Repeated reminder to the updates already installed.
I get the reminder icon in the lower right corner of my PC to install updates that alreay have been installed.
Hi, Susan. Sorry to interrupt you in this thread, but:
1. I went through all the screens to get assistance from the Web site for a similar problem and it says that I need to cough-up $239.
2. the fix that I have a problem is KB2707511. It installed fine everywhere but on this domain controller. Said it was successful, but retains his return regardless of whether if I use WSUS 3.0 or Windows Update or manual install the hotfix. It doesn't matter whether I'm in safe mode. I ran the fix - it for these types of programs in normal mode and "intensive." It does not help. In fact, I did all the steps mentioned in 910339. All other patches are very good (just a patch on this server).
OS = Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2 (32-bit) with all patches (including this one). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, too.
There are another two or three son there, on this issue. A "seems" have been fixed by the fix - it. Others, no. I have logs.

Win 7 updates - telling me to restart, but the updates already installed
I just received and updates installed five, restarted the PC as requested and the spectacle of updates installed successfully.
However, if I go into the Panel. System and security | Windows Update, it tells me that I have to restart to install the important updates [another win by 10, I have no traffic].
Reboot does not erase this message nor can I run a check of updates because (allegedly) I have to restart to complete the installation of updates...

Can Vista - I save the updates already installed for the reinstallation of Vista?
I want to completely reinstall my computer - destructive recovery or something, I think it is called. Can I record the existing updates on a disc or flash drive, so I have to download all over again? There are about 600 MB of them, so I wouldn't have to download them again.
PS - I've just seen that it is a forum for Win 7? I'm on Vista, not Win 7. Thank you.

Sorry for the long question. The issue is that totally impossible to install Firefox 9.0.1, so it can be used by the two user accounts on this desktop computer. I tried several times to download the update and install when running the second user account. It does not seem to install - page 'About' Watch 'Apply Update' - which then seems to do nothing. When I go to the primary account user Firefox is fully installed and functional.
If files have already been downloaded, then delete the files in the folder of updates\0 and updates or you need to run Firefox once as administrator on each account where the files for the update has been downloaded.
You can also remove active - update.xml, or even updates.xml (stores the history of update).- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Update works not properly)
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
The "Application Data" in XP/Win2K folder and the folder "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

* Original title: look for the updates ms7
My update screen shows the last control updates has been 14.6.16 to the 08.01 and the update to install has been KB3035583 on 25.5.16 to 23.02. Since 14 June I repeatedly ran checks the updates, but these controls are never successful as never - end research I just saw the "check updates" message, but the check never ends. Why is this?
The Windows Update client cannot manage a KB3161664. Download and install it manually in advance. Links provided here:

I'm not an administrator in a company, just a user and I tired to see popups to update Adobe, Java and other software that is installed on this system that I can't do anything about.
Is there a way to enable updates of software already installed to install with out always have to have people as administrator login? as at the end of the day when windows push through an update to the stop?
original title: automatic updates
Adobe has a check box to enable the automatic update in the window of the first or the second update.
In the settings of Windows updates, you can set Windows updates to allow all users to install updates Windows and install to automatically when they are available. You can also set it to just warn you when updates are available so that you can download and install it at a convenient time.
Java has some settings, but I cannot verify this machine because I have not installed. Check this program, C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javacpl.exe to the Java updates whenever you want.
Try right click on the shortcut to the program, javacpl.exe and option by selecting "Run as Administrator"? Perform, even if your user name is an administrator. You should see if all is well then the tab Update and various parameters to play with.

Hello
I recently updated my Windows 10 computer with clean install. I want to install all my software again, but I'm not able to install all my products from adobe. When I try to enter in the serienumber it is said that this is not a valid number. Would it be possible that because I already installed it on my previous version of windows I get this error now? And what is the solution to this?
And is it not a little ridiculous that you can't perform a clean install and reinstall your purchased software?
Thanks for the help!
Best regards

MS automatically failed the updates to install, whenever I turn on the computer.
For the seven days were impossible to install automatic updates at the start of my new computer (10 months) Windows 7. Having correctly installed until last week.
You receive errors related to updates?
- Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
- In the left pane, click view update history.
- Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update. - In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

Whenever my computer updates and installs KB982110 and KB2272691 my user profile is deleted and I find uninstall? Are these really necessary updates and is it possible to get these updates without user being deleted my profile?
Hi hunneebun,
These mentioned updates are released to fix application compatibility issues. It may or may not be important depending on the types of applications you have installed. However, you can try the following steps and check if they help install the updates without any problem.Step 1:Disable all security software temporarily and try to install the updates.Disable the anti-virus software
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-softwareFirewall: Frequently asked questions
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/firewall-frequently-asked-questionsNote: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Step 2:You can place your computer in a clean boot State and install the standalone updates below.Note: follow step 7 to your computer as usual.Stand alone package.See also:

I have Windows XP, home edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and if it helps any microsoft/system32. The security update (KB2481109) still fails to install with error Code: 0x8007F0F4. [Solved] After the update is installed, I can not do anything with Vista.
Hi, first time posting here. I recently installed an update, I don't know the name of it, but its screwed my PC everything its a HP laptop with Windows Home Premium64 bits cpu. First of all, when it restarted, and I logged, the taskbar has been pale white. I tried to get back to it, but it is the default. So no luck there. Sortly after that, the computer crashed while conducting. It was a memory dump while conducting. Then restarted. And nothing has changed. Still crashed. Unfortunately, I do not have a restore disc. And I can't restore it, which I've tried to do. And the computer crashed the second time by. Now, I am forced to use the "RECOVERY" Partition that comes with the computer. His support still up to this time. So I decided to see if someone can help me here. Any help would be great!
Summary* Cannot restore* Do not have a restore disc* Blue Screen appears after 3 to 5 minutes of logging* Taskbar is white, pale style XP.* Forced backup and restore with HP "recovery Partition".Thanks in advanced for any help.Hello
Did you use the F11 key to launch the recovery?
Which starts the HP back to factory settings recovery.
Which reinstalls Vista, back to the way you bought it.
It is the process of HP:
Recover Windows Vista operating system using HP Recovery
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c00809678&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=18703
Here are the options that you are currently using (you cannot use each of them as it does not start)
If you reinstall, there is little we can do for you.
See you soon.

I recently installed a new antivirus protection software, now at any time, I try to run a program he's asking me what program I want to use to run it, even for already installed programs. For IE, firefox, etc, it's simple, but when I try to adjust the volume of the system through Control Panel he asks me what program I want to use it to run only and I can not. Any ideas how to solve this problem?
Look at the article on execution of .exe files.
Article number: 950505 - when you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505You can make the default program using set Associations.
1. open default programs by clicking the Start button, click default programs.
2. click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program.
3. click on the file type or protocol that you want the program to act as the default value. (In this case it will be for .exe files).
4. click on the change agenda.
5. click on the program that you want to use by default for the selected file type, or click the arrow next to other programs to show other programs.
6. (if you don't see other programs or your program is not listed, click Browse to find the program you want to use, and then click Open. If no other programs are installed that are able to open the type of file or Protocol, your choice will be limited.)
7. click on OK.You can also look at the information here: restore the .exe Windows Vista file association, after badly with another application
http://www.Winhelponline.com/articles/165/1/restore-the-exe-file-association-in-Windows-Vista-after-incorrectly-associating-it-with-another-application.htmlThank you
