Remove the dark grey background topic

Hello:

Recently, I captured a whim of a subject.  A woman with blond hair wearing a black jacket.  Initially, she was going well with the dark gray background and subsequently had doubts.  She asked if I could change the background to a lighter color.

I'm new to PS and I have a lot to learn.  Is it possible for me to remove the background?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not an expert by any means, so there might be a method easier or better, that I don't know.

The best option I have found is using the color range (select > color range) on black background to select all similar black, then deselect parts you do not want to be cut/eased with the cropping lasso tool. Then you will be left with a fairly accurate harvest of just him.

Here is what it seems that after I've played with him for a minute, with little patience you can do much better.

  • Remove the dark part of the Image

    Hello

I just started to work with NI VISION. I have attached an image with this post.

Can someone tell me how I can remove the dark part in the picture? I read on the histogram, which gives a total number of pixels at each level of gray.

But I don't know how I can use this information to improve the quality of the image, or in my case how can I use it to balance the values of pixels surrounded with the rest of the image.

I hope I explained my problem properly.

I found the solution to the problem. I used "Manipulation of pixels.

I was looking for a way to remove the white square background that surrounds our company logo series so that when I place it in an inDesign doc, it's just around and wrong inside a white square.  Can someone explain please how to do this?  I tried everything I can think of.

Ok. Thanks for the display of the logo. We want to keep the white in the circle.

    2. Duplicate the background layer and close the visibility of the background layer by clicking on the "eye" icon. Work on the background copy layer

You are welcome. If this does not work for you, consider using a mask. The goal is to preserve the foreground and hide/remove the background...

    Hello

This is the case when you are not using the aero theme (windows vista). Change this in the area of the Control Panel/customize/Themes. If it is not available, you will need to restart the service themes (start/search, type services.msc and hit , scroll down to themes, click on start/restart option in the left column).

  • How can I remove the photoshop background by default so that I can see my desktop?

How remove the default photoshop "background" (don't know what Adobe calls) so that I can see my desktop? Let me explain. When I open photoshop, it takes up my entire screen. I don't like it. I have to minimize the background to be able to see my office. I took for fixed the menus on the left, top and right and minimizing the background, but every time I open a photoshop file, the background reappears as a cover on my desk, so I have to keep to a minimum the bottom once again. Photoshop guess I should be focusing on a single file at a time and only this file, when in the real world, I jump to a file in a file, several times having photoshop multiple files open at the same time, not to mention other open files as well as a browser too. There MUST be a default setting to open photoshop without the distracting background, but I have not yet found. Can you please help? Thank you. stem

  • Dark gray background to and image/pattern

I use Illustrator cs6. I would like to change the dark gray background that surrounds the jury of art at a step and repeat the reasons for our logo. We use screenshots as a means of producing evidence low resolution. Seen our step and repeat model logo as background would include easily in our trials of low screen resolution. Can I replace the file 'system' for the gray dark in our approach and knit?

You cannot change the pateboard for a model logo using preferences Illustrataor, but you can make a layer below everything and put your model logo in there. In layer options, you can disable print and lock the layer if you want.

  • How can I remove the white fringes around dark objects - Elements 10

Landscape photos in differential high contrast areas I get a white fringe. How can I REMOVE this?

    R_Kelly wrote:

This can happen with a photo that has been sharper.

I also found that the effect of the new "shake removal" is inclined to create similar artifacts.

Sharpening works around the edges to change the brightness of the darker and lighter side on the edge. Closer to the edge, the lighter side becomes even lighter, darker becomes darker. The limit on the Board now has a lot more visual contrast.

One way to thwart the "oversharpening" is to use a reverse action (blur).

The effect that can produce a similar action on the edges in the opposite direction, is the "Gaussian" filter blur. The same idea is also used with the method "high pass sharpening layer.

The problem with the "fuzzy" is that it removes the sharpening anywhere, and not only where the white objects are a problem.

The first idea is to use masks to limit the effect around the areas at issue.

The other idea is to use a "fuzzy" selective running only on the clear part of the edge.

To try this, select a test with details of file image and sharpen strongly to the visible white fringes.

    -duplicate your background.

-Apply the filter ' other > high pass with a radius of 1 to 3 and choose a like a soft light blending mode. (even more sharpening)

-reverse this layer: blur effect as with Gaussian blur.

-Stamp visible (create a new layer with the resulting effect)

-remove or hide the high pass layer

-set the new layer to "compete."

The result is that you always keep the original on the dark side of the edges, while sharpening effect by masking the effect on the lighter side.

Of course, using masks to apply the effect on the areas with problems is also to be considered.

  • How to remove the background in the photo?

I have a product from a table on a dark background. I need the best way please remove this background so that the table is separated with a transparent background (photo will appear on the web). The table also has slats and the dark background can also be seen here.

I tried several times, but without success.  In my view, using the tool magnetic lasso would work, however, I'm having a very hard time finding out out to use it. In addition, I found no good video tutorials on the web.

Can someone please give me detailed instructions on how to do this? Thank you very much.

All of these straight lines make the cry of to use polygonal lasso.

    1. click on the lock icon to background in your Layer palette. Without releasing the button of the mouse, make sliding the lock on the trash icon can release when you arrive on the trash can. (This will convert your background layer to a regular layer layer without going through a right dialog box.)

    2. Select the polygonal lasso in your Toolbox. Start in a corner and click to end in a corner... go around Chair until the outer edge of the Chair is selected.

    3. If you have PES 9, add a layer mask to the layer Chair. (Note: you cannot add a layer mask to a... locked background layer so be sure to step #1.)

You should now have the outline of your Chair.

    4. with the polygonal lasso still selected, change the icon to add to the selection.

Straddling the icon square... you are the UI will be different because is not PES but the symbol icon looks the same in your toolbar options.

4B. use polygonal icon to select the Interior (between the slats) areas of Chair to be deleted.

4 c. When you have finished click on mask to target. Press D to define your tool box color chips to black and white by default.  Fill with black paint selections by pressing Ctrl + Backspace if on a PC. (If the color chips were reversed would be pressed alt + Backspace if on a PC.) Alternatively, you can just dump the black paint on the selection by using the paint bucket.

Keep in mind with masks, you can go back and fix things by using black paint to hide and white paint to reveal. Usually, it is a good idea at this point to temporarily lift a United under your image background to get a good look at the edges.

You should now have your Chair selected, but you can do some extra steps to clean up a bit.

    Cleaning option...

Turn off the background layer if you added one to inspect the edges.

    1. create a composite of your Chair at this point. Add a black layer, then press ctrl + shift + alt + e keys if on a PC. If on a mac, use command + shift + opt + e. (this will place your Chair selected on a layer itself. After doing this turn off the Chair hidden layer.

2 Ctrl click on the thumbnail of the Chair in the palette of the layer if a PC to choose the President. (If on a Mac, I believe you cmd click on the thumbnail.)

    3. go to your menu and choose the selection command<>

    4. with step #3 active selection, go to the menu and choose the selection command<>

You can also try to select<>

    5. Add a layer mask to your layer of Chair.

You can check your results by turning on the solid color layer, you added. Note: Steps 3 and 4 could be made using refine edge, if you have one of the latest versions of items.

    Final step.

You must save in a format that supports transparency... PNG, TiF, PSD, Gif... pretty much anything except JPG. I don't know which format is best for Web... probably PNG, but cannot say that it is the road that is best that I don't know which works best with most browsers.

It might be too small to see the difference between just selecting and clean the edges using the contract and a touch of feathers.

Note: You could even hide a composite of the two versions that the slight bit of feathers can round the corners slightly. I think if it was me it would be the way I would take... use the version with feathers but mask to selectively in the corners that look too soft. My version of contract/feather in my eyes seem a bit soft (rounded) in the corners under the seat of the Chair.

White pages shiny most of web sites hurt my eyes and I really enjoy making pages a gray color.
After you change the preferences/content/color/background to a dark gray, I really like how everything seems particularly search pages, google calendar, gmail, etc..

The problem is that many buttons have disappeared. These buttons are icons that I believe so I don't understand why the color of background them would disappear.

  • Why can't I remove the sides of the grey?

A weird thing happened. Some of my songs have the coast star dimmed, see chart below. Tracks 1 and 5 are the stars that I put. But I have not defined the greyed rankings 2 channels 2 3 & 4 stars.
