• Screensaver not working only not with the hot corner

  I used to have my screensaver set to start with the upper left corner of my screen using the feature 'hot corner '.

  I understand that when you try to start the screen saver by using Active corners it is not. I would like you to test this behavior then starts in safe mode, and then try another user account on your Mac.

  Start in safe mode

  Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

  1. Start or restart your Mac.
  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

  After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

  To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any key during startup

  How to test with another user account

  You can find out if unexpected behavior is related to the user file or a parameter in trying to reproduce the problem to a different user account. This process includes creating a new user account, connect to it and test for the issue.

  Create a test user account

  1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. Click the users and groups in the System Preferences window.
  3. Click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
  4. Click on the button Add (+) below the list of users.
  5. Choose a type of user in the new pop-up menu.
  6. Give the user a name and first name, account name, and password.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Close the System Preferences window.

  Connect to the test user account

  Log out of your current user account by choosing logout in the Apple menu, and then open a session the new account that you created. If you are prompted to login with your iCloud or Apple ID account when you log in, skip this step.

  If the step is not enough, then you can go to the method 2:

  I suggest you go through the steps and check.

  a. closed Windows Media Player12.

  b. Access Services [table-> system and security-> administration-> Services tools]

  c. find the service named "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"

  d. stop the Service manually.

  e. Locate the "UpnP device host"service. Stop the service and restart it.

  f. run "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" now.

  g. close windows all associated and the Panel. Open Windows Media Player, right click on a playlist and see if the Play option lists the TV. Try to play now.

  Our backups are via RMAN, with the data files, controlfiles and spfile saved to disk, then each day, it is copied off site to a backup server.
  
  My question is around logs archiving and RMAN.
  Our current situation is:
  -We do not save the logs to archive via RMAN. for example: backup of the list of the archivelog all; gives "specification does not match backups in the repository.
  -We set the archive_lag_target so archiving logs is produced every 30 minutes.
  -a cron job running on a remote server runs periodically to synchronize data (rsync server) the directory of archives with a remote control.
  -daily archive logs on the server host are bzip. Purge of these newspapers is scheduled for more than 3 days rman 'window of recovery '.
  
  I'm interested in feedback as to if our strategy around archiving logs is correct or not.
  
  Should we be backup logs archiving via RMAN? Are there potential problems with our approach?
  We just kept our backups in this way the DBA in the past want to see newspapers archived as opposed to it while a backupset.
  
  Curious to know what others are doing.

  Welcome to OTN!

  Archivelogs with RMAN backup is a better option. When the archives are supported by RMAN, RMAN would be aware of the backup items which are required at the time of the recovery archives. You don't have to do it manually.

  On the disk space, you can delete the archives once they were saved by RMAN.

  RMAN > delete any backup archivelog entry;

  This supports the archivelogs and then remove the archives from the disk.

  If you have a dataguard configured, you can set the deletion policy 'applied on Eve', which removes the archives as and when they are applied to the database ensures there by the management of disk space again.

  RMAN > configure archivelog political of deletion to applied pending;

  What problems are you having with the arrow? You go to Tools-> annotate-> arrow and an arrow appears. Then you can drag around the head and tail to make it to the desired location.

  I am using the branching feature in Captivate 5.5.  I use the reading bar control to allow users to navigate through the course.  Each slide is configured with a click box to pause the slide, forcing users to click on the next button on the playback bar to scroll through the course.

  The ramification of the feature cannot be used with the automatic navigation (timed navigation)?  I really hope I'm missing something simple just to allow the connection to work properly.  Currently, the logic of branch is completely ignored I click in the course.

  OK, I've had something similar with previous Smartwatch (MN2), but I had hopes to go with SW2.

  LG Swift L9 is 4.1 (JBean). SW2 is *. B.0.25 (ALREADY updated with the latest, via a soft PC/cable and Sony Update Service).

  So here's how it is:
  -J' managed to pair with me LG9.

  -demand for Smart Connect (on the idle screen) so I install it from the game.

  -by opening Smart Connect on the phone, asking questions about SW2 app, once again - I install it from the game.

  -then what happens, is that I get the white rectangle on a gray background on the screen of smartwatch and SHE.

  -the only thing to recover/restart of the process is to reset the watch, try to pair again, that works, but immediately after, if I'm only smartconnect - I get the white rectangle on a gray background.

  Any ideas? Suggestions?

  My Sony - its advertised to work with 4 + smartphones Android, LG Swift L9 is such a smartphone. If it turns out to be a blocker - I'm going to Pebble (assuming that if he only works with LG L9)- AND WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

  I wanted to stick with Sony, because I am a dev, and Sony seems to provide more structured SDK/API for this product by comparing to other smartwatches (with relatively pleasant store Play integration). But * beep *, know all this im lose confidence... (and patience).

  OK, looks like I solved my problem, then post it here - if someone comes barely similar.

  I took my SW2 to a colleague with another motive than mine (I think it's Samsung Galaxy something SII, also with Android 4 +). Then we paired up, and then, surprisingly - SW2 downloaded a SW update, got the upgrade to this 1.0. * slash 1.0. * version and the work began with his phone. Then we odd he reset the SW2 and paired with my phone - and it worked!

  Was apparently the version of SW2, I had initially was veeeeery old, old enough that didn't connect my LG L9 and old enough that my LG L9 might not even be updated. Once we have passed this point - everyhing works fine (at least for the last 5-6 hours).

  Problem solved then.
