Remove the entire sequence of xml using the stylesheet

I have just begun to develop with TestStand and its XML report generating functionality and managed to skip most learning hedges previously except for this one:

I want to be able to remove an entire sequence (and all the sub-sub-activities/sequences below).  I created successfully filtering expressions in a report.xsl custom to remove "failed" a steptype specific tests.  However, removing all THE measures/actions that belong to a sequence of parent has baffled me.

To illustrate, I have 3 sequences in my mainsequence file called 'Group A', 'Group B', Group C".  I have three different style sheets that will percolate one of these three groups.

If the (unfiltered) gross output looks like this:

Group A

-Start the sequence group A

-Step 1

-Step 2

-Sous-suite A1

-Step 1

Group B

-Start the sequence group B

-Step 1

-Step 2

-B1 sous-suite

-Step 1

Group C

-Start the sequence group C

-Step 1

-Step 2

-Sous-suite C1

-Step 1

I would like to be able to filter the xml so that it deletes the Group B entirely, as follows:

Group A

-Start the sequence group A

-Step 1

-Step 2

-Sous-suite A1

-Step 1

Group C

-Start the sequence group C

-Step 1

-Step 2

-Sous-suite C1

-Step 1

I am extremely new to XML and XSL style sheets and how they interact with TestStand.  Is what I'm trying to do possible?  Like a relief, I suppose I could somehow tag each action in a sequence with the group that he runs sub - possibly by using a string in 'other results', but it would be very laborious and prone to error.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Matt

SOLVED!

Turn, the response was not as difficult as I thought.  The action to remove an entire sequence is actually not very different from remvoing one step 'failed' or 'NI_FLOW' steptype.

The snippet for the solution is shown below and may be merged with anything that currently exists in your .xsl style sheet:

function CheckIfStepSatisfiesFilteringCondition_node(node)
    {
       //ADD_STEP_FILTERING_CONDITION
       //Modify the filtering condition here to filter steps shown the report.

       //Grab the displayed step name
             var stepName = node.selectSingleNode("Prop[@Name = 'TS']/Prop[@Name = 'StepName']/Value").text;

             //Test if step name corresponds to sequence desired for removal ("Group B" in this example)
             if (stepName=='Group B')
               return false;
       return true;
     }

If a step name never matches 'Group B', not only is removed from this row of the report, but all measures under this parent are also deleted.  It's exactly what I was describing in the op.

  • Remove the automatic sequence and trigger the DDL for surrogate keys?

    Is there a way to remove the shutter and the sequence of creation for surrogate keys when export file DDL?

    I know that most of the time the auto sequence and trigger creation is welcome and very convenient.

    However I'm migrating from an old model of Designer and here only the necessary sequences are created.

    They have a different name and logical trigger is personalized (and generated outside of the Designer).

    There is a lot of code package accordingly. So, I prefer to create and use different sequences.

    Is there a way to do this? Tips are welcome. Create

    Hello

    you change preferences - "Data Modeler > model > physics > Oracle"-set "Default auto-increment DDL" and "Identity default DDL" voices against ZERO and generate the DDL for Oracle12c

  • Remove the effect of a movie clip nested in a multi-cam sequence?

    This might be (and I hope is) a question with several solutions.  I worked on a wedding ceremony and cut it into editing multicamera.  I have finished all touching up and am ready to send to will coloring, but I got a little carried away and had done some color work in first Pro CC with the Lumetri Looks.  I can't understand how unnest sequence clips and remove the effect or find the effect of the nested element.  I'm also curious to know if this would even transfer at will through XML, and it's really not worth you worried about?  Color will probably be something similar to what gave me Lumetri, but I'd rather have done with more detailed ranking checks.

    As a question, is possible to unnest a sequence but keep multicam editing?

    Press SHIFT + F when, in the multicam sequence.  Who will open the sequence of origin on the same chassis.

  • Nested reading XML using XQUERY in the PL/SQL procedure

    I'm using Oracle 11 G.
    I have a PL/SQL procedure, which is reading XML using xquery XMLTYPE column in a table. The XML contains data of the DEPARTMENT and its SECTIONS. DEPARTMENT has a to-many with SECTIONS or a DEPARTMENT can have one or more SECTIONS, and there may be cases where the DEPARTMENT will have all SECTIONS.

  • How to remove the XML prologue in Oracle?

    Our system works as follows:

    1. place a piece of XML code in the database as a CLOB
    2 database converts this value to XMLTYPE (stored as a CLOB (you can skip this, Marco * {;-)))))
    3. a request then reads XML from the database and inserts it into another bit of XML
    4. the application continues his treatment based on this new composite XML.

    So far, the XML that is loaded into the database in step 1 (for various systems) has never contained a prologue. However, a new system came along and is now passing in a prologue. There are problems of application in step 3.

    Apart from trying to get the new system do not spend in the prologue, is there a way to remove it of in Oracle?

    I came up with two solutions are not elegant:

    1. use XMLTABLE to retrieve the main root node (which might be different, depending on the system sent in the data and could change)
    2 convert the prologue in a commentary, using REPLACE the product, before converting the CLOB in an XMLTYPE.

    If I was forced to use one of the following methods, I would go with 2, but I really, really hope that there is a better way to do it.

    Someone at - it any other suggestions, please?

    PS. We are currently on 10.2.0.4 and are about to move to 11.2.0.3, but the solution is to work on both versions, for more fun and excitement!

    It's error, the application gives: "error obtaining Exception of SAX for additional information: no processing instruction begins with"xml"" who says that the app dev is due to the presence of the prologue in the middle of xml, the app has build up.

    So, basically, the app just "glue" XML in the middle of the other regardless of the structure? What kind of design is?
    IMO, the application needs to be fixed, not the XML input.

    A lot about how to add the prologue, nothing on how to remove it!

    You can use the XMLQuery function to get the root element:

    SQL> create table tmp_xml3 of xmltype
      2  xmltype store as basicfile clob;

    Table created

    SQL> insert into tmp_xml3 values (xmltype(''));

    1 row inserted

    SQL> select * from tmp_xml3;

    SYS_NC_ROWINFO$
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    SQL>
    SQL> select xmlquery('*' passing object_value returning content)
      2  from tmp_xml3;

    XMLQUERY('*'PASSINGOBJECT_VALU

  • Need to remove the tags file Nullable while generating XML files

    Hello.

    I have a requirement where I have to generate an XML file, but the generated XML file does not display the tags when the column is null. An example below:

    CREATE TABLE emp_tab (emp_id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY
    name VARCHAR2 (20).
    dept_id NUMBER);
    Table created.
    INSERT INTO emp_tab VALUES (30, 'Scott', NULL);
    1 line of creation.
    INSERT INTO emp_tab VALUES (31, 'Mary', NULL);
    1 line of creation.
    INSERT INTO emp_tab VALUES (40, 'John', NULL);
    1 line of creation.
    COMMIT;

    When I generate the XML code, you can find the output like below:
    < EMPLOYEE >
    < EMP_ID > 30 < / EMP_ID >
    Scott < NAME > < / NAME >
    < / EMPLOYEE >

    I just the Worklfow Developer's Guide and the example above was taken from Page 561 and 562 by looking at the DBMS_XMLGEN.setNullHandling using DBMS_XMLGEN procedure. DROP_NULLS as a parameter.

    Now, I understand the concept, but my requirement is a little different. I get a record as my procedure parameter PLSQL type, but requires the choice of a base table, which means maybe I have to insert first the folder I get as parameter in a table of basic and then select in the same when you set the context, which is what I don't want in the DBMS_XMLGEN.newContext. This is an additional burden.

    I've previously planned to use XMLELEMENT and XMLFOREST to generate the XML file (and was rather more simple), but this requirement to remove the tags altogether when the values are NULL led me to believe that maybe I might have to go down the path of using the API DBMS_XMLGEN.

    Can you suggest a better way, replacement to achieve what I want? Or perhaps give an example on how I can get there using XMLDB?

    Thank you and best regards,
    JD

    Can I use just the XMLElement and XMLForest to achieve?

    Sure. As said, XMLForest does not create elements for NULL values:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e23094/xdb13gen.htm#ADXDB5006

    If the expression value is null, then no element is created for this expression.

    This is the code I wrote your above mentioned suggestion discussion forum

    Yes, but this solution is taken out of context.
    Here, it is obviously preferable to not generate empty items in the first place:

    SELECT XMLElement("Address"
           , XMLForest(
               lr_addr_rec.account_name     as "AccountName"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_line_1   as "Addressline1"
             , lr_addr_rec.lot_number       as "Addressline1"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_city     as "City"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_state    as "State"
             , lr_addr_rec.address_postcode as "PostCode"
             )
           )
    FROM dual;

  • Problem in the evaluation of the XPath in xml using java.

    Hello

    I wrote a method to evaluate the xpath expression and returns the result in the string 'true' or 'false' or 'anyValue as in the xpath expression.

    for example:

    < k >
    < g > 1 / < g >
    < c >! / < c >
    < /k >
    < k >
    < g > 2 / < g >
    < c > # </c >
    < /k >

    < k >
    $ < c >/< c >
    < /k >

    If the xpath expression is /k [g / text () = '1'] / c/text () = "#"-the code returns false

    Similarly /k [g / text () = '1'] / c/text () ='! ' - returns true

    But in the flow of my project, we have removed the xml node that contains no data. Thus, the last < k > tag is not have < g >. then, East - wat I think

    If the xpath expression is /k [g / text () = "] / c / text () = ' $' should return true. but since there is no < g > tag, it returns false. But, by the logic of my project, g is there, but the bcz removed its null...

    Pls help me with this...

    Thank you

    The criteria for the return of true or false is not clear as the three bodies that are specific. To take account of these three cases, the xpath expression can be very restrictive in look like that. By way of illustration, I put it in a knot xsl or xsl: When, use tests, assuming the context node to be the parent of the node k.

    Because the conditions are specific, it seems inevitably awkward due to the need of the enumeration of the case-by-case basis.

  • Remove the XML node

    Dear adobe experts,

    I have a requirement to remove a node in the XML interface of a form of adobe (not only by removing a subform in the form). It must be a deletion, an empty node does not work (I read this in another post).

    The XML structure looks like this:

    < ITEM >

    < DATA >

    < ROW_IID > 0 < / ROW_IID >

    < PARENT > 0 < / PARENT >

    < CHILD > 0 < / CHILD >

    < / DATA >

    < DATA >

    < ROW_IID > 1 < / ROW_IID >

    < PARENT > 0 < / PARENT >

    < CHILD > 0 < / CHILD >

    < / DATA >

    < / ITEM >

    I want to, for example, to remove the second node of data including the underlying elements: row_iid, parent & child. Already tried: xfa.record.nodes.remove (oRemoveNode); I got it from http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/xml/Adobe_XML_Form_Object_Model_Reference.pd f and several messages in this forum, but I get the following message appears in the error console: remove failed. I know that the somexpression is correct.

    Here's the code I used to try to remove the node.

    var node_loc;

    var del_node;

    [node_loc = ' xfa.record.ELEMENT.DATA [1 '];

    del_node = xfa.resolveNode (node_loc);

    xfa.record.Nodes.Remove (del_node);

    Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    Kind regards

    Niels

    Hi Steve,.

    I fixed it myself. I adjusted my code a little, so the node, including the elements is successfully deleted.

    Here is the way that I fixed it:

    var node_loc;

    var del_node;

    [node_loc = ' xfa.record.ELEMENT.DATA [1 '];

    del_node = xfa.resolveNode (node_loc);

    xfa.record.ELEMENT.nodes.remove (del_node);

    Thanks for the help!

    Kind regards

    Niels

  • Find, edit, and remove the tag XML (Adobe InDesign Server CS5)

    Hi all

    I work with Indesign CS5 server and JavaScript, although having some difficulties to come with a solution to a problem...

    I have to build a script JS (called through SOAP) that will allow me to search for an XML tag in an InDesign file.

    After you find the XML tag, if the variable 'action' is set to remove, it should remove the tag and its content.

    If the action is set to edit, he should change the content of the tag to the user-defined content.

    The main warning is that the XML tag is variable, as is the XML of the InDesign file structure.

    Here's what I have in mind, in pseudocode:

    function findXMLTag (tag, action) {}

    app.searchForTag (tag);

    If {(tagIsFound)

    If (action == 'delete') {}

    tag. Delete;

    } Else if (action == 'edit') {}

    tag.contents = "update content";

    }

    }

    }

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Ben Kay

    'searchForTag' can be implemented as a recursive function.

    Recursion is defined as follows: I thought: "I'll just get this forum for"recursion"." The first post I found was one of my own, which suggests that the poster should search the forum for "recursion".

    Here is an example: find the XML element []

    And another: remove the xml using JS [CS3] element (read carefully, as the OP is stuck on how to remove an item and continue successfully)

    And the other using XML rules - which I am quite familiar with, but may work for you: changing values in XML tags

I can remove it with the help of the pen tool? .. other suggestions... .or pls help

    Can you put a good example of the sequence of green screen image?  It is difficult to answer without seeing what you are working with.

    You use the Ultra masking effect?

    System Preferences > mouse, and then select the tab more moves.
