I cannot restore from a backup and don't know why.
I have a Crucial SSD of BX100 in my mid 2010 MacBook Pro. It is divided into two partitions. I got Snow Leopard on a partition and Yosemite on the other. For some reason any I've never understood the Snow Leopard guarded beachballing partition. This happened if often that I decided to wipe the disk and reinstall from my backup, do it before the beachballing began to occur.
But I can't restore. I wiped the drive of a Snow Leopard system, repaired and reformatted. The drive is not Core Storage, this is Mac OS extended (journaled). When I try to restore the restore on it works for about two minutes and then stops. Finally, I get a message saying that the disc has been ejected incorrectly.
I noticed that when I receive information on the drive, an element appears different from other readers and which corresponds to the element, owners enabled: no each other drive I've seen says owners enabled: Yes. Is it all just because there is no system on the partition?
Also "ignore ownership on this Volume" must be checked or unchecked?
Suggestions welcomed, I am baffled by this.
Snow Leopard erase and install
- Insert the Snow Leopard DVD in the optical drive and restart the computer.
- Immediately after hearing the chime hold down the C key.
- Release the button when the Apple logo appears and wait for loading to complete.
- After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the continue button. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu. After disk utility charges select the entry out-bumpy in the list aside (mfgr. size ID and disc drive.) In the right side of the disk utility window, click the Partition tab. Set the number of sheets to (1) on the menu drop down. Click the Options button and select GUID, click on OK, the value of the Mac OS Extended journaled format type. Finally, click on the apply button.
- Once the format is complete, quit disk utility. Continue with the installation of OS X and follow the directions.
- Once installation is complete, the computer will restart in the installation wizard. After completing the Setup Wizard, you will use a new installation of Snow Leopard. Open the software update and install updates recommended.
- If you plan to sell or to give to your remote computer, then proceed as follows: once you reformat your hard disk and reinstall Snow Leopard, the computer restarts with a welcome screen. To leave the Mac in a State OOTB (Out Of The Box), do not continue with the Setup program. Instead, press the command and Q keys to stop the computer. The installation wizard will guide you the new owner through the installation procedure, after that it turns on the computer.
- Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 v1.1 updated Combo. If necessary. It is not necessary if you are selling or giving your computer away.

I get this message every time I try to run the Windows backup utility. All the services are rundning according to the instructions of Microsoft experts on the same issue.
Original title: the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices is associated to him. (0 x 80070422)
Hi Charles,
Welcome to the community Microsoft and thanks for posting the question. I'll certainly try and help you perform the backup.
Until we start could you give us some more information?
1. Since when are you facing the issue?
2. you have any anti-virus installed on the computer program?
3. What are the troubleshooting steps correct you have taken to correct the problem?
4. are you aware of any changes made to the computer before the show?
I suggest you to re check the service as long as this error usually occurs if one of the services required for the backup Windows for work is disabled or has not started.
To check the services, click Start, in the Start Search bar type services , and then press enter.
Please check that the following services are enabled:
-"Remote Procedure Call" (RPCSS) must be active, Automatic.
'COM + Event System"(System events) must beactivated en, Manuel.
-'System Event Notification Service"(SENSE) must be active, Automatic.
-"Volume Shadow Copy" (VSS) must beactivated en, Manuel.
'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider' (SWPRV) must beactivated en, Manuel.
Once you make changes according to the above specifications, you can try a backup and check to see if that solves the problem.
I also suggest you to run a SFC scan (System File Checker). This will replace the corrupted Windows files.
Here are a few articles on Windows backup.

The SSTP service cannot be started
I am trying to share a connection, but cannot start service ICS - error 1068 - the dependency service or group was able to start. I followed the dependencies and the failing service was Manager of remote access connections. He is unable to start because the SSTP service cannot be started. When I try to manually start the SSTP Protocol it gives me a message "Socket Tunneling Protocol Secure Service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"I changed the startup type to automatic, but nothing helped. My Windows is build 7600 with all updates applied. My computer configuration is C2Q 6600, Asus P5QL Pro, nV 9600GT, 2x2gb Apacer.
EDIT: I followed this guide by removing dependence on SSTP but now it gives me error 87 - incorrect setting instead of 1068.
So finally I solved my problem! I removed the RasMan (Remote Access Connection Manager) of the ICS service dependency and therefore probably broke support VPN and Dial-up . Here is the solution for those who have the same problem. Everything you do is your own responsibility!
Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type Regedit . Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\ then right-click SharedAccess, and choose export . Save the file, so you have a backup if you want to restore the settings the easy way. Now open SharedAccess, double-click DependOnService , and remove the entry RasMan . Restart the computer and now ICS works perfectly. Make this "tweak" will probably break the VPN and Dial-up support!

iPhone 6s more stuck in the mode of the brick after downloading ios10. Cannot restore via iTunes. error 3014
After the update to ios10, my 5s iPhone seems to work very well. I reconnected it to iTunes and then it bricked, and I panicked.
iTunes synced a couple of times, it took about an hour and a half for me. After that it stopped its cycle of synchronization, I unplugged my iPhone - it still bricked. I then did a hard reset and it worked.
Maybe I got lucky, maybe my iPhone and iTunes need a kick in their buttocks.
