Remote Desktop RV082 VPN encryption error

We have two rv082 routers. One at our main oice and the other in a remote office. Both have the latest firmware installed. They are connected by a VPN tunnel. All our computers have WinXP on them. I often use remote desktop via the VPN from my laptop to my desktop computer at Headquarters with no problems.

Now, I installed Win7 on my two machines and now get an error after a few seconds to a minute after I start a desktop session remotely by VPN. "Due to an error in data encryption, this session will take end." if I try a desktop session remotely when I'm at the main office (not through the VPN), there is no problem. I use the same computers as before. The only thing that has changed is the operating system.

Remote Desktop between computers Windows XP through the VPN still works fine. For now, I have remote desktop on a server Win2003 R2 via the VPN and Office remotely and the server for my machine Win7, which is slow to say the least.

Both computers are connected to the network directly not wireless. I tried to turn off the packages extended on both machines, but that did not help.

This is driving me crazy ideas?

Affecting the interface manual WAN1 1500 bytes only strength this WAN operator interface at that specific MTU rather than to negotiate which automatically.

You asked if there is no consequence for changing this setting and that the answer really depends on what the correct MTU should be for your connection. Forcing this MTU may cause you to fragment packets. You can run a test of your network to help determine what would be the most ideal for your connection.

Open a command prompt on a computer on your local network and get an external address to ping on internet. Run the following command where x.x.x.x is the external IP address.

f-l 1500 x.x.x.x ping

This will send a ping with a packet size of 1500. If that MTU is not correct, you will receive a message that says "packet needs to be fragmented but DF parameter. If the MTU is fine then you will get the result of your standard response. If you get just fragmentation error keep test by running the same command, but reduce the size of the packets until you get normal responses. I hope this helps and you can see that 1500 is the MTU that is perfect for your connection.

  • die remote desktop during the VPN connection

I by office remote access to a server that is connected by the Cisco VPN client to other servers, but when I connect the VPN, the sector of remote desktop, if I have this connection loose and cannot work.

That's what I should do, but when the VPN connects, my remote desktop connection matrix:

    |__|  --> Remote Desktop--> | __ |   --> VPN --> |__|

    I can't VPN to server2 directly, I have to go through Server1, but I can't.

When VPN appears on server1, then all traffic get dug in the client [including the remote desktop session].

  • Problems with the work computer remote desktop connection

I used the remote desktop for VPN connections to work for a few years.  My new employer has a Sonic Wall VPN.  My home PC is running XP.  The work computer is Windows 7.  I activated the remote on this computer connectivity.  I can connect to the VPN with a number.  Remote Desktop detects the computer to work without problems as well.  When I try to signon with my valid credentials, I get a message that my ID or password is invalid.  By using the same credentials locally everything works perfectly.  I tried to connect with my user disconnected and connected in the workplace with no difference in results.  Any thoughts there?

  • Remote Desktop sessions fail with the error of data encryption

All my remote desktop sessions attempts fail with an error of bull data encryption *. It seems that half of the world has this error and no one can provide an answer. Before binding you to an answer without value, it is all my clients servers with Windows Server 2003-2011 everything, cannot RDP to any of them.

Most suggested answers a problem of router or server specific problem or suggest disabling large unloading on the network card.  Well, this problem hooked 30 + servers I've tried lately.  I tried with unloading defined on deactivate and activate.  I tried ethernet and wifi.  I tried to do different internet connect, work, home to various customer sites.

In other words, I can no longer use RDP to connect to servers on ANY connection.  It simply doesn't work anymore.

I run Windows 7 32 bit and this couple suddenly some days ago.  Before you start, no virus, no updated drivers... blah blah blah.

The first day, he started, he wouldn't let me RDP via VPN but if I went through the external IP (mapped ports).  Then, it only works if I was on ethernet, not the wireless.  Then he just decided it wouldn't work at all.  Today, that I even tried to get back into the work remotely via RWW and the RDP ActiveX... did not work.  Tried both servers a SBS 2003 to 2008.  Nope.

XP has a ten years more of life.  Win7 has done roughly three years, now it starts to fall apart.

If you can fix this before moving on to Windows 8, and without having to wipe my whole PC, it would be much appreciated.

  • Remote Desktop connection. An internal error has occurred.

    Hello

The error occurs on a Windows 7 Home computer.

I connect successfully via a Sonic Wall VPN client.

I can ping the IP address of the remote computer.

I run remote desktop (using the IP address of the remote computer) and get the error:

"Remote Desktop connection.  An internal error has occurred. »

He used to work without fault and all of a sudden abandonment of work.

    Please notify.

To resolve this problem, I realized the following:

    Open RDP

Enter the IP address of the remote computer

    Click view the Options

    Click on experience

Uncheck the box to reconnect if the connection is broken

    Click on connect

  • Remote Desktop connection: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit connects to the computer of Windows XP VPN

    Hi all

I am trying to establish remote desktop TO my new laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) on my computer (Windows XP) work via a VPN. The VPN Client connects to my network to work with no problems, but when I try to use the remote desktop connection I get an error message:

Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer to one of the following reasons:

    (1) remote access to the server is not enabled

    (2) the remote computer is disabled

    (3) the remote computer is not available on the network

Make sure that the remote computer is on and connected to the network, and remote access is enabled.

Items 1-3 are working well, so I guess that the problem is caused by another issue?
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thank you

Thanks for your response Al. To answer your qus:
    (1) cisco VPN Client for 64 - bit.

    (2) I don't know how to ping through the VPN tunnel - I don't see this option, anywhere in the Cisco customer (I'm not a professional, just a user)
    (3) Yes. Also, I can connect to the host PC via my old laptop XP (xp) of fine House, just not my new laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium) so the problem must be with my new laptop rather than at the end of the host PC.

After that you connect through the VPN tunnel open a command window, IE. go in Start > run , then type cmdand type ping DRC-hostname or IP-address-DRC ping.

    Examples:

    Ping lou - pc

    ping 192.168.1.25

FWIW, I have a desktop computer home wireless Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit on my LAN that connects fine to a XP Pro SP3 32-bit Wired test machine using [DRC] remote desktop. Now XP Pro SP3 DRC test machine is configured for a static IP address and I have manually configured the network mask, gateway, DNS resolves and made sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled in the properties of the NETWORK Ethernet card on the test computer.

Just for fun, I checked the hashes of file for the file mstsc.exe on the Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit machine and a machine Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit I have and hashes were a bit different as the size of the files. The versions of the files are the same though. I assume that the difference is because we're 64-bit to 32...

Looks like traffic is underway for RDP but there is no response packet

This can result from Neatgear (192.168.1.1), drop the packets. You can have solutions on SAA by tapping the traffic on the inside of the interface on the ASA. Here's what you need to do:

    vpn_nat_inside 10.0.1.0 ip access list allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

NAT (10 vpn_nat_inside list of outdoor outdoor access)

    Global interface (10 Interior)

This pat only vpn traffic entering the pool and will not have effect on anything else.

    Kind regards

I connect to a system windows server 2008 R2 by using remote desktop.  When I try to print on my local printer (HP laserjet 1200 redirected) nothing happens.  I checked the log of events on the server and there is an entry for my attempt to print indicating that a win32 error code 5 has occurred - access denied.  Access to what?  Any ideas how I can fix this problem.

It suggests also I restart the coil fie - no idea how I make cela or is it a Kipper!

  • Remote Desktop error: the system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\ < LANG_NAME > \mstsc.exe.MUI

Came across an interesting problem this morning. After starting my PC from various applications (OutLook 2002, Management Studio of SQL Server 2008, etc.). I was able to connect to a server by using Remote Desktop (RDP, alias). On trying to connect to a second system, I started getting the following error message:

The system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\\mstsc.exe.MUI

Will always be connected to the server, I tried to launch a second instance using RDP, but received the same error message.

I googled the error and found different solutions (the best solution to examine ishttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/164d1e0b-51e6-4201-9dc2-3f4a0ccb14e5), however, none of the solutions seemed to work.

I tried checking the virus/malware, etc, but nothing was found. I tried to re - load the dll and the exe (s), but still not received the error message.

The next solution was to try to see what can be changed on my system (new programs, etc.). I noticed there is an update downloaded to my system (C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log): AutomaticUpdates content success install successful and Restart required for the following update: update for Windows XP (KB969084)... the update is related to remote desktop.

I rebooted the system, still not received the RDP error messages. Is I did a complete "install updates and shut down ', and then restarted my system that started working again.

For the record, here is some information on my system:

    XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.091208 - 2036: Service Pack 3)

    c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe: 6.1.7600.16385

I wanted to just post this in case someone else runs into a similar problem...

    Thank you!

Argue for your limitations and of course they will belong. -Richard Bach, Illusions

I have a machine with the same problem

XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600

I installed the update for Windows XP (KB969084).

It does not, but a reboot is required because the system is running on the old dll

    MSTSC.exe works now

    Thanks for the info!

  • Install RDCman 2.2 the use Remote Desktop on windows server 2003 fails with the error: incompatible version of c:\windows\system32\mstscax.dll

2.2 RDCman install remote desktop on windows 2003 server util fails with the error: incompatible version of c:\windows\system32\mstscax.dll

    CAN ANYONE HELP?

    Hi Mordi26:

This could be because windows server 2003 is not updated with the latest version of the Terminal Server client. With terminal services client 6.0 update... It should solve the problem. Here is the link to download:

  • Remote Desktop 6.0 error - try remotely on a Windows 7 computer from an XP machine

I have a XP machine and a Windows 7 computer, we are trying to remote into the XP machine. The two machines are connected to our network, but only the Win 7 machine is located in our area. When you try to distance in the Win 7 machine form the XP with Remote Desktop 6.0, I get the error message 0 x 80090330. I checked with my network admin identifiers are correct and still does not connect.

The XP machine is currently under service pack 2. Can we do anything without having to update the service pack?
