Remove the dead CP1025NW cartridges

Hello

My HP Laser Jet CP1025NW had a problem during a firmware update and now won't turn on (just the Attention and ready lights illuminate). HP sent me a replacement printer, but he told me to keep my cartridges for use with the replacement. The problem is that you should press the toner for color cartridges run the corresponding cartridge to the front of the printer access panel. With the printer does not, I can remove the drum and toner cartridge color that was in the front.

Anyone know how to get manually other cartridges turned to the access panel? There is nothing in the manual and support HP did not provide a useful suggestion (they said ship them the printer and they will replace it - but I already have one on the way).

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Hey

It's a little late for the answer to your question, but I answer to help out others that may encounter the same problem you sketched out above.

You must manually force "wheel" mechanism to the position where the toner cartridge would have if the change cartridge button worked.

(1) switch the front panel upward and remove the drum

(2) open the top panel and remove a cartridge, you are able to remove.

(3) now put a hand in the forward hold and in support of the cartridge from the bottom and your other hand from the top (lid open) and force the cartridge upwards - you will hear a click when you move the cartridge to a position where you are able to get out now 'only' cartridge.  -You will have to put pressure to force the wheels on the side to turn up, but at the same time be gentle enough so that you are not to break.

(4) repeat step 3 to raise the remaining cartridges in a position where they can be removed.

Voila, now you can return the masoned hp laserjet printer and keep your original 4 toners.

A storm on the last week my OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus feeding dish. The printer is irretrievably economic so I ordered a new printer.

    Hello

I t is recommended to remove the screen and open it.
The screen is one of the most expensive parts of the laptop.
If you have no experience in such proceedings it is possible that you may damage the entire screen.

However, I think the screen is fixed with screws that you will find the image of the screen. But in your case, I recommend contacting the service to remove the dead bug.
The guys have more experience and can remove it more quickly.

  • Cannot remove the tape on the printer cartridges that came with my new printer according to the instructions.

    Product name/number - Deskjet 1000 printer J110 Series

There is a clear pink band which I couldn't remove a little bit of a corner and have toner all over the fingers to do. The band is perhaps too dry, be flexible, but I can't do it. What can I do?

I have not tried the printer connected to my computer again, because I did not get that far in the installation instructions.

    Hi gmaharriet,

Looks like that you actually remove the strip of copper flex of the cartridge. Remove more of the band with blue or pink tab is not covered by the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to purchase a new cartridge to complete the setup of the printer. Take a picture of the cartridge and then attach it to this post.

Please see the following for a good removal of the protective film.

  • HP DESKJET Ink Advantage 2010: Should I remove the Deskjet printer ink cartridge during transport?

Hello! I want to ask you if anyone can tell me how to correctly carry a printer?

I use the printer for 2 days (so ink cartridges have been placed only 2 days ago) and would like to know if:

    1. I have to remove the cartridges. If I remove and reinsert will still be usable?

    2. it's OK to carry the printer on the side if the cartridges are inside. Or I have to carry the item in its upright position?

I hope someone can help me as soon as possible because I'm leaving tomorrow morning.

    Hello @nikkiyzq,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I hope that's going to happen to you until you leave. Take a look below for instructions of proper care for the HP cartridges:

Storage and handling of the ink cartridges

I do not recommend storing the printer on the side, you do not want any ink to flee.

I hope that answers your questions.

  • Problems to remove a dead area of the pinned item files link

    Hello

I have a user who has an icon of dead in the pinned to the start menu item box.  It is a .pdf document that I can't find on his computer, so I guess she has deleted it.  He can not find by doing a search through the registry database.  I simply can't right-click on the icon because it causes Explorer to crash.  I then have to to bring up the Task Manager, to complete the process on exploring and then restart it.

Does anyone know where in the registry database, windows Explorer, or a tool would allow me to remove this icon?  IE and Outlook appear and work fine, it's just this .pdf file that freezes everything.

    Thank you

    Hello PS-Phil,

Start the computer in Mode safe and try to remove the pinned item and check if you are able to remove it successfully.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Check out this link to do the same thing:
