Sean
PS. can someone direct me to a page where I can raise a ticket of Toshiba, I would be grateful. There seems to be some links broken on the UK site.
Hello.
Do you have an error message when the operating system does not start? Appearing in AOMEI Partition Wizard you have been used during the replacement of the Samsung drive?
After the largest disk cloning, you may need to change the boot settings in the BIOS or to remove the previous Samsung drive to test. -

Satellite M30X-165: new HARD drive does not work
Hi, I want to replace the old hard drive, HITACHI 80 GB in my Satellite M30X 165. I bought SEAGATE Momentus 5400.3 120GB but it seems that it may not be recognized by the BIOS. Anyone know what to do or what types of discs can be used in this notebook? Thanks for help.
Hello
Sometimes a bios update has solved many issues about installing new hardware.
BUT Please note: the Bios has a limitation of size of HARD drive support. Not all sizes are supported. I guess that the 120 GB are too big and therefore you can not use it!
You must switch to a smaller size. Check with a 80 or 100 GB HARD drive

Qosmio G20 - new HARD drive does not work
I have a G20 and try to change one of my hard drives of 60 GB for a new 250 GB (Western Digital WD2500BEVS, SATA-150, 5400 RPM).
First thing I would add is that the hard drive is fully discoverable, formatable, and usable in my desktop... but in my G20s it only detects it in the BIOS but has a status of 'impossible' and my operating system (XP) can't quite see.
Please can someone help?
Hello
You've got a 60 GB and a 250 GB HARD drive in your Qosmio G20.
Is this good? What RAID settings do you use?
You can check the settings in the BIOS and in the user manual, you will find some details about the RAID.If the RAID is defined on the mirror then only the HARD drive would be available and if the first HARD 60 GB disk is then the other HARD disk would also provide ONLY 60 GB even if it s 250GB
