Remove the recovery drive and drive C on the internal drive of 2 2nd

I installed a Kingston 120 GB SVP200S37A / 120G on my HP Pavilion dv7t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC with Windows 7 Professional.

I took the cable USB and case provided with my package and plugged my old hard drive of 320 GB.

Installed the SSDNow v + Series software and installed it.  At this point, I was happy to see my new Kingston 120 GB SSD and unplugged my old hard drive.

Last week, I installed my old hard drive to 320 GB in my laptop.

My current SSD is the C drive and disc HP_Recovery (D).

My old drive is Local Disk F and Local Disk G.  Can I do this in a single drive?

Is it possible for me to remove the HP_Recovery (D) drive then put it on to my second drive?

Hello

Unfortunately, the second Bay of your laptop drive isn't bootable - this is true for all of the dv7 series, so spend the recovery Partition of your SSD HARD disk will cause any recovery attempt fails.  If you want to use a player of the second span, it can only be used for extra storage.

To make the drive in the second span in a single volume, you must do the following - keep in mind that this will destroy all data on the disk.

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type compmgmt.msc , and then press ENTER.  Click disk management in the left pane and let readers load upward.

For all volumes shown on the Second disk, right-click each in turn and select "delete the Volume.  When you are finished, you should have just "unallocated space indicated.  Click on this and select Format to start the wizard.  Windows 7 will affect a Volume label so if your happy with it, just leave the default.  File system is NTFS.  Allocation unit size must be left by default.  Select the option to perform a quick format if it is not already done.  Leave all the other default settings, and then click Ok, and then Ok to start the process.

Once this done, your disk should now appear as a single volume when you look under the computer.

Kind regards

  • Satellite P10 804: how to remove the HARD drive?

I would like to remove the internal hard disk of 60 GB of my satellite P10 804 and replace it with a bigger drive, but cannot find a way to enter in the case of removing the HARD drive.

Does anyone have the details on how to do?

    Hello

To my knowledge, the HARD drive must be placed under the optical dirve.
To remove the HARD drive, first remove the battery and the optical drive, and then follow the steps below:

    1. remove the four black screws that anchor the shield of aluminum covering the HARD drive and pull it out.
    2. gently pull on the HARD drive the front panel of the computer to disconnect the system board, then pull it out.
    3. remove the four silver screws that attach the HARD drive to the HARD disk case.

But be careful. If you have no experience ask someone with more experience in these replacements.

    Hi neck!

    It's not so good news

I m not a Satellite A350 owner but if you want to remove the password you must contact an ASP and ask for help. Laptop technicians are know how to remove the password and so I think they can help you best.
On the Toshiba site, you can search an ASP:

  • Classroom in a book ch 8. Remove the buckle of the coffee cup handle

I find a way to remove the internal coffee cup loop to have the background appear through guns. It comes out as a solid image. Need help please, can't find the answer in the book or google

Oh, I think I see what you're saying.

For this you will need to subtract the area inside the Cup handle.

I found this tutorial very helpful for the use of the pen tool for design including negative space:

Create your own custom shapes for Photoshop

You will be probably be good to pick up to step 6 where they start talking by subtracting the areas within the shape.

Let me know if this helped.

  • I how to remove the recovery partition and make the entire hard drive, a recovery partition?

I have two hard drives and the two have a recovery partition. Disk 0 is disk 1 80 GB and 500 GB. I want to remove the recovery on both partition and drive 1 recovery partition. Disc 1 is much older, but I would have preferred free space on disk 0.

The "recovery Partition" in question is not a thing of Microsoft.  Ask that ever created it (the manufacturer of your computer) which will probably help you not because it's beyond their desire to do so.

I suggest you create / have external media and numbers of series/product key in another place course of the computer itself.

  • How to remove the backup files in the rescue and recovery on local drive

I need more space on my hard drive and for a year have been backup to a drive for expansion.  However, I kept the base and a backup on the local drive. I tried to remove the base backup, since it was listed in "show all the backups" on the "local" drive However, it still appears in 'show all the backups' - in the local drive.  I see now that I actually deleted the 'base' on the USB. I see no way to delete the backups in the local drive. How can I delete the backups to the local disk?

RNR does support only 1 location of target, in your case, local backup or USB.

If you change the location to the USB, it will ask "delete backups on Local.  If you say no, it will keep local backups and start on USB. View backups should ONLY list target current place of residence.  In your case, USB.  You said delete Basic, yes he deleted based on USB.

Go to the RNR, menu, advanced and post a screenshot of the view backups.  Do not use the main pane.

    (1) change the local location.  You can remove LOCAL.  Then replace location USB.

    (2) uninstall the RNR.  This will remove \RRbackups on drive C.  Replace.

The main panel (simple opinion) may use registry values to list all backups while the Advanced menu should list ONLY the target location.

  • Format HARD drive, delete the recovery partition and recover with disc

    Hello

I have a laptop Satellite C660D-17F and want to format my HDD, remove the recovery partition and recover the preinstalled Windows 7 and other software. I don't want to keep my own data, which are all stored already, I just want to be sure I can safely restore preinstalled stuff. I have a few questions that I need help to clear up before I go ahead.

Am I right in thinking the dvd recovery disc I made when I got to my laptop has all the software and drivers that I need on this subject, the same that would have the recovery partition? If I do another room to spare in now just to be sure only will they have the out-of-box default stuff: OS, software and drivers on any of my data?

I found [this post | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/items/faq/71] which explains the recovery process. If I select "Erase the hard drive" (so I can wipe my hard drive and delete the recovery partition too) what happens after that? It will restore the OS and the software for the backup of dvd drive? Will the process after that recreate a recovery partition (which I don't)?

    Added SIDENOTE:
I actually prefer to be able to choose what programs preinstalled settle after that I have format, but I'm guessing that probably isn't possible and will settle for install everything and remove what I'm after. Or is there a way?

Sorry, I know that was a long post, but I want to be sure of what will happen BEFORE I'll and spoil things! :) If you got this far, thanks for reading. :)

    Hello

I will try to offer help. ;)
    > Am I right in thinking the dvd recovery disc I made when I got to my laptop has all the software and drivers that I need on this subject, the same that would have the recovery partition?
Yes. Saved on recovery discs recovery image contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, specific Toshiba and utility tools and some additional software.
    > If I do another room to spare in now just to be sure only will they have the out-of-box default stuff: OS, software and drivers on any of my data?
Preinstalled Toshiba Recovery creator make recovery disc that includes the recovery image only. It has nothing to do with your personal data.
    > I found this post that explains the process of recovery. If I select "Erase the hard drive" (so I can wipe my hard drive and delete the recovery partition too) what happens after that?
After that, you should use recovery disks created for the recovery image installation.
    > Will the process after that recreate a recovery partition (which I don't)?
When you use the recovery disc for your laptop recovery image installation will have factory settings which include the recovery saved on the HARD disk image. To be honest I do not understand why you do not want to have this recovery image on the HARD drive. This allows the installation of recovery using recovery of HARD drive option. But of course you can delete it later for more free space on your HARD drive. Installation image that you can always use created for recovery discs-recovery DVDs.
    > I'd really rather be able to choose what programs preinstalled settle after that I have format, but I'm guessing that probably isn't possible and will settle for install everything and remove what I don't want after
    Fix.

  • Satellite U400-22z - how to remove the HARD drive recovery partition

    Hallo,

My satellite u400-22z came with a big "hdd recovery" folder on the drive hard - yes I know what it does.
but the unbearably awful version of windows vista that came with the machine made me decide that, in the event of failure of the system, I'm still will not install this failure of the attempt of an operating system.
So I do not have these data recovery.

So those ~ 11 GB of junk sitting on my drive is bugging me, I can't delete the folder HDDRecovery, it is somehow protected against deletion.

How can I work around that?

Also, is it safe or can I make it safe, to use the small apparently hidden partition (that's recovery also?) I found, which is IIRC ~ 2 GB or larger, for own purposes, without destroying my current installation of windows?

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Hello

If you have a recovery disk and you do not want to store the folder in hard drive hard disk recovery, you can remove it.

    > I can't remove the folder HDDRecovery, it is somehow protected against deletion.

Remove you it as you always do to remove all files on your system.

  • Remove the HARD drive recovery Partition

    Hello

Does anyone know how to remove the recovery Partition HDD? I don't have any use for it as I repeated it CD, as well as images of partition stored on a network drive. I want that space to put a current image of my C: drive, rather than the initial installation.

When I go to delete a partition or volume I get the errors. Resizing my computer laptop completely bombs with Paragon Disk Manager and I have to reinstall all partitions! Removing sub Vista it says volume is in use and delete may cause unexpected errors.

If you really want to remove it, you might try Acronis Disk Director Suite. I never had any problems with it. A very good program.

Furthermore, I think you mean that the Windows recovery environment and that s not a feature of Toshiba.
Toshiba Recovery is only stored in a folder called HDDRecovery. It s not on a hidden partition.

However, this good article is maybe interesting for you:

  • How to display ONLY the photos on my hard drive and remove the duplicates it.

I bought Photo Sweeper but have heard warnings of ' reference fileis and the risk of the original photo, sitting on the hard drive.  .  Is there a way to see ONLY photos on the hard drive and use Photo Sweeper here?

Background: on my HP PC for years, I've created folders for each Member of our family.  Thus, a paper copy of each group photo were regularly filed in each issue of people pictured in it.  Migration to iPhoto and iMac five years ago, all copies of the same photo were transferred on my Mac.  More recently, I've migrated my iPhotos library of Photos.  I would like to clarify these multiple copies to a hard copy, but I feel of the complications and risks. In particular, the integrity of all the projects I did (for example attach a photo to the album, a book or a slide show) could be compromised if I happen to remove the copy special paper which refers to this picture (the correct term?).

It seems to me that, if I could see the actual photos on the hard drive and use the double Finder here, I could get the job done.  I could combine that info (faces, keywords, descriptions) that I added on a large number of copies and sign him for a single copy and then to eliminate duplicates. Would this work?   Back to a project, I could see a photo with a warning icon, a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside, which indicates the hard drive file to which he referred is now defunct.  I could (I guess I could, but how!) change things to make this photo point to rest a copy on the hard disk, couldn't I?

Tips appreciated.  The notice are maybe just don't not to alter my photo library, but it says that I have almost 30 000 photos. I know this isn't so.   Thank you.

    Your question is not clear

What Version of the operating system and Photos you have? You have a referenced library or a managed library? What specific "warnings" topic referenced b = files you are?

Please explain what you have and what is your concern

  • U430 power and key flashes after removing the hard drive

    Hello world

I just bought a U430 touch and try to put in an (Sandisk Ultra Plus 256 GB) SSD.

I followed the instructions on how to open the lid and remove the hard drive as described in the maintenance manual. I created a USB startup disk and changed the order of boot from USB. But when I try to press the Novo key to then proceed with the installation of Windows, the power light and keyboard just begins to Flash slowly. I tried it turn instead to use the Novo key and the same thing happens.

I tried to do it with and without the key USB is plugged. I also then put the old hard drive and put the top back on and he always does. I thought maybe that just means that it is in mode 'sleep' but by pressing the power or by pressing the keys does not help.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you.

Pretty beast feeling right now. The memory seemed to bottom, but it wasn't.
