  Removal of old live updates.  Mine back in early 2008. When I request its deletion a window appears with a list of data and told me that if I remove the update, it could cause a problem?

  For Windows XP only:

  After each update, Volume Shadow Copy service backup only the updated files.

  So with Vista, it's a differential backup, rather than a full backup files for uninstall
  in Windows XP.

  This safeguard mechanism is used to save disk space.

  So basically, you are unable to manually delete the uninstall it from the computer.

  Virtual memory is used only when your physical memory has been exhausted.  This happens usually either when you have not restarted recently, or when you have too many programs running at the same time.  I suggest you reboot at least once a week and if it continues to happen, a purchase more RAM.

• remove the browser choice update

  I'm having difficulty to remove the 32-bit windows browser choice update 7. After fishing trawl google, I see that I'm supposed to remove KB976002, problem is there is no KB976002 on my pc but I did not update the browser choice. I was to control panel of configuration/programs and features and tried to get here but I see no called the browser choice update and I don't know what its ' number of KB it is. Please note:

  I don't want to turn it off, I don't want to stop the service, I don't want to remove the icon, I don't want to disable the window. I want to completely REMOVE the browser choice update. Thanks for any help.

  It will not remove add & remove programs, that it says it cannot find or open the hotfix package.

  It will not allow updates to repair or replace day & said updater already installed & give up its new facility.

  To solve some problems of the system, with version beta of El Capitan, I recently went in the preferences system for the App Store has chosen not to receive updates of pre-release and then installed the ordinary El Capitan (10.11.2).  It was a week or two ago.  Suddenly today in the App Store under updates, I get a 'Beta 4 OS X Yosemite' update at the top of the list, and I don't see a way to get rid of him.  I tried right-clicking on the name of update, but I get this error message: ""point is not available: the object you requested is not currently available in the store US. "and I tried right click on the button"Download", but which simply offers the option 'continue' or 'Cancel' the download."  Is it possible to remove this unwanted and obsolete update?

  I have the same problem on my Macbook Pro.  The Yosemite Beta 4 introduced December 31 and will not disappear.

  Remove the temporary WU downloads folder: -.

  Stop the automatic updates service

  Click Start, choose run.
  In the run box, type services.msc.
  Click OK.
  Right-click the automatic updates service.
  Click on stop.
  Stopping the service will take a moment.

  Delete the content of the download folder
  Click Start. Choose run.
  In the run box, type %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
  Click OK.
  Open the download folder.
  Delete all the contents of the download folder.
  Close the window.

  Start the automatic updates service
  Click Start. Choose run.
  In the run box, type services.msc.
  Click OK.
  Right-click the automatic updates service.
  Click Start.
  Starting the service will take a moment.

  By removing the contents of the download folder - you have removed the downloaded updates.

  Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

  1. a System Restore to before the updates:

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

  If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

  If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

  Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

  System restore steps according to the info above.

  Also:

  2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

  > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

  I moved from Vista to Windows 7 (downloaded myself).  I am concerned about all the old backup files I have on my computer.  How can I determine what I have and how to remove them.  I did a deletion of hotfix files Backup on my XP, such as recommended by someone in this forum, and it worked.  Should I delete the old files of backup for Vista and Windows 7?

• Removal of unwanted Vista update reminders

  I have Vista with SP2 and I often use the automatic updates, but I put them 'ask me' and then I can decide myself.  There are a few updates, I prefer not to download, but I can't find a way to remove those update notifications from the list.

  Specifically, I work a lot with Adobe products and I don't require Silverlight, but it is constantly remind me that "1 update is available"... it's a little discomfort.

  Is there a way to report updates, that you do not want so they are not displayed in the list more (or up to what a new version comes out?)
