Hi @DavidNH,

By your post, I see that you cannot uninstall the printer software. I can help you with this.

Clear printer spooler files and activate the Spooler Service see if this will help with printing problems, you had some.

1 press and hold the Windows Logo () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the Run dialog box type Services.msc.
2. double-click on spooler printer in the Services list.
3. click on the button stop, and then click OK.
4 hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type"%WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers, and then delete all files in this folder.
5. go to services by holding down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the Run dialog box type Services.msc again.
6 double-click on spooler printer in the Services list.
7. click on the Start button. In the Startup Type list, make sure that automatic is selected, and then click OK.

Go to the start screen, the type (menu tiles) in "Devices and printers", select settings, click devices and printers.

Right-click on any icon listed, and then click Properties in the print server on top.

Click on the driver tab, select the Laserjet Printer and click on delete.

If it is not in the list made me know.

Now try and run uninstallation again.

Thank you.

  • Remove some programs from running at startup

How can I remove some programs from running at startup? for example, Super Anti Spyware, automatically runs on startup and is listed in the lower right corner of my desk drawer, but it really slows my time to go on the internet. I only have access if necessary.

You can click on start > run > msconfig

then under the Startup tab, you will find a list of programs that launch at startup of windows.   they are activated by a check mark.

In addition, you can check the services through the services tab.

Select / check "hide microsoft services" and then what remains on the revised list are non-microsoft programs you have added to the system and are also expected to start automatically.

don't forget to click 'apply' for the changes you make and then restart to see the effects.

    Hello

    ·         What web browser do you use?

    ·         You get the error message

    Follow these steps:

    Step 1:

To disable this, the simplest method is to remove or uninstall the plugin Click-to-Call with Skype , through the Control Panel Add/Remove or uninstall function.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Step 2:

Click and call can also be disabled by disabling or removing the plugin through your

browsers manage add-ons/plugin options (actual procedure varies depending on the browser).

    Step 3:

There is a 'Rapid Product Removal Tool' from Microsoft which can be used to remove the programs that we are not able to remove it by using the functionality of the program.

  • Remove the printer?

I manage a laboratory of only about 20-30 computers. One of our printers went down then I made new printer profiles so we could double all impressions, to a single machine. I have since deleted on our server and the computer does not display the printers as being there more but Photoshop and Adobe programs are still showing them in the drop-down list. It is causing a lot of unnecessary confusion. Is there anywhere that adobe is looking for a list of printers that I can go and remove them?

You could try to go to the Page of Administration of CUPS on your Mac and see if you can delete queues additional print in there. You need go to the "Printers" tab on the right, then click on each printer, and under the popup 'Administration', there are 'delete the printer '.

Don't do this if the printer still appears in system preferences, since that will screw things, but for those who are already deleted it, but always on display upward, the CUPS admin might be what it takes to get rid of the last vestiges of these printers.

  • I can't remove the print picturesfrom queue...

I have a Photosmart C5180 all in one and a HP laptop on a wireless network.  I've had no problems so far. I can't delete two images of the print queue, so I can not print anything else, until they are deleted...  I tried all the solutions to this day in the forum, but cannot find the files listed in Windows 8.  I downloaded the file "HPPSdr", but it does not work even when I say 'yes' when it asks me. I have unplugged the printer and the laptop to power and reconnected... I looked in the Administrative Tools Control Panel and can not find... I typed in the unsuccessful print spooler... I typed Run and Net Stop Spooler nothing helps... I looked for a program and files Services.msc - nothing.  I think that Windows 8 is renamed everything and hidden it away, so we can find.  Any help anyone can give me wil greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'll give you a link to a specific document on your printer, but you almost everything he does.  The only step you did not uninstall the printer and reinstall it.  Still I recommend you read through this entire document "printer is in offline mode" since every step inside is exactly the same for the other printers that have stuck in the queue of print jobs.  I never want to do a uninstall myself thus before you make sure that your printer is always connected to the same network as your computer or you will have a hard time to re - install.

I included a video on How to uninstall a printer in Windows 8 , but it looks like you know your computer very well so you need to may not be it.  And to make sure you have everything you need, here is a link to full feature software and drivers for Photosmart c5180 on a 64-bit Windows 8 computer.  I am interested to know what is happening.
