Remove ask toolbar

I can't get uninstall to remove the ask toolbar - it starts to uninstall & then a window will appear indicating that the chrome browser must be closed.  Make sure that everything is closed and this window just comes up constantly on & on & it will not uninstall.  I wish I could know how to contact the jolts which have developed this and how to make one souvenir for all the harm they cause.  I spent hours reading how to remove it.

  • How to remove "My Toolbar space" - only with Firefox, not with Google

Recently, I loaded again Mozilla Firefox. When I opened it, "Ask" came immediately as the toolbar, and about.com Associates has been designated as my home page. I knew it was bad, so I removed it. It does not appear when I use the Google search engine.

However, the next time and every time after this when I use Mozilla Firefox and it opens, a pop up appears from "My Space Toolbox". It prompts me asking if I want to keep the new homepage or revert to the previous one (probably ask). This is so annoying. It also prompts, asking if I would like to have Google as my default homepage, even though I have specificifically listed Firefox as my default. (Is it from Google?)

    I tried to:

-Remove in my settings options, but there is no place to remove it.
-It will not allow a right click to display a menu to delete.
-It is not in my programs, not in the start menu, or in my program files
-It is not in my control panel Uninstall list
-J' have searched for it, and it does not appear in the search of my documents

How can I remove it? A site on the internet, he claims that it is malware, because it seems to be, and should be removed.

    Help, please.

Hi, please try to work through Remove Ask Toolbar and Ask.com Search by Malware advice. I hope that this will also eliminate My Space.

It is also interesting to look into your PC programs for everything that has been installed on the date on which it began, because he could be part of the malware.

Note that not all programs removal allows to detect all malware, you may need to run multiple or all of them.

After the withdrawal, you need to reset your home page and search, what you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

  • How can I remove the Ask toolbar in Mozella Firefox?

The Ask toolbar is always on the right side of my Mozilla Firefox toolbar. It is built directly into it. Ask does not appear on "Add or Remove Programs" on my control panel. A description of an "application Toolbar Remover" suggests to download 'Ask Toolbar Remover' since the link in 'resources '. I can't find anywhere of 'resources '. Remove Ask from my Mozilla Firefox has become a passion of mine, apparently. I spent hours trying to remove it, without success. Help!

It may be in Add / Remove programs under a different name, but it should always have the logo "Ask."  See http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4

  • How can I remove Ask from my computer?

a greeting card for someone and installed inadvertently ask on my computer... toolbar and etc search engine.
Problems following different instructions using websites

According to what he has changed, there could be many places to watch. I suggest starting here:

Open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the build-up of undisclosed items who snuck with some software that you have agreed to install. Some of them could have no other purpose than to make sure that it is difficult to remove Ask. Out as much garbage as possible here.

Then, in Firefox, open the page of the modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

That should remove the toolbar, but there could be some other settings that you want to restore, as your preferred search engine. To do this, I suggest using the icon on the left end of the integrated Firefox search bar.

If you notice your settings changing between sessions - in other words, when exit you and restart Firefox, she returned to unwanted parameters - check a user.js file as described in this article: How to fix preferences that will not save.

  • Remove bookmarks toolbar icons?

In the old version of Firefox I was using, it was easy to choose from 3 options for the bookmarks toolbar. display icons only, only the display names, display names and icons.

I chose to display names only because it saves space.

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and now it seems impossible to remove bookmarks toolbar icons. (Others have asked about this, but the answers were unnecessary).

I reinstalled an old version of Firefox and still I can't get rid of the icons.

Please help me to get rid of the icons in the bookmarks toolbar!

    Thank you!

    1. Open the modules (Ctrl + Shift + A Manager; Mac: Command + shift + A), then the Extensions category.
    2. Beside the classical restaurant theme, click on the Options button.
    3. On the Home tab, in the upper left corner, choose "Tabs (default Australis) curve", or "Curve tabs (alternative)" or "curve tabs (alternative Aero).

    GrogBlossom wrote:

Also, I'm not sure if I like tabs on very top or not... but cannot find a way to toggle that option. Possible?

In classic options window Restorer theme mentioned above, in the upper left corner of the main tab, choose between ' tabs not on "or"tabs on top (default).

    Suggestions how to remove it?
And why FF load it browsers with malware and other?
If I can't remove. I'll delete FF, period and use something else.

The ask toolbar is usually comes with other software, such as Java, Flash, etc. However, if you read the modules uninstaller, it should help you remove it. You will also, after following the instructions in this article, click Start, the Panel configuration, then programs or features. Uninstall Ask there too.

  • I clicked "Remove from toolbar" when wanting to shoot to the top of what I had downloaded - how to restore DOWNLOAD arrow on the toolbar?

I clicked "Remove from toolbar" when wanting to shoot to the top of what I had downloaded - how to restore DOWNLOAD arrow on the toolbar? If I download an update of some kind - or a program, I should be able to click on the arrow that appears on the upper right side of the browser - right than the blue? I can't figure out how to restore! I even tried to close and reopen the browser to see if it will rest - but no.
I am not programmer - so I need simple instructions!

  • I linked one chose "remove from toolbar" on the new "drive mode" icon and it removed my entire address bar and I can not find the place where to pick up

With the latest update of firefox (38.0.5) I take away the new features that I would never use the button 'save for later '. Then the notification popped up in the navigation bar for the new feature 'in player mode', which is another thing that I'll never use. I right click it and chose "remove from toolbar". This action removed my address bar. My navigation bar is still there, but the address bar to enter a URL has disappeared. It's just my research and my download bar and buttons of AdBlock. Usually, I have my bar address/URL/navigation to the left of the search bar with the navigation arrows. When I go to customize I can't find the address bar. I have a particular look, I prefer and would not have to go through the restoration of values by default if I have to. Maybe I'm just missing something stupid obvious and I just need someone to point out. Thank you!

    I found this link

And was able to "Refresh" my firefox. Now the long process of return to my silent settings I prefer. Really disappointed with firefox for the first time. Not the solution I was hoping.

Details on how to remove the 'drive mode' icon of a book of the URL bar it would be appreciated.

    Thank you!
