Repair of window Vista - problem starting - stuck scrolling bar load

Hello

Looking for assistance here, if anyone can help, I have a laptop LG R410, age two months running windows vista basic 32-bit.

Laptop used to start and rest the scroll bar loading.  Tried through 'F8' menu to start in "Safe Mode", but wont even boot into Safe Mode, is the last driver loaded:

Windows system32 drivers crcdisk.sys

Also, tried "last good configuration" but nothing is.

Try to repair windows with the repair disk. but no joy once again, by looking at the details of the diagnosis and repair, it shows repair stalled when the event log diagnostic testing.  It will not accomplish this test, even after leaving during the night.

Also tried to go back to a restore point, but because it is new, it doesn't show any restore points that were to restore the system back.

No backup available or go to restore.

Memory Diagnostic test has been successful.

Ran sfc/scannow to command prompt, is back with "start scanning system.  This process will take time. "A few seconds later says"Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation. »

A ran Chkdsk C: /f so none of the bad sectors on the hard disk.  Summary says "Windows has checked the file system and found no problem."  But return the following message at the end summary "cannot transfer messages saved in the journal of the events with the 50 State."

Any help to help solve my problem would be appreciated gratefully.

Thank you.

Hi Ashish,

Thanks for responding.

Problem solved, or not!  Hard drive is damaged.  As a result of tests with checkdisk and knowing that he is not really do a thorough job.  I checked the hard drive once more with 'SeaTools' of Seagate.

The hard drive is riddled with bad sectors.  Filed in support of Service today and they confirmed the hard drive is faulty and they will replace it under warranty.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question in the first place.

All the best to you and the team at Microsoft.

Kind regards

Scott Connoilly

    What exactly happens on your laptop? You can start Windows?

    I think the article MS says it all: to repair Windows you need a disc of Microsoft Vista.

    Alternatives to reinstall the entire system use the Toshiba recovery disc that contains a picture of the factory settings. Have you created this disk?

  • Windows Vista will not go past the loading screen

    Hey - last night my computer was working fine, I had nothing to open and was watching television, then we had a power cut, I thought everything was fine. But when I went to turn my computer on this morning he gets just stuck at the loading screen (the one with the green bars). I have tried reboot, unplug the unit and system repair, the windows vista startup disk, just. When I put in the disc, it does something together press button as I do, then it loads the files then goes back right screen loading with green bars, he done the same for any route I'm trying. I could use the help because the computer has very important files that I can't afford to lose.

    Thank you

    Try and back up your data:

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    Good luck with it.
    Cheer.
  • Problem with the scroll bar doesn't work is not on the computer.
    I've recently updated to Windows 8, and now the scroll bar on the right side of my touchpad is not scrolling.  I have an Acer computer.  Can someone help me solve this problem?
    You may be able to get this feature back by getting Windows 8 drivers for your touchpad.
    Go to the Acer website and search your computer model and see if there are drivers of Windows 8.
    See if there is a touchpad drivers listed for your computer.
    Click to download, select run and follow the instructions that the Installer gives.
    I hope you find the driver you need.
    You can see other drivers for your computer too while you're there. The drivers from the manufacturer works usually better than Windows comes with that.
  • How do you start the scroll bar down on the loading of the page?
    I have a div that extracts data from a database.
    A person types a message, he published on the SQL database and the div pulls the message from the database. When the page reloads the new message is at the bottom of the div box and refill the scroll bars starts up on the page, and you need to scroll down to see the new message.
    It is a real pain and not very friendly. I'm either looking for a way to start the scroll bar to the position of on loading the page, or a much better way to do it. Maybe like an auto-scroll, or something.
    I'll go ahead and you give correct answer about this. These things can work very well, but I found a way to put the last message at the top instead of bottom.
    SELECT the column OF database ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 20
  • Windows (vista) could start even in safe mode. disk repair and system restore do nothing. all comes back to the same error screen
    Windows Boot Manager
    Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To solve the problem:
    1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. choose your language settings, and then click "next".
    3. click on "repair your computer".
    If you do not have the disk, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
    File: \Windows\system32\config\system
    Status: 0 x 0000225
    Info: Windows could not load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt.
    Enter = continue or esc = exit
    I put in the repair disk and need to "select" system none were so I click Next and let it run for the night, about 12 hours later the blue progress bar was still in progress on the same window so I guess it doesn't work anymore. I would like to reinstall windows, but I can't drive to format...
    Go into the BIOS
    Then look for boot options, or boot order
    Change the boot order to boot from the CD / DVD rom (i.e. does not start from the HD, boot from the cd to install disks).
    Now you can do a full reinstall but that your last resort.
  • Recovery of Windows Vista problem for my Satellite A200 - 10 X
    My computer was working OK. To speed it up, I decided to reformat the hard disk using the recovery DVD provided by Toshiba. Recovery failed. I tried several ways but keep having the same problem, i.e. the process is going in a loop.
    What happens can be summarized as follows: when I turn on the computer using the DVD in the drive for recovery disk, the computer by loading windows files and then formats the hard drive, but stop about 18 percent through the State. Every time that happens the problem starts (X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe) at ImageX Tools for Windows; and mentions that Files\Toshiba\HD2Go\sea160s_HD.wmv c: Program... WimCopyF ileEx failed. Other errors are: error restore image. The drive is not ready; and ERROR: ImageX would not apply VISTA E:\05006XSP.swm 2 of ODD Index to C:\. ; Press a key... And the screen turns white. There is another window of the screen when i to this happens, who says the administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe open in the BACK. After closing this window of the screen empties and the computer for everything in then opens in a Windows boot manager called window and said that windows could not start, winload could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged.
    If I try to boot from HARD drive recovery, there is no success. I tried turning on the computer while pressing C, or pressing 0 (zero) or F8, but without success. I can't go to the page where I can repair the HARD drive as described in the user manual.
    I even tried to load an older version of XP, which has loaded but would not recognize the USBs, or sounds or a DVD player, etc.
    Help, please.
  • Windows Vista problem... Help!
    I recently had an automatic update install and reboot (sort of), but when the computer went to restart the operating system starts, so I have no idea of what is happening with my computer. So can someone please help me with my problem
    Restore point:
    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

    As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

    As your falls into the above category: download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista repair disc.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    There is not a disk of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    See you soon.
