remove the casing usb-6009 floating voltage

Hello

I created a VI that records 6 6 different battery voltages, and everything is fine, until I disconnected a battery and it stills sees about 1.4 volts. How can I remove this offset (?)

It is present on the readings connected?

Concerning

Steven

The USB-6009 case has a non-standard input circuit which ends in ~1.4 V through the ~ 144000 ohms. Consult the manual for a schematic representation.

As long as your source has a much lower than the 144000 ohms impedance and can sink current (if the source voltage)< 1.4v),="" then="" you="" should="" be="" ok.=""  batteries,="" even="" nearly="" discharged,="" should="" not="" be="" a="">

    Hello

I use the OR-USB-6009 my power supply for a 12VDC with drive current of 300 solenoid my. Initially, I used a non reverse Op-amp circuit and Inverter circuit operational amplifier to get the + 12V and - 12V output but I could not get the current I required. Should I use a transistor?

Please find attached photos. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Adam

Well, really depend on your piercing circuit.  But I used most systems use the transistor to set the voltage of the device to 0V.  So when your DIO is high, the output is actually 0V (low).  So using a converter chip, your release of the DIO will be sort of the output circuit.  If you get the right IC, then the inverter will give you also a few extra current to drive your transistor.

  • Using the DAQ USB-6009 meter and an analog input voltage at the same time.

    Hello

Currently, I'm reading the two channels of voltage with the USB-6009. It happens that one of the channels is the output of a digital coder, and it would be much easier to use it directly to the PFIO entry that is defined as a counter. The problem I am facing right now, it's that I can't use the DAQ Assistant to use the analog voltage to a channel and the digital channel counter at the same time. Once I put the DAQ Assistant to read the input from analogue voltage, I won't be able to add analog inputs. And as I put the DAQ Assistant to use the PFIO as a counter, I can add more entries to read analog voltage is.

I wonder if it is possible to solve this problem using the lower level data blocks? Another solution would be to read two channels in analog input voltage and that the use of Matlab to process data resulting from it, since I was not able to do the counting to work simultaneously with the acquisition in Labview to impulses.

Hope you guys can help out me.

    Thanks in advance.

Using a simple wizard of DAQ is incorrect. You need one to acquire analog inputs and one for the meter.

  • With the NI USB-6009 analog input lag

    Hello

I try to acquire analog signals with NI USB 6009 using LabVIEW. (The signal is 50 Hz of the functional generator).

However, the acquired singnal has dynamic splitters, which is NOT observed by my oscilloscope.

I have no idea why this phase shift occurs.

Any information is welcome. Thank you for reading.

An image file will not help. Post your real VI. If Firefox does not work, use explore or Chrome to fix your VI (s)!

You have here a Subvi, I don't see what's inside and how it is configured. In addition, this while loop is ridiculous: there is no button to stop him running. Never use the red button to abandon for a normal shutdown of a VI!

Why you have configured NChan NSample? Measure a unique signal, Yes? For example, use 1 channel only.

Edit: why do not you play first with an example given, delivered with LabVIEW?

Your LabVIEW, go to the Help menu--> find--> material and output examples--> DAQmx--> entry--> and open 'Input.VI - constant tension!

This VI allows to enjoy your analog signal.

    Hello

Page 19 of the manual USB-6009:

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/371303l.PDF

Shows the internal circuits of the DAC are referenced to ground so there is no way to internally isolate it / provide any reference.

Maybe there is another way to make the desired effect? I don't know the details of your request to suggest everything.

  • The best way to channel multiple steps using NI USB 6009?

I'm new to labview and I am trying to acquire multiple voltages of several channels and spread them out on a chart. It seems impossible to do it at the same time since the NI USB 6009 has only one pair of ADC.

The only way I ever came with is to use daq assistant to support significant tensions one by one and then make it loop awhile, but y at - it any delay during the move between channels?

And there at - it of best ways to acquire data from multiple channels?

If you have specified multiple channels (i.e. Dev1 / ai0:ai3) with a single DAQ Assistant, then this is the right method. The inexpensive device has no simultaneous inputs, so you will have to live with the slight delay of channel inter.

  • measurement of the current usb or 6009

I'm trying to trace the evolution of a CCCV charger while it loads a 60V lithium-ion battery. I know that the charge rate is (1/6) C and the nominal capacity of the battery is 26Ahr resulting in a current of 4.33 has during this constant stage. I have the NI USB-6009 case and that e/s analog devices is estimated at 50 Ma, so I can't connect a thread of the charger directly on the device OR. I was thinking of buying a CT that connects directly to the material NOR and run the (+) lead from charger through the CT, as it charges the battery. What is the best way to go with the flow for a complete charge cycle? What are the other options to draw current developments?

A CurrentTransformer will work with current alternative...

A CT compensated with element Hall (research LEM) can measure AC / DC...

I'd look for a Hall Allegro current sensor... has a galvanic isolation output, and the output is the input range 6009.

  • Reduce the period of sampling of the digital inputs of NOR-USB-6009

    Hello

I need to read a line of digital input in the NI USB-6009 using NOR Express 2013 Signal box. I selected 1 sample (upon request) as acquisition mode. I need to define a smaller sampling period as 1 MS, but it gives error too short sampling period: "the current sampling period is too short.  Please specify a longer sampling period. ».
I do not understand the reason for it and a way to slove this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!

The 6009 doesn't have a clock that you can set for a sampling period. According to the specifications, the digital I/o is software programmed - sample on request you use now. I'm not at all familiar with SignalExpress but I don't think that you can find near a reliable khz sampling frequency on Windows or any other os non-deterministic.

  • Typical values for the external resistance of pull-up on a line of output digital NI USB 6009?

    Hi all

I use a digital line on a USB-6009 to control a SSR by the attached diagram (in the manual USB 6009).  I don't have access to a variable resistor or box of 10 years, so I'm hoping to get a good approximate estimate for the value of Re.  When I connect the CRDD at a 5V supply, it shoots 8.2mADC when closed.

Any suggestions?  Is there any other information I can post for help with the guestimations?

    Thank you!

I have found an old box of decade Heathkit and understand the degree of correct resistance 100 ohms.

  • What is input equivalent circuit of USB 6009 PFI0

The entry USB-6009 PFI0 is the same the analog input circuit stated in manual mode?

I use the PFI0 to trigger a measurement of voltage and it works a lot using a HP function generator.

When I try to drive the low entrance with my circuit looks like there's a pull up resistance to + 5 on the entry of PFI0 terminal.
This entry PFI0 will accept an output of comparitor from 0 to 15 volts with being damaged?

    Kip

Here is my solution to operate the PFI0 TTL digital input using a CMOS comparator.

    I use a 2N4401 npn transistor.

Connect the transmitter to the ground terminal.

Connect the manifold to the PFI0 (there is a pull-up internal resistance to the 6009).

To connect to the Base of a voltage divider that limits in input current and decreases the CMOS voltage to TTL levels.

In my case I'm going to 0 to + 15 so my voltage divider is 4.7 k and 2.2 kohm to fall to 0-5 volts.

It is an Inverter circuit so your sense of trigger will go head on falling edge, or vice versa.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • motor current by using NI USB-6009

Is there a way to measure current of a motor with the NI USB-6009 case? I understand that I must use I = V/R. But it seems that with this concept, I would have losses for the engine, so I used a small resistance and measure the voltage across it. I'm trying to get a reading of the Spike current with a voltage to an engine No. Thanks for the help.

    -Nick

The shunt would be just to go online with the engine and measure the voltage drop across the resistance.

  • OR USB-6009 and Tek TDS2024C comparesment

My apologies if this topic was already discussed, but I searched through the forum and manuals and can't find anything.

I have a problem with measurements in parallel with TDS2024C NI USB-6009 and Tek.

I measured the noise high frequency on 10 s window.

I used the data logger with a frequency of 40 kHz connection in parallel with TDS2024C (which reached 250 Hz on 10s window) and got very different results.

On the attachment figure, first signal comes from screenshot of scope data and the second of the NI USB-6009 islogged.

Can someone explain to me why are these so different results?

Different sampling frequencies could easily explain it.  Try to run the USB-6009 case at the same rate as the scope and see what you get.  I also think that the TDS2024C has fewer bits in the ADC, which could also cause differences.

  • Control of Stepper Motor with case NI USB-6009

    Hi all

I am currently creating a movement control system with a double movement actuator

    http://www.haydonkerk.com/LinearActuatorProducts/StepperMotorLinearActuators/DualMotionLinearActuato...

and two bipolar chopper drives (see table), which should power the motor. We already have a NI USB 6009 in our lab, so I was wondering if I could use it to send signals to the two pilots to control the speed and direction of each axis on the engine?

Enclosed driver's manual indicates that input signals should be 0-5 V DC (TTL logic). I have been informed by the engine distributor that the 0-5 V DC TTL drivers required, the signals are analog. The NI USB-6009 manual reading, there are two 0-5 V analog outputs on the acquisition of data usb so I could provide two signals?

There are often posted however similar problems, it is usually a digital signal NI6009/6009 sends the driver. Looking at the driver's manual, can someone tell if an analogue signals or required as I have said, I was misinformed or 0-5 v DC signal will be enough. I can get more in touch with the dealer if you have any questions you guys think I should ask him.

Thanks in advance for any help! It is much appreciated.

I looked in the manual and it doesn't seem to be very clear. I know that the USB-6009 case is capable of AO and DO, then you would be although it is. I could contact the Haydon Kerk support for more concrete details on the gap between what says the manual and what they told you.
