Remove the rom BIOS password

HI - you can help me how to access my hp mini computer without typing the password in the rom Bios. Every time I turn it on, I type the password e9lo7gq79g. There is no way I can remove it or the display to which I would like to have the password. Thank you

@ABCDEF1

You can remove the need for a power on password as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the start menu, then select f10 to open the Bios menu.

Use the arrows to select the Security tab and press ENTER.  Use the arrow keys again to highlight the power on password and press ENTER.  Enter the current password ( e9lo7gq79g ) and then for the new password, just leave this field blank and click on enter - do the same for the confirmation field.  Press f10, select this option to save the new settings and press to enter.

Kind regards

DP - K

    > After removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
I know it may seem silly now, but I never heard of something like that. I use laptop for a long time and I had the experience with many others and strange question, but something like that, never.

Problem is that we are dealing here in the public forum and BIOS password is a very sensitive area and very important security feature, so we can not write here about some illegal ways how you can remove the BIOS password.

If there is no way to start your laptop, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
    I'm sorry. :(

  • Satellite U400 - how to remove the HARD drive password?

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite U400-PSU40E. I put the HARD drive password to test this optoins in BIOS. It woks fine. After that, I remove the HDD password, but when BONES start to start the fist show me black sreen with password and when push enter Os start at startup.

How to remove this black screen (password disk HARD is clear) before you set a password it is not this black screen?

    Hi iliyan_84,

You only set the HARD drive password or another password too?
Normally the HARD drive password can be removed in the BIOS. Therefore, to set a new password and don't enter all the keys. Just press the Enter key to leave the new password disk HARD vacuum box.

Try to also load default settings in the BIOS and if it doesn't work, you must update the BIOS. You can find the latest version on the official website of Toshiba.

  • How to remove the HARD drive password?

Password, turn on your drive. I know, but cannot remove the password.
How can I remove HDD password?

    I'm here with the solution...

    1. the HARD drive password can be removed by using security help.

2 using the BIOS CONFIGURATION go to the HARD drive password section which should appear as follows:
    HARD drive password
HARD = built-in HARD disk drive
HARD drive password mode = USER only
    Registered = user password

3 tab in the "User password" field and just enter the old password and then a new twice (once to check) as you normally would. If you don't want a password, simply press "enter" twice

    * Or try this: *.

    Enter the BIOS
arrow to the "Registered" field HARD drive password
    Press
Enter the existing password and then
Enter the new password (or leave it empty if you n t want one no matter what password), then
Meet confirm retype the new password (or leave blank (see above) then)

    That's all...

  • Satellite L850D - 12 p - the rider on the own BIOS password

    Hi all.

I was given a laptop by a parent and I would use it but for the moment can not.

To be honest, the reason that this has been given to me was that there is a password that they have forgotten and even mentioned that the laptop is mine, but I have to have the password removed the bios boot somehow.

I've seen many mentions of the B500 rider in Google but I can not find these on this laptop. No, unless they are hidden pretty well.

There are at least under the removable cover only, memory, CMOS battery and HARD drive.

I had the battery, HDD, RAM and portable removed and left alone for a week. This resulted in nothing.

Is - this laptop has a clear CMOS jumper at all? Anyone know what is her name?

    Laptop model is by Satellite L850D - 12 p.

    Thank you very much.

    Albert

    Hi Albert

Please don't get me wrong, but we cannot start such things on the public forum of Toshiba.
BIOS password is very important security feature. As far as I know Toshiba uses several techniques for BIOS password removal. One that is used on your computer does not for me so I can't help you with this.

Point is that many users protect machines clean and backed up data with this password. When we are discussing here on this subject and maybe offer detailed how do to remove the BIOS password each laptop stolen could be unlocked.

BIOS password removal just contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

This time, when I took my customer's computer everything he had put on his computer was the fingerscroll / password to connect to the account, there was no protection of password on hard disc tray.
I brought it back to the shop, she booted up and immediately, I wonder a password to unlock the drive.
Somehow, the hard drive has developed a password.

    (1) is there a possible problem with the hard drive?
    (2) at - it a solution without having to wipe the hard drive
    (3) Toshiba has tools or the default password that would unlock it

The hard drive is a Toshiba MK6034GSX 80 GB.

    Any help please?

    Hello

The HARD drive password can be removed ONLY if the old password would be known to you.
If the HARD drive password is not known to you then you will not be able to delete
In this case, the HARD drive is blocked and is no longer usable.

They got a working laptop again? No one can say.

You are really funny to type cuban_cigar. And you are telling stories. But I want some of your stories were real and not made up from thin air.

You posted links to the son how to get rid of the BIOS password ok that nice, but it would be nice if you had read EACH case before posting something like this. In most cases, the user has lost the password!

I've got three different models of Toshiba laptops and set to update the BIOS on all laptops.
Never ever had a BIOS password problem!

I'm agree with Akuma and possibly that a single mobile model may be affected by unknown BIOS password problem.
I noticed an assignment abut M70, but it seems that the ASP took free and new update of the BIOS should help.

I also read in other forums that something like this happens also on mobile phones from OTHER manufacturers.
So in your case, I would be very careful with some things that are not known to you or not really clearly for you because you confuse others here in the forum.

  • Satellite L40-A993 - what is the Toshiba BIOS password?

Yesterday, I left my laptop in mode 'sleep' after work. When I started today morning, he prayed for the password. I never set a password for BIOS and never changed no settings. Currently, its not booting.

Just after ignition, screen opens with "Enter password".
I tried to check online, but I got no idea. Can anyone suggest how to fix it?

    Hello Abreu

AFAIK the system settings like BIOS password cannot be addressed only and configuration of the password must be entered twice (password confirmation).
    Has anyone access your machine?

I'm afraid that someone put the password on your computer without your knowledge.

  • How can I reset the Setup/BIOS password?

Yesterday, I bought a used HP Pavilion a1640n Media Center Edition for my granddaughter. I wanted to go through the installation and make sure that everything has been updated and looked good but when I went into the Setup program it asked me password.  The kid, I bought could not remember ever put a.  It has been upgraded to Windows 7 - it works beautifully I might add - and somewhere along the way someone put a password during the installation.
