    Hello GIS_Person,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum

Is this a recent installation of Word or this facility has been working properly for a long time? What is the version of Office 2003 or Office 2007 Word? You have recently installed another program that could interfere with the functionality of Word? You could try to save all your Word documents, make sure you have the product key and the available media and then uninstall and then reinstall the program to see if that solves the problem. Have you tried to open documents on another machine and see if you get the same response from the file?

You can also try a system restore to an earlier point, who could return to a time before the problem occurred. I am including the instructions below to access the system restore.

  • MIcrosoft Word document opens, has content, but opens blank page

I am running Word 7 on a Windows Vista-based computer.  I typed a document of 4 pages of search and saved (but not print).  Later, when I "opened", I've got was an empty document.  I tried a lot of things I could think of to fix this, but the best I could do was to open the file in Microsoft Wordpad.  Who produced a document unreadable, but I admit even that was somewhat satisfying!  I gave up after trying a couple of hours.

It was yesterday.  This morning, I tackled the problem once again, but the computer wouldn't boot.  I ran the routine of repair the computer asked me and got a response that the problem was unknown.  However, the computer did start the next time that I tried and it works perfectly except the Word document.

I was hoping that somehow this routine of repair had resolved my problem of empty document, but it does not.  Many of hours of research have been lost.  Anyone have any suggestions for me?  (P.S.  I did a full scan and no problems were detected.  Also, I made dozens or even hundreds of Word documents on this computer and never had any problems no matter what.)

    Hello Bob-O-Link,

If you get a character 'A' then you not select properly. Keep your finger on the "shift" key while pressing the a button.

The characters you see are ASCII characters and the only thing I can think is that somehow, the document has become corrupted. If the document has become corrupted, and that the "repair" option is not fix it, then there is not a lot you can do about it, unfortunately. As you say other documents you have created are very well, so one can only assume that the file is damaged.

You could also post your problem in the Microsoft Office Word http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word forum where you can get more help,

We believe that the run-time error can occur at different times as the corrupted print queue is default and its position in the list of printers. The error is caused by the HP Color LaserJet CM6040 MFP PCL6 print queue, because once we stopped to this printer via the mapping RDP session, the application crashed.

  • I want to hang a PDF to Microsoft word document

PDF document will not print.  What can I do?

You can try to convert the PDF to a DOC file, which can be opeeed in Word: http://www.hellopdf.com/.

You can download OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) that can read and open PDF files (and convert them to other formats) - maybe you can even print PDF files directly by using the program in this sequel that opens PDF files.

PDF files should prnt on your printer as DOC files using the free Adobe Reader software.  There may be a problem with your printer.  You can check the settings and connections and download the latest drivers for it from the manufacturer.  Are you sure you want to print a DOc file on this printer?  Have you tried printing a different PDF file on this printer.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Problems with the missing letters when the combination of Microsoft Word documents

    Hello

I had a problem which I hope someone can help me with.

When I combine several documents (9 total, .doc and .pdf files), some words have letters missing - leaving large voids in the words. It seems that, it seems to happen to positions with the font style "Arial (topics)."

After some research, I realized that others have seen a similar problem and it could be solved in the Adobe PDF printer properties (properties > Preferences > defaults :).) However, after testing a few different settings, nothing seems to be fixing the issue and I will always have the same missing letters in the final document to convert.

I use Adobe Pro XI - I was wondering if there is a update/fixes for this? I'm on version 11.0.07. For some reason, I am unable to update so I can't verify this.

Can someone offer any assistance with this?

    Thank you

This occurs due to the creation of subsets of fonts. Not all letters are available because they may be in subsets of different fonts. Delete the fonts embedded in the pdf file, then re - incorporate fonts.

  • Weird display of a microsoft word document.

    Hello

I try to add a word of editale document in the webcenter project, but when I look at his screen, strange symbols replacing letters. It's the picture of the problem:

    http://S19.PostImage.org/qci9xjc5v/Sans_titre1.PNG

I also have a problem of permission for the file. It is at the Complutense University of MADRID and I use presenter content to display. I develop with JDeveloper.

    Thanks for your help!

No need to excuse - at worst, you will not get your answer as the people watching this forum don't know.

It is a question related to the content Presenter, which is characteristic of the WebCenter portal. But I understand why you thought that it belongs here. Anyway, if you want to use content Presenter, you must be aware of his behavior. Especially to your question, visit this link: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_content_jsfpg.htm#CHDEGCFC and about.

Namely, it says: "Documents that can be rendered in a browser (HTML, flash, PDF, and image)"".

Arrival of PS3 WebCenter Suite (now, WebCenter Portal), one of my questions was why I can't use native documents and make them into WebCenter spaces/applications pages using content Presenter. Since that time I have not seen that this behavior could be changed, so I guess that this scenario is not yet supported.

This that you can do, however, is to use SSXA - see here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e13650/toc.htm - within your WebCenter portal application. All you need to do is Add Site Studio libraries to your project and follow the instructions to create cosmetics.

Another way could use converter Dynamics (URL calling service to convert the document to html format) - If you do not want to change your document on the page, which can be a bit simpler.

Both, SSXA and dynamic converter are characteristic of the UCM, so for them this forum would be correct.

  • What are the best settings for Pages documents look great when opened in Microsoft Word?

I'm a freelance journalist. Pages is often the best tool for my writing work. Some editors want to submit articles directly in their CMS. It's a simple cut and job-last Pages. But most of the editors expect to send me copy as a Microsoft Word document. Pages to Word conversion is trivial, sometimes a little weird exit at the other end. It is a no cost me all work, he probably won't, but I like to be professional and give the copy as clean as possible. Are there guidelines to get the best results when a Pages document is converted to Word format?

TO be professional, I recommend you use Word or at least a clone as LibreOffice Instead of Pages.

Hello. I was printing off my urge to hp of microsoft word 2007 and then today, I'm going to create a new microsoft word document and the printer will not print the entire page. It prints the first two rows, then stops. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and drivers, stopped the coil and it restarted and then restarted the pc. Still nothing. Ideas please

    Hello, @emma2028 - greetings!

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.

Appreciate your efforts of solving problems. They were spot on.

Since you have already reinstalled printer drivers, it looks like a problem with the Microsoft Word application. First of all, try to make a "copy" with the screen touch printer. If the copy comes out of the well, then try to make an impression of some other applications like Adobe reader, Notepad or your Email. If all other printable work properly, then the problem might be with the suite Microsoft Office. I suggest that you reinstall the same.

You can also check the Microsoft forum, which deals with the same issue: http://hp.care/2dakge6

Hope that answers your questions. I'll watch for your reply!

  • is it possible to change the word to the document microsoft word pad

Is there a way to change a word pad to document microsoft word document

Yes. However, methods available depend on what program you have installed.

    For example

If Word is installed: open the document in Word Pad and save to RTF. Open the document saved in Word and re - save in Word format.

  • DeskJet 3510 - printing color word documents

My 3510 newly installed Deskjet prints color on the test pages, but does not print Microsoft Word documents docX Mac in color (just black & white).   I don't see anywhere in the printing options to choose the color.  We have an IMac OS X 10.8.5 and Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 version 14.3.8. Can someone give me advice on how to make this work?  Thank you!!

I just talked to HP and found the solution to my problem.  I'll post the answer here in case someone else is struggling with this too.  The technology suggested I go to the window printing & scanning (in system preferences), then remove the deskjet printer and then add the printer deskjet again.  That fixed my problem and now I can print my document in color.
