remove the battery of the laptop HP

I replaced the battery in this laptop before. The current battery is shot and must be replaced. For some reason, the look of slide out battery won't. I'm afraid that if I put more pressure on it, I break something. Should I lubricate the blade? Can someone help me?

Thank you

Sounds crazy, I use HP laptop for 5 years, but I could not understand how the hell should I take the battery from this new guy! Could someone please tell me what to do. If you know how to do it please show it with a photo or something, or set up a website or video or something.
Thank you and all comments are appreciated.

  • If I saved photo on an external hard drive, now remove the laptop backup files to free up space?

If I saved photo on an external hard drive, I can now delete backup files from the laptop for free space - my 'E' drive is full and cannot run backups more.  Also other documents that have now been removed still have backups that I need?  How will I know what backup should I keep not individually through hundreds of files?  Thank you in advance.

Original title: can anyone help please?

    Hello

You can take a safe backup.

After you create your first backup, Windows backup will add new information or changed to your subsequent backups. If you save your backups on a hard drive or network, Windows backup will create a new backup, full for you automatically if necessary. If you save your backups on CDs or DVDs and could not find an existing backup disk, or if you want to create a new backup of all the files on your computer, you can create a full backup. Here's how to create a full backup:

    1. Open backup and restore by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking the backup and restore.

    2. In the left pane, click on create new, full backup.

  • Mistake to replace the laptop battery HP Pavilion DV42161nr/entertainment

When I start my PC, I get an error message that the battery is very low and must be replaced.

Also I am not able to run my laptop without power cable.

    Please answer.

It seems to me that you have a defective battery.

There should be an icon in the 'System Tray', which, once selected warns talk you about the State of the battery and if he is in charge.

When selecting this icon and you are informed that the battery it will also give you a % of the battery charge State.

So, when you remove the laptop from the charging unit and this icon shows 'BATTERY LOW '.

Solution would be to replace the batteries.

    Hope this helps

  • Re: Satellite Pro L40 - killed the laptop BIOS update

Recently I thought it would be better to download the latest drivers and upgrades for my Satellite pro L40 to keep up-to-date and partners the laptop that works smoothly. I couldn't have worse summer. Before I updated the new driver updates I thought it would be a good idea first update the Bios. So I downloaded the update of the Bios on the Toshiba site, unzipped the files and followed the online instructions for updating the BIOS. I double clicked on the BIOS file to run the update, the laptop says it was end the session, I waited and the Toshiba logo screen came. In the instructions, it says that I have to press F2 now and confirm that the date and time are correct. I should then press F9 to load all the default values and then press F10 to save and exit. At this point, the laptop must away to the loading screen, but... I got a black screen. IV turned off the computer and turn it back on, but still, I get a blank screen. The lights are on but know one's home.

Could a mod/staff/Board Toshiba administrator please explain to me why I'm going to draw the consequences of my lack full on my face because I followed a form of direct teaching of personnel of Toshiba or... Please run me through the process of bring back my cell partners in life, before that I get my Crown snatched jewels. This isn't a laugh. An upgrade directly from the manufacturer is not intended to cause you problems!

Please get back to me as soon as POSSIBLE. My first son moments of life (videos, photos) are on this laptop. That cannot be replaced. Please tell me that the laptop can be fixed...

    Hello Durks

I'm really sorry to hear you I have this problem.
To be honest, it is not easy to discuss about this because a lot of people on this forum with a similar or same problem reacts quite aggressive if they don t hear exactly the thing they want to hear.

In any case, I just want to write my comment. Don t be worried about photos and other important data. You can remove the laptop HARD drive, put it in a small box of HDD SATA 2.5 and connect the HARD drive to the other PC / laptop as external device. You will have full access to all stored data. So you can do the backup.

    Update the BIOS.
What to say at this point?
I have checked the Toshiba download page and saw that the BIOS update is available for Windows XP Home edition and Vista pre-installed notebooks so I hope you ve chosen the right one. Anyway, it is not easy to fix screwed up in the BIOS. You hate me now, but I think you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. Call them, explain the situation and ask what you can do about it.

I hope you will fix this laptop soon.

    Good luck.

  • remove the stickers of Yoga

Anyone tried this? I hate "inspired by Intel", "Intel inside" and other crappy stickers. The last time when I was removing the laptop MSI, I stuck with dirty places after stickers. I wonder if Lenovo stickers can be removed without any problem?

  • Use the laptop power adapter and remove the battery?

I want to preserve the life of the battery by removing the battery and the adapter to power the laptop. What is a good/bad method? Please advice.

    Hello

I do the same thing. I am the owner of the Satellite P20 and removal of the battery is very easy. I do every time if the unit is connected to the power supply. It is certainly not bad method.

    Good bye

  • Tecra A7: Is it ok to remove the battery and store it outside of the laptop?

I took out the battery of Tecra A7 my wife so that it does not load and offload unnecessarily (laptop works exclusively on the sector).

However, I read on the Internet that to take out the battery can sometimes be dangerous to its electronic components: namely, electronics no longer works correctly and the battery is considered to place in Notepad, as 'dead', even if this isn't really so.

This can happen with my Toshiba battery, too?

I did the same thing with my older Satellite P20. I put t see any problem here. But it is recommended to charge the battery and run the laptop on battery only from time to time. Charge the battery up and he sometimes empty. It's good for each rechargeable battery.

I put t know where you found this info but believe me you can remove the battery and laptop can run on power only.

  • Laptop 2000: use the laptop with battery removed

Is it often advisable to conserve battery life by removing the battery whenever you have access to electricity? For example others only more often use their laptops on the inside, it's a good habit to remove the battery?
Also, made a direct power use when the battery is removed likely to affect the performance of the system or cause damage to the hardware components, D.C.
I ask because I've always liked running 3D applications when using my laptop at home. I use so to remove my battery when its completely charged. I recently met a smell of smoke the fan light but I didn't not take seriously because I couldn't feel it again thereafter. A few weeks back my laptop has plenty of the charging port and would not load or show indicator when charger is inserted. I tested the charger with another machine and it worked perfectly.

There is no increase in current. Laptops are designed such that the same current is supplied to the motherboard if the power adapter or the battery is used as an energy source. Issues of seizure of power almost always goes back to physical trauma as the connector is twisted or stuck in then just inserted.

  • HP G60-126NR: laptop does not start unless that removed the CMOS battery

I have a HP G60-126NR laptop. One day she was cold stone when I press the power button / stop. I unloaded the mothboard.  I then installed a new CMOS battery. I use the power supply to the power supply adapter. When I press the power button, I get nothing toally dead, except to show the light of connection. If I remove the CMOS battery, then discharge the motherboard again, then plug in, and the portable lights without power button / stop touching and goes into the Configuration screen to access in time. After time, it starts in Windows without a problem. SFC Windows scan shows no errors. If I stop, not sleep, the laptop died again unless I dump the motherboard and start from the square. In addition, I would like to say that when Windows is running, if I close the lid to put to sleep, you can see that the screen is still active despite change 'what happens when I close the lid. My diagnosis tells me that it needs a new motherboard.

PS: I flashed the BIOS off HP site thinking that it would solve my problem, but it has not...

The problem has been resolved. The jury of ciruit combination touch pad for power and WiFi was broken and has been replaced. Normal unit operation.

  • Can't remove the battery from dm4-1162us laptop

I bought a dm4-1162us on Black Friday and it just opened Dec. 9.

I started the program installation, as indicated, and the first order of the day is to insert the battery. It has been very difficult to insert, compared to the laptop PC battery much, I have added/removed over the past 18 years. (Also, I'm a female light weight with near-frostbitten fingers, so I couldn't use Brute Force).

When the battery have CLICKED into place, she jammed the release button, too, and I could not remove the battery. I took it to the Office Depot, where it was purchased, for a GUY to watch, and they agreed that there was PAPER jam.

Is this normal for this laptop? I know it's a new model number, so you have perhaps not seen this problem before.

I have not registered the laptop, since I can exchange this defective for a dm4-1160.

Thanks for any advice in this FRUSTRATING matter! I like what I've seen of the features, so far, but him have not yet "taken for a drive on the internet' still...

    Hello

I would take the offer from the other stores in the Exchange or replacement.  If the battery is currently blocked in Notepad, you have no way of knowing if any defect or the terminals of the battery terminals on the PC.

    Best wishes

  • Possible to remove the rechargeable battery (battery) for a long time?

I have laptop Satellite U940. Is it possible to remove the rechargeable battery, for example, for several months, while I use the laptop with external power only? Is - harmful to the battery?

When I'm at home, I usually use the laptop with external power supply only. I rarely need to the rechargeable battery.

Of course, it is possible and you can do it, but I really put t know if it's so important. Long time ago, that it has a meaning, but today, when the laptop uses the latest battery technology something like this is unnecessary.

I have old Satellite P200 and he is 5 years old. I ve never removed battery and even now I can use the laptop almost 2 hours on battery power (depends on the supply and usage parameters).

My advice is to use your laptop with battery and from time to time it is empty. These circles are good for the life of the battery.
