  The Mini 5101 is listed as a class notebook business which means security is more stringent that consumption patterns - they do not produce 'stop codes', the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a memory not volatile to remove the cell RTC does not reset the password in this case.

  How to cut the power on password or bios password is easy.

  Remove the battery and power supply.

  Remove the memory cover. "On the merits".

  Remove the memory stick. "If there is."

  Use small flat head screwdriver and make contact with the 2 copper looking contacts.

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I have studied your Compaq Presario V3337TU notebook and not wanting to no sound at the start of the BIOS. Unfortunately if you disable in BIOS your sound will work not on the laptop at all.

  It s a little confused what you describe, because after the BIOS setting password it should not be possible to enter the Windows without knowing the password.

  As far as I know in the HWSetup Toshiba, you can set the password. It s not a Bios password.
  If you want to remove this password, you need this utility.
  You can choose the non registered option, type the old password and then you will receive a message that the password has been deleted.

  I think the HWSetup you find on you tools & utility CD.
  If this is not the case, try to use the System Restore tool to roll back the OS to the beginning.

  You can remove the need for a password as follows.

  Shut down the laptop.  Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the start menu, then select f10 to open the Bios menu.  Use the arrows to select the Security tab and press ENTER.  Use the arrow keys again to select the password option and press ENTER.  Enter the current password and then the new password, simply leave this blank and press on enter - do the same for the confirmation field.  Press f10, select this option to save the new settings and press to enter.
