Reinstalled iMac, startup screen frozen

Hello

I bought the iMac to a friend of mine, who is 4 years old at this time. I have reinstalled on the Apple Store and just start the iMac. I configurered the WiFi and then I got on the page 'copy data from this Mac' where I selected the option I didn't want to copy all the data. I clicked on "continue" and the "color wheel" appeared, but nothing happened. 20 minutes have passed since then and I'm still waiting... the wifi does not work? If so, can I disconnect the cable and restart the computer?

Just by pressing the power button does not work... This screen appears each time I press the power button to turn it back on...

Thanks in advance

Already fixed! Restarted it and changed the WiFi...

  • IPhone SE lights not after an appearance at the screen frozen, faded and an attempt to hard reset.

I just took the new smartphone Iphone SE in April 2016. It worked perfectly fine for the months that I had it until last night. I was recording playing me the guitar, when I put the phone down with the camera open for a few seconds. When I went to get the phone upwards, the screen was frozen and colors have been melted. The multicolored lines appeared as well. I tried to close the application by pressing the home button, and when I tried to press the sleep button to access the lock screen, the phone went black. When I went to press the sleep button to access the lock screen, the phone opens the same screen frozen, multicolored as before. I panicked and hard reset the phone. I turn on is no longer the phone. No apple logo appears, as well as logos 'connect to Itunes '. I tried to restore the phone to factory via Itunes, but it was without result.

Surprisingly, when I went to restore the phone, the second time, serial number has changed from a game of numbers and letters invalid "s/o," as if Itunes is no longer permitted to detect it as an iPhone. In addition, the phone is now considered as a completely new system on Itunes, which I don't know is normal.

I made an appointment with the Applestore for tomorrow, but I would like to comment on what someone thinks that this problem could be. I have not tried to Jailbreak the phone somehow, but have the feeling that my phone may have been hacked, or perhaps he is being malicious programs? Maybe it's a motherboard problem or display?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Your phone is not hacked and all the malware only you could catch is malicious cookies in Safari or other browsers that are removed easily by clearing their cache. I suspect you have a hardware problem, nothing more, that should solve the Apple store.

  • My iMac just has frozen and then restarted itself?

    Hello

I just got my iMac freezing screen and then spontaneously stop and get back to work. There was no window of kernel panic or anything. My pointer froze right on the screen, then a few seconds later my iMac restarted itself. I've never had this happen before. Anyone know why? I recently installed 32 GB of RAM - that this has something to do with it?

    Richard

If it works OK, then it just may be a little problem of memory. Don't forget to fix your hard/SSD to be sure there is no data corruption caused by the abnormal termination.

    Hi LotusPink,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these problems with your iMac. I'm sure we can help understand you what is happening, but we might need a little more detail about what exactly you see. What I understand, you're saying that your iMac's freezing at some point during the boot process and no answer or go further. is that correct? If you can describe the exact screen it freezes, as well as all the details (indicators of progress bars progress, messages or guests or spinning, etc.), which can be useful. You can find the following article useful to identify the different screens you see during the boot process:

When starting after a successful boot & use, the PC is stuck on the startup screen that is black with the logo blue & white HP in the middle and "press ESC for the start menu" at the bottom left. I have to perform a hard reset to get a normal startup. Everything works fine. I stop the PC from the start menu. At the next startup the PC hangs at the HP splash screen. A hard reset solves the problem, but the problem occurred on & repeatedly.

  • Laptop freezes on Windows startup screen (start)

Freezes my laptop Envy15-3000 starting up.  It makes only to the Windows startup screen and then icons Microsoft stop moving.  This has happened since Tuesday (8/12).  I ran checks and the memory and hard drive (quick and full) test came back positive - i.e. without problems.  I finally decided to reformat yesterday (8/14).  He gets throughout the process of reformating until he wants to start the system for the "first time" (I guess this will be the last time it restarts in the recovery process) and always freezes on Windows startup screen.  If I try to hard cock off and try any other start up option I can think (Safe Mode, etc.), it says failed to retrieve and asks me to try again, get the details or Save Log.  When I try again, it goes back to freezing.  Therefore, I am now in an endless loop of another attempt of the retrieve to access the windows screen start freezing.

All I want to do is wipe the hard drive and reload everything.  I'm not interested to recover the old data I backed everything up.  I have had no error messages on my sleeve it, memory, tests etc, so I'm at a loss on how to proceed.  Help, please!  Thank you.

PS: I have the original 7 provided with the system recovery/windows DVD player.

    Hello

Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software offerings when you install ImgBurn) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and software that you may need are entering either the No. fullModel. or your notebook product number here.

Thank you for using Windows 8. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue.

Some applications that are installed on your PC could not be pinned at the beginning. But you can still pin them if you want it. On the start screen, open the charm of the search, select the application you want to pin to open his orders and then press or click on PIN to start.
To learn more about customizing the startup screen, refer to the article.

You can use it, but there are compatibility issues that slow apps. Return you it? I see no reason for this, because 2015 versions are just a few weeks and probably will correct these problems.

  • My computer starts and I get the Windows startup screen, then my screen goes black and the computer is frozen I guess. Stopping and restarting do not work.

  • iMac grey screen, no easy fix yet...  Help, please!

    Hello

My iMac froze everything by making his first Time Machine backup.  I force quit the machine (press and hold the power), and when it is restarted, it went straight to the gray screen - no apple, no cursor, nothing.  Every time when the computer reboots, the same phenomenon occurs.

(End of 2011 iMac, most recent el Cap OS)

I did some research and tried all of the recommended steps, but no luck yet

(eg. all the steps for this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7408375),

Inc., resets the security, Recovery Mode, target, MSC Mode and NVRAM Mode.  & also using original OS installation DVD

The current boot drive is a secondary market of SSD.

The iMac has a second bootable hard drive inside (original, but moved to different 'port' (the correct term?))

I have a disk external drive bootable with SSD cloned

and the original OS installation disc.

I use the mouse & keyboard USB.

I'm not able to get the machine at the start of one of the mentioned drives, nor since the installation of the OS DVD.  Or boot disk target.

    Advice for:

    • Get the SSD to start
    • Get the HD to boot
    • Get the DVD of the OS at startup
    • Get the iMac to start as a disk target
    • 2nd question: Time Machine is about 1/3 to do elsewhere.  I have this external hard drive connected to my MB, but when I try to open the backup, get the message "there are no ready application to open the document...". ».
    • How can I access the files in the Time Machine HD?

OR,  Do I have to disassemble the machine at this point?

    • If so, remove the SSD & plug the HD in this port?
    • There is some data on the boot SSD that I would return if possible.
      • Best way to do it?

    Thank you in advance!
