Remote Desktop Connection Manager v2.2 - "Unable to decrypt the password"

Hello
I have a problem with RDCM. When I log in as an administrator I can access the servers without any problem. Things get complicated when I try to do as a user. Then I get this message:

Impossible to decrypt the password

I want users to connect by using their usernames and passwords, but I also want that they have access to all servers. How can I do?

  • How to access Windows 8 PC on the Internet with remote desktop connection?

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to access Windows 8 PC on the Internet with remote desktop connection?

I'm good with the software and I have used many Microsoft software since the 1980s. So I like Microsoft products, but since they have outsourced their tech support, you can't support quality even if you pay for it. I followed all the instructions in the Windows 8 will help about DRC setting screens, but I can't connect unless I'm on the same home network. Here are the details:

I have a desktop PC with Windows 8 Pro and I have authorized the DRC. I tried two settings in system properties:

    1. Allow connections to this computer remotely.
    2. That allow the connection of computers running Office remotely with authentication NLA.

I also turned on both private and Public Windows Firewall settings > allow an App or feature through Windows Firewall.

I have installation then DRC to my laptop with Windows 8 (standard edition, not the Pro version). I have a DRC using the full name of the computer and other DRC using the static IP address for my ISP Desktop connection.

I use the user account administrator Windows for connections of DRC of the laptop.

I cannot get this to work on the Internet from a location outside my house with another ISP connection. The only way it works if I'm uncomfortable with the laptop using the same network home.

I called Dell tech support and it is always useless and just a more aggravating waste of an hour to talk to their support of technique outsourced in India (who barely even understand English) and then they hang up the phone as it was supposed to be disconnected. I also called Microsoft support and lost more than an hour to speak to their outsourced tech support in the Philippines (and as support of the India, they hang up or 'disconnect' when they cannot answer your question and they go account learn you more about Windows while they do). U.S. tech companies use AMERICANS more for their technical support so their customers can get people who actually care about doing a good job and can actually understand English?

So if someone who knows using Windows 8 for DRC on the Internet has some tips, then it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!!

P.S. If anyone is offended by my comments about the ugly, incompetent, stupid providing "technical support" in India or the Philippines - Nevermind! You go ahead and waste hours of your time talking to some Morón in these countries, who barely understands English and then 'disconnects' the call when they know that you realize that they are clueless and have all the answers.

Take a look at no - IP.com or dyndns.com, and then use your host.domain:3389 of no.-ip/dynDNS or run RelaVNc SErver that is running on port 5900 by default.  Server options allow you to change the port as well if necessary.

Thank you N Syed, but I finally found a site that has responded to my question. Noted above, and it explains where and what file to find mstsc file and place it in the folder of the comm in VAC. However it gave me an error msg: specified file is not found. PAM handed the file system protected to system32 and instead, I created a shortcut on the desktop. and now, I'll check the link above.

Downloading and the ms support link is fine, but they do not explain where the file is located on your computer, it just says that it is loaded in your pc.

Appreciate your attempt anyway. Thank you and I am afraid that this question is closed.

    Hello

I had a similar problem in the past and found that the problem started when I installed Log Me In on the host computer.

Has not solved the problem by removing only, I had to remove the Log Me In graphic card in Device Manager.

Conclusion, the graphics card in Device Manager must have one and only good driver. Re-install the driver can also help if you have only a list.

    Good luck!!

  • Remote Desktop connection abandons the connection permanently

When I connect to my office with Remote Desktop constantly gives up the connection in a few minutes. I have Windows Vista. I heard there were problems with Vista and this program. Someone has the answer on how to fix this? I can connect with my Wired PC without any problem. Thank you!

    Hi Drifter5,

Welcome to Windows Vista answers Forums!

You can try the following steps and check if you can solve the problem.

Here are a few possible causes of connection problems:

The port of remote desktop can be blocked by a firewall.

If you are using Windows Firewall, follow these steps:

    1. open the Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall.

    2. click allow a program through Windows Firewall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Select the Remote Desktop check box.

If you are using another firewall, make sure that the port (usually port 3389) remote desktop is open.

Remote connections might not be enabled on the remote computer. To resolve this problem:

    4. on the remote computer, click the Start button, right-click computerand then click Properties.

    5. in the left pane, click remote settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    6. under Remote Desktop, click allow the connection of computers running any version of remote desktop or allow the connection of computers running with NLA authentication remote desktop.

    7. click on OK.

  • How can I use Remote Desktop connection to connect to my work computer?

    original title: Remote Desktop

I have a computer with XP and Vista Home edition to the Home Office. From time to time, I would like to connect to my system to the home from work. Vista allows me to check a place to 'allow remote desktop', but don't tell me how to connect actually. Any thoughts?

You will need to use a third-party program such as LogMeIn.

  • What I'm missing to allow Remote Desktop connection?

What has changed in Windows 7 that is so complicated to get remote desktop connect to run on remote computers?  I have my wife's computer and my home theater computer, but also a 'home' server I managed with the DRC compression or at least I did.  Since the upgrade to windows 7, the only link of DRC, I can do now is my "home" Server (which is based windows2003 I think).

I've done the basics, I go to properties on my check for distance, computer, the box that says allow remote.  I looked at the firewall level, and he checked as enabled remote assistance.  I went up to build my own port 3389 to rule that it did not help.  I even looked through the services and on each service that is set to manual but not started with the word "remote" in there and started at all, still did not help.

DRC does everything just not in 7 Home premium?

You can run Remote Desktop [DRC] in client mode on any version of Windows 7. If you want to use to access remote Windows 7 PC then you need to run Windows 7 ultimate or professional. Home editions of Windows 7 may not act as a host DRC.

It is the same with Vista Home Edition or XP Home Edition. Nor can serve as hosts for DRC.

Remember that, although Remote Assistance uses the same port in remote desktop, they are completely different programs.

However, try as I might I was unable to connect more.

I tried first in order to run the Windows Firewall with advanced security, then VNC Server nun, then on connection desktop remotely, but it does not work. Sometimes, I get a message that the remote desktop connection was busy. I turned off my PC, but did anyway.

  • Use of material connected to the remote computer during remote desktop connection session?

I use Remote Desktop Connection a lot, and I mean... A lot. In addition to managing workstations without having to leave my desk, I started to run to the House to make use of the desktop computer powerful in the room without having to get up from the couch and laptop.

However, I began to discover that far, I had to connect to the desktop computer to complete a task. An example is the computer that I'm controlling from the living room does not burn a disc. I can go stick a disc in the drive... but for some reason when I'm logged in from the outside, programs can't find the hard drive.

Another thing I just tried... (... and before you think 'kinky'...) Just know that I think 'Security'... lmao), was to see the web cam (Microsoft LifeCam). Unfortunately just like the hard disk, the program says "connect the webcam to the computer.

I guess the reason for this is to integrate the local hardware of controller in the session remotely... but whatever the reason, is there a way for me to operate the hard drive and the webcam to the computer, I'm connected during a session remotely with Remote Desktop Connection?

    Thanks :)

  • Problem with the remote desktop connection.

    Hello

I have two computers on my network.  I'm trying to use the remote desktop connection to connect to each computer.

Computer A allows me to edit or delete the credentials when I uncheck the box always "ask for credentials.  There are two sentences under the user name field.  The second sentence says "To use saved credentials, uncheck the following."

Computer B I cannot edit or remove the credentials.  The checkbox is labeled "allow me to save credentials".  There is no ability to modify or delete credentials.

When A computer using I am able to connect to computer B by using RDC.

When using computer B I am unable to connect to the computer A using DRC.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Remote Desktop connection and file sharing

Hello, I have a technical question about file sharing.

I use a remote desktop connection to connect to the server of the company.  We are currently between the two groups of IT services (last guy retired, he will be missed!) In any case, I need to backup my desktop files locally and have 4 or 5 of these local desktop file files saved as a backup on the server.   I want to just my files desktop back mount easily on the server. And I don't know how / what to ask to do this. I just need to know what to ask.

    I'm having problems:

    1. I don't know how to configure a file to save its content on and through a secure server.

    2. There are two types of files that I am trying to backup my office.  The details are below.

    2. the first type of files are simple files of customer data, PDF files, word files, files is excellent. Thus, some records are filled with the updated forms and these files constantly increasing in number and size of the file.  A simple example of this type would be a Bill.  File grows in size and file number every week because the new files are always being added.

2B. I can't accurately describe the second type of file.  We use a program called TFP - when you open the program you load the specific customer file in a drop-down box.  Whenever you open the customer specific AMTS program saves any changes you made to this file and updates the customer file with a new date and then transfers the file from the client to a file from archive in C: drive. Basically, I want to save this file on the server of the company.

    3. can we make us safe so that data gets only shared a way?  I don't want people on the server to change my desktop files.

Feel free to ask any questions.   Thank you in advance.
