  Loic thanks for your help. You helped me to be part of the solution. In the end if I was able to find a more simple solution, based on a few other scripts I dug up, which did exactly what I needed. It is not quite as elegant as it should (there no controls or alerts if the script requirements), but it does the job well enough.

  Basically, it creates just a variable for the filename and the filepath of the first chart that it finds in the document. It then uses a replacement text script to remove the name of the PDF extension and exchange the text in a text box that contains "Default Text", also adding a variable that I use earlier in the script to indicate how many PDF files have been strengthened. Finally, it saves the document in the same folder as the PDF file using the MyImagePath variable, also the number of PDFs variable by the name of file.

  Hi, hoping for help on what I think is quite a simple question.

  I want to create a single blank page PDF file that has a text field automatically and dynamically finished based on the file name of the pdf document. If I rename the pdf file in Windows Explorer to "My renamed file.pdf", when I then open the renamed "My file.pdf" file appears.

  Ideally, I'd like the script to remove the file extension and if possible to split the output on two lines based on the file name part preceding / fact following a comma in the name of the file (which she would also deprive).   Add the following JavaScript to the document level:

  Replace "fn" in the statement of getField with the name of your multiline text field. This code runs when the form is opened. If you want to be updated when the file is saved, you can also place in case the Document were spared. Note that some operating systems and other things may have a problem with a comma in the name of the file. Underscore would be a safe alternative.

  Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates).   The update uninstall method in Windows Vista is quite different from that in Windows XP.

  Uninstaller for each update folder no longer exists in Vista and the uninstall information is stored by the Volume Shadow Copy service.

  After each update, Volume Shadow Copy service backup only the updated files.

  So with Vista, it's a differential backup, rather than a full backup files for uninstall
  in Windows XP.

  This safeguard mechanism is used to save disk space.

  So basically, you are unable to manually delete the uninstall it from the computer.

  Stored procedures generally are running on the database server, so they can access only files that are visible on the database server. Unless you have a rather unconventional configuration where your server has mounted the directory of the client in question, no code that runs on the database server will be able to access the files on your client system.

  Is there a client application that runs on the computer client connection to the database server? If Yes, this client application could handle some file manipulation is necessary?

     file = name of the file to write
