Replace the DIMM on a Perc 6 / i controller?

I have a poweredge T410 server a PERC 6 / i adapter.  I just replaced the Perc battery and noticed in the open Management Console error 2320 shows (once).  Before her, 2319 error showed twice.  2320 error reads:

«Error single-bit ECC.» The controller DIMM is severely degraded. ': controller 0 (PERC 6 / i adapter).

The recommended action is to replace the DIMM PERC... I looked in the hardware guide and searched online, I even see one bar of MEMORY on this controller... the PERC 6/e he seems a strip of MEMORY, but not the 6 / I.  I popped open an another T410 we have who has the same PERC card, and there is no DIMM I can see on the PERC card.  In addition, there is no showing of OMC warning, just the error recorded... can someone point me to where I might find this DIMM to replace?  A guide tutorial or replacement would be great... the hardware guide doesn't even mention PERC dimm for this controller.  Is there really an imminent threat of data corruption of this?  What I read only ECC errors usually correct themselves and are not that big of a deal.

Not all cards have a removable MEMORY card. Of course, those with embedded chips should any of the replaced card:

  • replace the RAM, the need to activate Windows 7 OEM new will affect Media Center DRM?

    Title says it all.

In order to avoid BSOD that * could * be linked to the RAM, I replace two DIMMs with a different model.  When I swapped the locations for the original DIMMs, I received a message stating that the material had changed and I had to re-activate Windows.  That's happened.
I am now assuming that completely change the RAM will trigger the message "hardware changes took place.  I use this PC as an HTPC with a Ceton InfiniTV 4 tuner card, and I have a lot of copy - once programs and films recording.  I don't want to lose the ability to play them.
My guess is that the reactivation will not affect the DRM.  It does not seem to have done with the recent reactivation. It's not like it's a new motherboard or system disk, but I would be sure.
    Thank you.

    (1) change of RAM only is unlikely to trigger an activation request - although if other materials also has changes in the recent past, he can do.

    (2) activation and DRM are totally different things, and should not affect the other.

  • Is it possible to replace the hard drive with an SSD? or would it be too expensive?

Is it possible to replace the hard drive with an SSD?

or would it be too expensive?

Yes.  There are several alternatives.  I found a way relatively inexpensive, using a map of mSATA (very small SSD) and an adapter to connect it to the connector IDE 44 pin internal of my PowerBook.  It works very well.  Rather than repeat what I posted previously, you can watch these two topics (which also has good info, other users)

FYI - I have used the adapter is even cheaper now

  • Mac Book Pro is not too hot.  It is time to replace the battery?  Can I replace the battery?

MacBookPro is not too hot.  It's time to change the battery?  Can I do it myself?

The Mac runs his fans in a feedback loop, based of the internal temperature measured.

If the temperature goes up and the fans are not speed up to compensate, you probably have a hardware problem.

If the Mac becomes too hot, it will make an uncontrolled emergency power off.

EDIT: Replacing the battery is a completely separable question not related to temperature. Is the Samsung phone batteries that catch fire, not Mac.

  • Apple cannot replace the housing/casing of my iPhone?

I have a 6 s iPhone, and have a mobile phone plan that allows me to level to halfway through my 24-month plan, also for a long time my camera has extremely minimal Exteriors/Interiors damage. And currently I have scratches and bumps on the housing/casing of my phone and I was wondering if Apple can replace the casing/housing and how much it would cost?

Apple does not replace the metal casing of the phone. If the phone is damaged and does not, they will allow to make a release of purchase of the warranty, as damage to the housing would be damage user, not covered by the warranty. However, if the device is functioning correctly, Apple generally will not allow an out of warranty replacement for purely aesthetic problems.

  • I would like to know how to remove a video that replaces the logo of firefox on my site because I don't want to see it.

I'm not a web programmer and just wish that the video that Firefox has superimposed instead of their usual logo on my homepage of the browser would leave. It seems that every time I access the Web page, replacing the simple logo. I don't want to continue to see the image in place of the logo. Is it possible that I can safely remove the overlay of video image shows two women of my homepage or have Firefox remove? I haven't watched the video and do not want to look at it, there is no point to make here. I like to keep my navigation very simple and clean interface. My computer is an old Dell PC running Windows 7 Professional, I think 32-bit.

    Thank you!

The best way to get around that is just to create your own home page and do not use the 'default' on: homepage.
See - How to set the home page

You can use this UserStyle - https://userstyles.org/styles/104673/about-home-hide-snippets-and-hide-brand-logo - to hide the two sections of the about: home page House that Mozilla sends messages and videos when they feel the "need".

Many of us have disabled the changes made to the top [brandLogo part] of the Start Page of Firefox and off advertising "excerpts" [under the reservoir of research] that Mozilla uses all the time now, so we don't see this "thing".

If you feel adventurous, here's how to 'fix '.
Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Accept the message of 'dragons' to see the Advanced preferences screen. Use the search box at the top to enter the below pref.

You can assign an empty string to stop your Firefox to retrieve "extracts" and brandLogo changes the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref. Right-click this pref and select Edit then clear the value as pref in the box that appears, and then click OK. Who will also disable "snippets" that appear under the container of the research on the default home page.

Then you must open the folder of your profile, via help > Troubleshooting Information > profile folder > > folder view button. Then close Firefox.
Your profile file open with Firefox closed (Firefox '3-bar' menu key > exit/Quit), wait two minutes, then remove the storage\moz-safe-about + House folder in the profile folder of Firefox to remove the brandLogo and stored in IndexedDB code snippets to make Firefox use the default brandLogo and a defined default code snippet.

Restart Firefox for these changes to take effect.

If you later change your mind about these changes, you can reset the pref browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl via the context menu and Reset to retrieve the default to start to use the storage\moz-chest-fort-about + House record once again.

  • Replace the bookmarks with bookmarks Safai

I want to completely replace the Firefox bookmarks (15.01) existing by Safari (7.13). I exporten safari in HTML format, but Firefox does not allow me to restore from the file.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you.

I think you can remove the existing bookmarks in bulk using the dialog library ("show all bookmarks"). In the left column, select the bookmarks Menu, then on the right, select all and either right click > delete or press Delete on the keyboard.

  • Blue screen in decline after replacing the screen

I got my iPhone 6plus screen replaced at an apple store, earlier this week, and now a random regression a blue screen appears from the top of the screen and goes up and down, disappears, then pops up. Meanwhile, the screen is not sensitive to the touch, but when it stops and I double finger restart my phone several times, it works perfectly fine, then at random again. I've already set up another appointment on the apple store. What is an internal error and apple will charge me to fix this?

It's either a problem with the screen replacement and Apple will not charge your for this or there is also damage to the logic board and you need to replace the entire phone. There will be an extra charge for this.

  • Replaced the cable. Now, the screen does not work. What could be?

The cable coming out of the back of my monitor Apple Thunderbolt Display is fraying. I decided that rather than risk a short at a certain point, I preemptively replace the cable. On iFixit teardown photos, I decided to replace the cable coming out of the back of the screen myself instead of paying almost $200 to get an Apple service provider to do that here in Bangkok. Bought the cable on AliExpress for $12. It replaced. And... no dice. Screen has not come.

    My setup

    [MacBook Air]-[Thunderbolt Display]-[drive Thunderbolt]-[Cinema Display]

with a key USB drive and Ethernet connected to the back of the Thunderbolt display

    Already tried this

    • First impressions were that the cable was defective. But then I noticed Ethernet came the USB has been mounted, Thunderbolt was mounted drive and after a reboot, the movie screen come also. Obviously, the cable has been working very well.
    • Second thought was that I'd neglected to plug some cables that connect the LCD to the main logic board. I checked. Seemed fine.
    • Third was maybe the serial number of the cable was somehow connected to the main logic board. So I put the old cable. Still no screen.
    • Tried to connect the screen with a Thunderbolt external cable, everything worked as well but still no image on the screen.
    • Tried more than 30 seconds and 3 hours disconnected as a "reset" of the screen. No change.
    • Restarted my laptop. No change.
    • Thunderbolt Display well plugged the drive and then into the MacBook, so change the sequence of the devices. No change.
    • Information reports under "Thunderbolt" the entire chain of devices, but under "Graphics/displays" system displays only the internal screen and Cinema Display.
    • Using the newly purchased cable as a Thunderbolt external cable works fine too.

    Question

Does anyone have suggestions on what to try next?

The logic card goes into a sort of locked mode when you replace the cable?

Is there more than 3 flat cables connection + connection to the land between the Panel and main Board?

Although there is no reason to think that this has been, how to test LCD screen still work given all these flat cable connectors?

Note: There is no Apple here store.  Apple authorized service providers are without help. He suggested to replace the cable and the Panel at a cost that is almost the same as the purchase of a new screen.

Some of the cables that connect the LCD to the main logic board, are very short. Careful lifting the LCD, because it will go away with strength cables once that raise you it more than 2 to 3 inches on the side of the camera module.

The shorter cable of all is the LVDS cable. A short cable with gold plated connector. Although I have had reconnected the cable on the side of the logic board, I had wrongly assumed that the other end of the cable was stayed connected because all the band used on. Someone with experience of fixing these things said of his town for this cable to unravel by force and to be sure to check both ends of the cable. When I peeled back the tape, I found that he had indeed been disconnected. Reconnect, fiddling with the tiny workspace to get the logical side of Board of Directors of what properly fixed cable again and we were back in business.

Apple authorized service providers here in Bangkok have quoted me $200 to replace the cable. I ordered the replacement cable Thunderbolt Display off AliExpress for $12.50. It was really simple to replace the cable, just to keep an eye on this darn LVDS cable opening to the top of the screen!
