Remote Desktop ceased operation using the enterprise 32-bit edition of Windows 7

Hello

Recently installed and configured Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit on my laptop at home with great praise. Download and install all Windows updates. Currently connected to my home network with a wireless g Linksys router. I use AVG free anti-virus with firewall Windows is activated. I have a static connection to my internet and it set up locally on my machine. Port forwarding is enabled on the console of the router to open port 3389 on my static IP address. I am connected to a private network and you have configured the Windows Firewall to accept incoming connections to the RDP port on the only private networks (Public and domain are blocked by default). My remote desktop worked very well for about a week. No hardware or software changes on the laptop. I tried to connect a work day and the following error 'this computer cannot connect to the remote computer. Try to connect again. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator or the owner of the remote computer. »

Since then, I have the router and modem power to bike. I double checked IP address external and my IP by pulling the gateway, which none have changed. No changes are made to the console of the router either. I ran the command netstat - n and port 3389 is no longer listening. I unlocked all inbound connections in Windows Firewall and disabled antivirus without success (I'm back since changes for security reasons) 3rd party. I am at a loss now to know where to check then. Has anyone else seen a similar question to mine with Windows 7 or any other OS?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi Kyle,.

Try to clear your DNS cache and rebuild the TCP/IP stack by using commands.  Also try disabling IPv6 to see if it will help.

netsh int ip reset c:\tcpiprebuild.log
ipconfig/flushdns

Hope this helps, Kevin

You can use the ZyXEL NBG-419N router in windows xp

    Hello

The real question is to know if your wireless device is compatible which should be it that this router has also B and G
capabilities. Check the Support and the Documentation of ZyXEL. If you think there may be problems (would be unusual)
Check with the manufacturer of your device WiFi support and documentation.

Is this a bug of Windows 7 Desktop connection remote or I do something wrong?

    Hi Rawsome,

Thanks for posting of ' Getting Ready for Windows 7»

Here is an excerpt from a remote help desk and how to make the article can help see the process as it is activated.

To connect to a remote computer that computer must be turned on, it must have a network connection, Remote Desktop must be enabled and you must have access to the network to the remote computer (this could be through the Internet), and you must have permission to connect. For permission to connect, you must be on the list of users.

Have you tried to change the settings of the remote computer?

    1.

Open Desktop connection remote by clicking Start , all programs, Accessoriesand then clicking Remote Desktop connection.

    2.

Before connecting, click Options, and then make the changes you want in the display of local resources, programs, experienceand Advanced tabs.

NoteTo save these settings for future connections, on the general tab, click Save.
    3.

    Click connect.

Please let us know if this helps you or if assistance is needed.

  • Via hangs with masking welcome screen remote desktop connection all but the ORB start

I have 2 computers to Windows 7. 1 a desktop computer and another is a laptop. I want to connect from the laptop to the desktop by using desktop remotely. Now, when I do, I find myself with the image of the Welcome screen that covers everything except for the ORB start. I also see my image of user if I press the Windows key on the keyboard of the laptop.

If I close the Remote Desktop window and reconnect, everything works fine.

What can I do to solve the problem?

My solution was to reformat the computer and install Windows 7 64-bit edition.

  • Remote Desktop sessions fail with the error of data encryption

All my remote desktop sessions attempts fail with an error of bull data encryption *. It seems that half of the world has this error and no one can provide an answer. Before binding you to an answer without value, it is all my clients servers with Windows Server 2003-2011 everything, cannot RDP to any of them.

Most suggested answers a problem of router or server specific problem or suggest disabling large unloading on the network card.  Well, this problem hooked 30 + servers I've tried lately.  I tried with unloading defined on deactivate and activate.  I tried ethernet and wifi.  I tried to do different internet connect, work, home to various customer sites.

In other words, I can no longer use RDP to connect to servers on ANY connection.  It simply doesn't work anymore.

I run Windows 7 32 bit and this couple suddenly some days ago.  Before you start, no virus, no updated drivers... blah blah blah.

The first day, he started, he wouldn't let me RDP via VPN but if I went through the external IP (mapped ports).  Then, it only works if I was on ethernet, not the wireless.  Then he just decided it wouldn't work at all.  Today, that I even tried to get back into the work remotely via RWW and the RDP ActiveX... did not work.  Tried both servers a SBS 2003 to 2008.  Nope.

XP has a ten years more of life.  Win7 has done roughly three years, now it starts to fall apart.

If you can fix this before moving on to Windows 8, and without having to wipe my whole PC, it would be much appreciated.

    Few things:

    (1) when I run the generation of Ant in a remote area, I would have a weblogic Server works... is the reason why I ask... the task of wldeploy only works if there is an active area of weblogic in the local computer. When I run the same version of my windows machine where I have a local instance of weblogic, it works uccessfully.

Whenever you try to deploy any application on WebLogic Domain then the administrator of the server must be running. Because the entries in the deployment go inside the "config.xml" file and the original copy of this file is maintained only by AdminServer. If the server administrator must run for all types of changes in configuration or deployment.

    (2) I am told that the http protocol is not an option in my workplace and I have to use the t3 Protocol only. In this case, based on the below error, is it possible that the connection between my local unix machine and weblogic box remote is Domes? How to test connectivity by using t3? I ping the server on the local unix server and it came back with the answer, but could not telnet on this box or ftp so that the box does not work.

You can check t3 protcol works well or not with the following one line command:

    Java weblogic. Admin-t3 url: / / he3unxd189v01:9100 - username weblogic-password weblogic PING

If you use above omits the ping command on the server, that means either a bad HostName & GOLD Port your N/W is doesnot allow t3 Protocol connections OR it can be a N/W problem.

    Hello

I had a quick glance around my system because I think it has been compromised. Today, I noticed something I never saw before a "Remote Desktop connection" icon in my documents - time created yesterday - at about 20:00 - 08/04 when I was not on the machine and certainly don't remember updated anything.
I went into control panel / system/distance and unchecked boxes related to assistance remotely etc. Is there anyway that anyone can access my machine remotely? or how would I know if they have?  The sudden appearance of this icon and the calendar has caused me some alarm. I deleted it + at the present time, it is in the trash. I did it because it gives an error when I try to save changes to settings that do not allow access.
Someone could give me some advice please on what this could be and how I can assure any remote access to my pc. (Windows XP / wired ethernet via Bt Home Hub connection)  Thank you.
