Remove the child window Parent using WIN API

Hi all

For a parent-child relationship between two screws using the User32.dll I use the SetParent function and pass the handle of the parent VI and VI child to this function. Now, after this relationship has been established, I want to remove the child from the parent window and use it as an independent VI using WIN API. Can someone help me on this?

Thanks in advance!

Fragger Fox!

Hi Fragger Fox,

I think that it should be possible, if you assign a new parent to the child. Maybe this works if you assign the desktop as a new parent.

It will be useful.

    Hello!

    I saw this thread answered for someone else... can you help me?  Same thing applies, security for the family, is on the side parents but not to the connection of the child. Cruelly by a nine year old :)

    For that to work, I installed Minecraft while logged in as an administrator. Then, I changed the permissions on the shortcut to add the "child" Windows user account I created. I gave that Win User all permissions account and then restarted. After that I connected to the account of the 'child' and launched the shortcut on the desktop and it worked.

  • Satellite A660-k17: can I remove the two primary partitions used for restoration?

    Hello
    I have 3 questions :) #.

    1. I burned a copy dvd recovery media, on a laptop A660 k17. There are two partitions on the disk that I think are there for the recovery. The first is 1.46 GB and it's for the recovery and another partition hidden 8.29 GB... and I think that the first contains the Recovery Wizard and the whole environment in which we will get through the repair of the system and the hidden disk contains the actuall with windows data, drivers and so on. Can I remove these two? I ask mainly on the first, if it is not necessary for the system to boot or something after that I have to recover the laptop to the factory setting.

    2 and I also want to leave my partitions so that I don't have to partition the whole drive from C 600 GB again. I have a D drive created but there is this response to a topic already in the forum http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=64754&tstart=90
    who says that when I leave the partitions I created myself, that the recovery will be not available. I have a copy on dvd, but only to make sure no kidding something upward.

    3. when I want a clean system without some software which are preloaded on the oem recovery disk... I have to use windows recovery? or it will be the same as the toshiba one?
    Thanks for the reply possible :)
    Beautiful day :)

    > Can I remove the two primary partitions used for restoration?
    First not, but you can remove the Toshiba recovery partition if you created the recovery DVDs. One day, if you want to install the recovery image once again you can use created the recovery disc.

  • Is it ok to remove the old Windows updates as I have many of them take a lot of disk space?

    I have several updates of microsoft for a few years. I am auto update, but all the old updates are still there. Is it necessary to keep or to delete to free up space. I get warnings that the computer is low on virtual memory.

    original title: is it OK to remove the old windows updates as I have many of them taking place?

    Virtual memory is used only when your physical memory has been exhausted.  This happens usually either when you have not restarted recently, or when you have too many programs running at the same time.  I suggest you reboot at least once a week and if it continues to happen, a purchase more RAM.

  • adding new files or remove the old Windows Media Player files. (Vista)

    Since June 2010, I was not able to add new files or remove the old Windows Media Player files.  I can click on a new file and play using WMP or add to a playlist that is currently playing, but it does not recognize that it was added after as I close the program and re-open it.  Or I can delete the files that no longer exist on my computer but WMP always has them as my files.  When I click on add new media, it recognizes the right amount of files I would be adding, says to add them and then nothing is there.

    Your media library has probably been corrupted. To reset, follow the instructions for WMP 11 Vista at http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary . Note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too. Tim Baets

  • How can I remove the old Windows folder to a different drive?

    Original title: Old files Windows, Program Files, etc.

    I tried to use before Disk Cleanup and it worked, and I haven't run a complete installation.

    I'm having a problem now, this time, and I did a full install.  Disk Cleanup doesn't show any options to remove an old Windows as it did before.

    How can I remove the old Windows folder to a different drive?  I also try to remove the Program Files folder, as well as with an implementation since.

    It is showing an error message "I need to be in the Administrators group ~", and that TrustedInstaller is owner of the present.

    I have a question that "TrustedInstaller" has full authority on the file system, and 'Administrators' has limited access.

    I noticed that there are other three to make a total of four names of users who have all or nearly full access to the file system.

    Can it be fixed... it's pretty annoying to see this continue..., strictly through Windows Update.

    I look forward to your reply.

    Note that you can work with two screens and drag and drop the image to display on the other window.

    I think you mean working temporarily with the window enlarged image without displaying all the tools and panels.

    See:

    Panels and bins in Photoshop Elements

    My advice: take the time to read the above help and especially to look at ways to maximize this window if you are on Mac or Win.

    Set your preferences in the Edit menu to "allow the floating windows in expert mode.

    Use the "tab" on the keyboard key to hide or show your panels and tools quickly.

  • Problem with remove the child to

    I have an empty clip that contains text and media for executives in a lesson called content_mc

    I load dynamically in a text box and then other things such as graphics, videos and other swf files...

    before you begin to insert swf files, it worked very well, but it was just the text on the screen, now that I have other media, it removes "randomly" children and I can't understand why it's what I use:

    for (var c:uint = 0; c < content_mc.numChildren; c ++) {}
    trace (c + ":" + content_mc.getChildAt (c) .name);
    content_mc.removeChildAt (c);
    }

    Anyone know what is happening?

    Figured it out!

    OK, for those of you who want the answer to this, but don't want to pay for it...

    I realized that when you use the removeChildAt() she removes the child of the index number... so the way I did it was like this:

    for (var c:uint = 0; c
    trace ("-" + content_mc.getChildAt (c) .name + "(" + c + "')");
    content_mc.removeChildAt (c);

    doing this, he was first to remove the child at index 0. and what made flash NOW are "slides" down an index... so the element that was at index 1 is now 0, the element at index 2 is now 1, etc... so when I arrived at the last, it would not remove it because it was no longer there...

    but change to it (instead of using the variable c, you have just put 0 in the index box):
    for (var c:uint = 0; c
    trace ("-" + content_mc.getChildAt (0) .name + "(" + c + "')");
    content_mc.removeChildAt (0);

    solved the problem :)

    • with a few OSes 5.0.X.X, BBm is a basic application and cannot be deleted.
    • BUT the other OSes, the BBm 5.0.X.X became an addon application and can be removed. (i.e. 5.0.0.43 6 and 5.0.0.462)

    If you have the first category OS, I suggest you try and install BBm for example using AppWorld. Perhaps by upgrading BBm, it will become an add-on.

  • How to remove the variable created when using definedNamedWhereClauseParam()

    Hello

    My Jdev version 11.1.1.7.0.

    I'm Executive where clause programatically where I need to bind two bind parameters under certain conditions. Example, I have two bind variables X, Y.

    Here's the problem:

    Assume that the first time I'm setting one variable X, so I define X bind variable and execute the query.

    What second time I send only Y but not X. In this implementation of the scenario of VO throw an exception, given that the variable X is already created in the VO object and where clause does not have this setting.

    So how to remove variables created in the original Version all in definedNamedWhereClauseParam(). I need to erase what ever the previously created variable every time I execute method.

    I can make the similar functionlity using setWhereClauseParam (using literals). But I have a few technical restrictions for use.

    Could you please help me how to remove the variable before vo using definedNamedWhereClauseParam.

  • How to load the child table by using a simple slider...?

    How can I loa the child table by using a PL/SQL block cursor...

    for example, I have a table of the source called method

    EmpNo, empname, deptid deptname

    and I have 2 tables of taget... EMP and Dept.

    EMP
    ===
    EmpNo, empname, deptid

    Dept
    ====
    deptID, deptname

    Here, I want to load method for emp data and... Dept where dept does not contain data in double...

    For now... I used the cursor and in the same cursor, I'm loading data first dept table and then to the emp table.
    I use for dept, exceptional setting, which will manage a PK constraint violation error by doing nothing...

    in this way, there will be no duplicates... but it is not advisable because I 15,00,000 lines in the method table.

    Is there another way to do it?

    OK, I'd probably go with the method two insert, but as an alternative, here's a way to do it in a single insert:

    create table emp_info as
    select 1 empno, 'a' empname, 101 deptid, 'aaa' deptname from dual union all
    select 2, 'b' empname, 201 deptid, 'bbb' deptname from dual union all
    select 3, 'c' empname, 101 deptid, 'aaa' deptname from dual union all
    select 4, 'd' empname, 101 deptid, 'aaa' deptname from dual union all
    select 5, 'e' empname, 301 deptid, 'ccc' deptname from dual;

    create table emp (empno number primary key, empname varchar2(3), deptid number);

    create table dept (deptid number primary key, deptname varchar2(3));

    insert all
      WHEN rn = 1 THEN
           into dept (deptid, deptname)
           values (deptid, deptname)
      WHEN rn > 0 THEN
           into emp (empno, empname, deptid)
           values (empno, empname, deptid)
    select empno, empname, deptid, deptname, rn
    from   (select empno,
                   empname,
                   deptid,
                   deptname,
                   row_number() over (partition by deptid order by empno) rn
            from   emp_info);

      8 rows inserted

    commit;

    select * from emp;

         EMPNO EMP     DEPTID
    ---------- --- ----------
             1 a          101
             3 c          101
             4 d          101
             2 b          201
             5 e          301

    select * from dept;

        DEPTID DEP
    ---------- ---
           101 aaa
           201 bbb
           301 ccc

    You must test these two methods to see which is more efficient.
