Remove 'Search' from the popup menu

How can I remove the 'Look up' Chrome or any other app in OS X Mr Capitan?

I get that the OS is special and users desperately and constantly need to research things no matter what they do, but how I always disable this thing and never have there as the first thing in the list? Example below. I feel offended, it's as if I'm a fool and the OS offers me the things research

The design point of view this beats the 'intelligence' and 'philosophy' buzz that apple says all its products carry and are designed in the spirit with.

From the point of view of implementation implement the ability to disable this thing easily where is?

Also what happens with this thing for the first sort of "records"?

Also the creation '. " DS_Store files"at each stage I do? What the * is this file in my project? He asked? Where the attention of the Apple claimed the retail packed into a device that is worth more than $2,000?

Compile a list of things now with all these bugs and UN-intuitivities and bad behaviour. It's like a ton of them. At the head of Mr. of the design actually engineering team use this thing in her daily life or it's just aluminum looking shiny?

What of the user experience for no dogmatic?

This is a user forum for those who need help for technical problems related to their computers or OS X such as software.  It is not a place for ranting, no matter how satisfying it might feel to do.  We cannot do anything about the rants.  You can leave your comments Apple if you want, and I'll give the link below.  They do not answer, but you might feel better when you are finished.

To answer your question, no, I don't think you can disable or remove the 'Search' function  This is not to insult your intelligence or make you feel stupid or anything else similar.  It is there, because sometimes we will come lyrics that we do not know the definition of the term.  It is an easy and quick way to get into the dictionary and discover the meaning of something.  Not more, not less.

You can do so by joining the actionitem as attachedObjects. Once the page is complete (signal onCreationCompleted), you can add it to the page using addAction()

To remove, you simply delete the page using removeAction()

Please tell us how can I remove programs from the Start Menu.  In other words, I seem to have many programs starting to run, when I start my PC.

    Thank you

Try this program to change the start:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configureAutoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services even more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP.

  • How to remove 'Save as PDF' from the popup menu

The item 'Save as PDF' leads to a shopping site called NITRO. I'm trying to eliminate it from the context menu. I installed the add-on Menu Edit and changed the item save as PDF from the visible to hidden on my PC Windows with Firefox 30 8.1. However, the issue has not disappeared from the context menu. Still on my PC with Linux Mint 17 with 30 Firefox for Linux Mint, the point went on the shortcut menu. My PC s linked with Firefox Synch.

    How can I remove this?

Such an entry in the context menu is probably added by a PDF file about the extension, in order to check your extensions.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

  • Why IE of Windows 7 Home Premium gray on "Set as wallpaper" from the popup menu?

I want to put the Bing image as the background image on the desktop of my Windows 7 Home Premium edition.

However, when I gray right click on the image in the context menu the game as background with background save under... and background copy

So I guess my real question is: How can I activate these entries in the context menu in IE of Windows 7 Home Premium.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

    Hi Paul-986,

I should have prefaced my answer with, "this option is not available in IE9, but here is an alternative."  Given that this option is not available in IE9, follow these steps to use bing as a background image:
    1. Go to Bing.com
    2. Press F12
    3. Click on browser Mode and select Internet Explorer 8
Now, do a right click and set the image as a background.
  • How to add (remove) items from the context Menu in Windows XP

I want that some programs appear in the OPEN WITH context menu. This allows me to choose another in the associated program. I don't want to change the association, and I don't want to search the program folder programs whenever I need.
    morphingstar

Right click on a file you want to modify the 'open with'.
Click 'Open with' and "Choose program."
Do not forget that you uncheck "Always use this program to open this type of file" except default if you want to use this program each time.

Select the program you want to use, if it is not listed, then click Browse and navigate to the program. And then click OK.
The new program now appears when you right click on the file or program.

Please let us know if that helps.

  • Update from the Popup Menu of the Panel

    Hello everyone,

to the internatinalization of Panel, I need to change the labels of the Flyoutmenu.

The updatePanelMenuItem function uses the menuItemLabel as identifier, I think that--why not the MenuItem ID?

    So my question is:

Is it possible to change the label of FlyoutMenuItem?

    Thank you!

    Hello

an alternative would be to first clear the menu then load a localized version of your menu of the XML string.

    CSLibrary.setPanelFlyoutMenu("", setPanelCallback);

    Then

    CSLibrary.setPanelFlyoutMenu(myLocaleXMLmenuString, setPanelCallback);

  • How to remove an item from the contextual menu orphan?

I had a workflow that I added in context menu of Clusters.  I forgot to remove it from the context menu before you delete the workflow, so now it is visible as a choice, but naturally does not start.  Any suggestions on how to get off the context menu now?

If you have a copy of the workflow on another instance of vRO, the easiest way would be to export from, import it on vRO instance that you use with the Web Client and remove the link of action in the context of the user interface.

If you don't have a copy of the workflow, you can try the following:

    • SSH for vSphere Web Client device stop vsphere-customer service
    • Delete the /storage/vsphere-client/SerenityDB/serenity/ALL/applications/vco-plugin/context.menu.actions file (you can make a copy of it to the case where)
    • Start service vsphere client (or reboot the power of vSphere Web Client)

After these steps, all custom context action mappings should have disappeared, including orphans.

  • In Windows 7, after the application of SP1, I can no longer access my phone book from the start menu or use the search function.

I just applied SP1.  Until I applied this update that everything worked as I expected.

Since then, whenever I type anything in the search on the start menu, there is no result.  The only exception to this is that if I type in a full path, for example "C:\Program Files\", how I get a list of files in that directory.  If I type in everything that is not a path, as for example the letter p or the word 'paint', told me that "no element not corresponding to your research."

If I click 'more results', I get an error with a big red x box.  The legend is "search query: = paint", for example if I searched for painting.  The text is "Windows cannot find ': search query = painting '.»  Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. "I wasn't expecting this error box, but rather a window with a list of search results.
I have downloaded and run the troubleshooter of research - Mats_Run.search.exe.  It tells me that no errors have been detected and gave me the option to reset the search.  I did this, then waited a whole day to search for re - index, but the results are the same.
In addition, after reading a few other questions on the microsoft Web site, I've done different things which seem to as they should not work - I have turned me folder, active random registry settings options, etc..  Indeed, none of these things had an impact or shows something unusual.
Also, I can access is no longer my home directory from the start menu.  If I click on my user name that appears in the upper right corner of the menu start, the start menu closes and nothing happens.
There are a few other circumstances where I can't reach my directory.  For example, if I have an Explorer pointed toward a library, say "Downloads", if I click on my user name in the breadcrumb path, he will remain in the directory downloads instead of going to my home folder, as I expect.  Also, if I click on my user name in the Favorites list in the left pane of the Explorer, I would expect the Explorer window to access my home folder.  Instead, he remains in the folder where he currently resides.
As I said earlier, before applying the update it worked as expected.
Thanks a lot for your time!

    Hello

Turn off or uncheck search in Windows Control Panel and restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, place a check for Windows Search and restart the computer. Then find the issue.

  • Remove "Run as Administrator" from the context menu

I'm locking of the student accounts on our lab computers, and I was wondering if there was a way to remove the "run as Administrator" from the context menu for the Office products?  I already deleted it for all other .exe files and shortcuts on the desktop through the registry after I made a backup.  The registry key that I deleted is:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\runas
Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I'm probably missing something (maybe to do with the students how creative people can be), but miss me how it helps lock anything down since the use of "Run as administrator" immediately triggers a dialog box asking for the administrator password.  Just curious.
