Remote Web Workplace - VBScript: Remote Desktop disconnected

Using Small Business Server 2003 (SBS 2003 SP1 Premium).  The Remote Web Workplace Remote Desktop connection has worked for years.  We apply Microsoft Updates to the server last week and since that time, we get a message telling VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected - the client could not connect to the remote computer.

We have verified that no other changes were made in the environment since the last time that this feature was working.  We looked on the web and on the Microsoft site, and none of the usual causes of this question seems to apply.  Other features SBS seems to operate normally.

We are looking for additional troubleshooting steps, we can take.

Thank you.

    Hello

I have 4 servers connected to the DMZ, all currently running Windows Server 2012, one of them is a domain controller, and one for the web application (GIS)

The problem is that when I connect to a server called (GEO) to DMZ then internet and remote desktop to become stable and disconnected.

I formatted this server several times and the problem still exists.

    What could cause this problem?

    Sorry for the bad language.

  • Remote Desktop disconnected. The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to connect to the computer again.

I understand there is a patch to 'fix' it, but I don't know how to access.  Can anyone help?   Thank you.

Here is an article on this problem with a proposed solution - although it seems a bit risky.  I would create a point system restore and backup of the registry before trying. http://kjctech.net/2009/06/12/the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error/.  The same answer is given by Microsoft here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=187614.

Here is an another artidle which includes essentially the same correction (although I didn't check closely to see if they were the same): http://www.techbuzz.in/how-to-fix-the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error-in-the-licensing-protocol-in-windows-vista.php.

The thing is, I can't find a clear answer, if this applies between two ordinary computers or between a server and a computer.  I hope that the solution works in both cases.  If this isn't the case, you can still use the system restore to go back to the old situation and we can try to find another solution.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

    Good luck!

  • Remote Desktop disconnect

I access server 2012 windows of my Windows 7, through remote desktop. I have a screen extended to my office and the problem is when I try to use the extended screen. While working on it and then go back to the main screen, the remote session on the server fell. If I stay on the main screen, the session remains active. by that, I mean not even working on it, just the last place I clicked being the main screen.  to be clear, is not to do with access to a secondary screen on the server. The server has only a single screen. 2 screens are on my desk that I work on all day.

    has anyone seen this?

  • Connection problems with remote desktop connection

Good somehow I try to connect to my remote friends computer and it has a windows 7 and I already configured on his computer. I already forwarded Ports on his computer, his static IP, added exception to the firewall, including Norton Internet Security Firewall 2013, so his remote desktop connection is good. But my computer is a Windows Vista Home Premium, but somehow, it wont let me connect it keeps telling in a dialog box with this error:

    Say this 'Remote Desktop disconnected"
"Try to connect again. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator or the owner of the remote computer.

But it's is not my friends computer problem, its my computer, I would have never been able to use Remote Desktop on my computer, I have no idea why. I also configured with my router Embarq EQ 660 - R in the NAT rule SUA Port 3389 with my routers IP. But somewhere in my firewall, it doesn't let me use the same TCP 3389 port, it won't let me enter any number of his strange. Well, I have the screen shot a photo so I'll attach the image so you can see what I mean. But I already have my friends computer sent a static router IP configured on him and on his router port everything worked fine, but the problem is mine, don't let me not the port before my router only if I use the NAT option and entering into the rule of SUA, in which I made with port 3389 , and my default gateway static IP.  I also added an exception to my Windows Firewall and also my Norton Internet Security firewall, 2013 including the application, but still somehow, it does not work. On my router, if I try to put the port range: 3389 to 3389. Added the name of Service like RDP, Type of Service: TCP. Also, I made my public computer static IP a little go. A how's my friends computer it works

Thanks I would really appreciate it

  • Remote Web Workplace and remote printing

At home, I have a laptop Win7 and a new printer HP Officejet Pro 8620.  I use Remote Web Workplace to connect to my Win7 desktop at the office (both are 64-bit).  I installed printer drivers 8620 on the desktop PC.

I connected to the desktop through RWW.  The desktop PC sees my 8620 home printer and says "redirect".  I print a test page and open the printer to "see what is printing", I see the print queue, then print, then went in the window as if it is done.  But she is never actually prints.  My home printer doesn't even look like he gets no data from RWW.

I already had a HP Officejet printer model connected successfully.  And, more recently, used a Lexmark Pro915.  I need to replace the Lexmark.

After trying the 8620 without success, I reconnected it the Lexmark and it works fine.

    Help, please!

  • CSR SSL Cert for remote Web Workplace

T Hey I need to use Remote Web Workplace, which runs on a sub domain

Looking for an answer on how my client can use their position of remote Web Workplace and have their site hosted on BC?

Remote Web Workplace is a feature of Microsoft Windows Small Business Server and Windows Home Server 2011 medium-sized product company, Windows Essential Business Server, that allows existing users to log into a network front face of the small Server Edition-Professional family interface-based.

After logging in to Remote Web Workplace (using their Windows domain user name and password used), a user can access enabled features of the Small Business Server or Essential Business Server, such as Outlook Web App, the viewing of SharePoint pages and (if a machine is running and allows him to) full remote control of client computers connected to the network to the server.

    Off-site access
Remote Web Workplace is a feature of Windows Small Business Server, Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Essential Business Server that allows access to users to facilities when they are offsite such as email, reading/modifying shared calendars and remote controlling a machine as if they are sitting in front of IT.

    Connection options
When you connect to Remote Web Workplace, users can choose their connection speed which then optimizes the characteristics of the connection. The options are: Small Business Network (Intranet), broadband, modem of 56 Kbps and 28 Kbps Modem.

    Means of access
The Remote Web Workplace is a Web application and is accessed through a web browser. To control remote computers, a user is required to install a "ActiveX desktop remote control" in its web browser once and only Internet Explorer is supported.

    Please and thank you!

Short answer (to date) you can not SSL certs on BC... so you can't generate CSR

  • Remote Web Workplace 2011 connected to the remote PC lot

I have a client who is having a strange question about Remote Web Workplace 2011.

It will connect to RWW that herself as usual, but when it connects to the remote computer, I'll call him PC1, it connects to a different machine (PC2).

I have logged on to the SBS server and made sure his remote PCs are configured correctly, she only has permissions for remote access to PC1, all other PCs have been disabled for the remote access.

There were no changes made to the names of PC or anything.

The server is a Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard.

If I have excluded any information please let me know! Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  • Stripped of Remote Desktop Web 2012

I am looking for a lighter version of the Remote Desktop Web site available in r2 Server 2012/2012.

I tried to pull him out so that I have a minimum of just the login page and none of the other sees it as the Web, SharePoint workflow hooks, etc..

All I need is the ability to launch a desktop application remotely when a user connects.

Anyone done this or has been successful at stripping it down?

  • Remote Desktop issues connecting from home to work the computer in Windows XP. Remote Desktop stops responding and eventually disconnects.

Just around the beginning of July (2011) I started to have remote Office questions when connecting from home to work. If I minimize the connection for a while and come back later, it will be often does not. I'll have to hit the close X button several times before, he ends by abruptly disconnects. By the sudden I want to say that I don't get no dialogue usual warning that the session will be disconnected.

Also, sometimes when I connect I get a white screen instead of a connection window.

Anyone know if there was a Windows Update, or anything that can cause problems with RDP.

I used to be able to connect perfectly without any problems.

    Thank you

    Hello

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the public on the TechNet site. Please post your question in the below link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/threads

  • Remote Desktop left the unlocked console session after I disconnect, - BAD!

Often, I connect to my Home PC, Windows XP Pro SP3 running to work.  When I leave the House, the session is locked.

I recently discovered that when I disconnect from a remote desktop session, the computer is left * unlocked * even if I disconnect the session by locking the PC.

I'm fairly certain that it wasn't how things behave initially.  This change with SP3?

Currently, I connect to work with a Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) machine, but there is this problem with my old laptop which ran from XP Pro SP3.

How can I stay locked to disconnect the console session?

END THE SESSION IS NOT AN OPTION.  I have user programs that run in the session that must continue to run. I have need of the session is running, but locked.

    Hello

In my case it was the full client of Teamviewer which is a problem, including a version earlier than 5.1.9385, when I upgraded to this one, the problem disappeared!

Now there's another question that should be checked, if you Live Mesh Beta (which runs on windows XP and not a new one which has no Vista/7), then there are chances that you have activated the Remote Desktop feature, you can find two devices under the 'View' node in the Device Manager named 'Live Mesh curtain Driver' and 'Live Mesh Mirror Driver. You can turn them off, restart and check if the problem persists.

A last suggestion if the above could not solve the problem is to update the drivers of network card in your machine.

    I hope this helps.

  • Remote Desktop connects then disconnects

    Hello

We have a Terminal Server 2008 license. Customers are XP/2003/Vista. We are facing a problem of disconnection intermittent rdp. Remote Desktop connects, disconnects immediately and automatically connects again. Does ina lines, sometimes the connection continues and was it disconencts again.

    Hi VenukaTiku,

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums as it is related to connect to the server. Appropriate in instances of Windows Server.

Please post your question in the Forums of Windows Server.

  • Keeps disconnecting remote desktop

I use remote desktop to 'exploit' my laptop from my desk, when I'm at home.  When I had Windows XP, it worked flawlessly.  Now that I am on Windows 7 Professional (laptop and desktop) is true.

When I run the desktop connection remote desktop it conscientiously connects to the laptop.  I will then use the DRC to work on my laptop.  I use the DRC in full screen.  I can (and often do) go to work on my laptop via RDC on my desk (check personal emails, etc.), and then return to the DRC (and laptop).

Periodically, the DRC becomes inadmissible.  I can move the cursor, but I can't select or click on anything whatsoever.  If I move out of DRC and then again, I get a black screen followed a message box that says that the DRC has lost the connection and attempt to reconnect (1 of 20 tests).  Still, he reconnects on the first try.

Some days it will happen one or two times, but today it happened about 5 times in 2.5 hours.  The disconnection may happen when I use Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer - in other words, I don't see a pattern when that happens, he is simply.

I searched the forums for that, and while others seem to have this problem, no one has a solution that worked for me.  Some responses suggest firewall problems, but because most of the time I can connect and use it, I'm not sure that the firewall is the problem.  In any case, the two computers using the standard Windows Firewall and are on the same network behind the same router.  Both allow the DRC in the firewall.

Under XP I never had this kind of 'random' disconnects.  In Windows 7, I get throughout the day (with enjambements more some days than others).

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

The wireless signal goes directly to another machine, or obtain other machines via a wireless router?

    Have you seen this?

" When I reduce the desktop connection dialog box remote, my screen becomes white. .

Using a password protected screen saver can cause this. Not to reduce Remote Desktop Connection dialog box if you have a screen saver password protected, or not to use a screen saver password protected. »
