  I worked on my new Blackberry for days now.  I like the new message indicator, but it will not shut down after you read the message.  I've enabled for SMS text messages.

  Any suggestions on how to get the light to stop flashing after you read the message?

  Try a 30 second with the phone battery pull, replace the battery and see if it returns to normal.

  It is a common solution on these forums.

  AT & T customer here with a Pearl 8100, I updated the new OS last night and now after I receive a call or a message (including the missed here too) seeing red stays on.  I can power the phone then next turn and led remains off but this just sucks.  Any ideas?

  I found the fix for this.

  uninstall the colorpearl because it does not work with OS 4.5.  Download blingball in place.

  My turn a few weeks back and I love it. Verizon is my service provider. It comes pre-loaded with a link to homepage (Blackberry, bookmarks). When to open the web browser and click it, it opens to VZW today and lists 9 icons. All pretty useless in my opinion. So when I go to the bookmark page, it doesn't let me delete it. Every other bookmark, I gives me the option to delete the. How to nuke this bookmark for good? How can I change my homepage to another site? Thank you.

  I'm not sure that you can get rid of the Verizon bookmark that is there, but you can certainly change the homepage.

  To change the opening of the home page of the browser, press the menu key, then select options, now select browser Configuration.  Once in the browser scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see Start Page and the address of the Home Page.  Change the Start Page of the Home Page and the address of the home page of what you would like it to be; This should take care of it for you.

  You receive a red X when trying to send messages BBM all BB 10 users?

  If you are then try to remove and reinstall BlackBerry Messenger from your device which helped a few users with the same question, to do that on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

  First try a battery pull restarts, if it is still impossible to locate and remember it's not hidden, to check that the screen is in the Panel Home screen ALL > press the Menu key and select "Show all icons" or icon to display "." It will show all of the icons that were previously hidden. If you see BlackBerry Messenger icon like grayed then highlight it and press the Menu key and select the icon to display, also search your folders as the Application of Instant Messaging folder, etc..

  If it is still impossible, then try reinstalling the BBM, but first on your homescreen go to Options > device > application management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  You are able to use BBM before this update without any problem?

  If you are then try reinstalling BBM who may help, do that on your homescreen go to Options > device > application management > delete BlackBerry Messenger in the list.

  If you encounter problems with the BlackBerry world update then try this way:

  Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

  To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.
